Life Before CHB*: My life before Camp Half-Blood was basically normal. My friends always called me 'goody goody' because I followed the rules. My dad didn't really spend time with me, seeing as he worked most of the time. I basically raised myself. In school, though, I read a lot of 'myths' to learn more about the Greek gods and goddesses.
RP Example*: Haley walks in the cabin. Where was her Celestial Bronze sword? She looks around the cabin. She hoped she wasn't late for sword fighting. Gosh! That's so much fun! Haley wondered who she'll fight today. She sighs after finding her sword and heads out of the cabin.

Last thing (not too important but it's kind of botherin' me a little): why do you say her life before CHB was terrible? Raising herself is kind of everybody's story nowadays. And being called a 'goody-goody' isn't the worst insult.
Terrible would be if she had lost family members, if monsters had been repeatedly attacking her... so on.
