Galena was relatively bored, but had an idea about something and wanted to research it. And what good was having a giant library filled with all sorts of books if you didn't use it for research? Which was why she was walking through the library with a stack of books in her arms that weighed about 35lbs and stacked almost to her eyeballs. All on psychology. Don't ask.

She was having a little trouble seeing where she was going, and was regretting her choice not to make two trips. The daughter of Athena regretted that decision even more when she tripped on someone's foot near a table and lost her balance, spilling most of the books into the guy's lap, and face, as she tried to catch her balance. Which didn't work. Which was how she ended up in the lap of a very nice looking young man, with dark skin and strong arms. All the girls just love him. "Oops, sorry, uh, hi." Galena said, trying to disentangle her self from his arms. "Sorry, sorry, OH! I didn't mean to put my knee there, sorry!"

The son of Hephaestus, Malcolm, was in the library just to get away from the craziness of Camp Half-Blood. Before he decided to come to the library, the African American demigod was working in the forge; making new weapons and refining them for other campers. Malcolm was wearing a black muscle shirt, cargo pants, and steel toed boats. He almost resembled a stereotypical drill sergeant minus the whistle and hat.

The Greek was reading one of his books on modern day technology when he felt a sudden rush of books fall into him along with a blonde haired, gray eyed girl in his arms. His eyes grew big and quickly scanned over her and the books that was now scattered around the two. "Uh, uh it's okay..um." He gently grabbed her arms and attempted to help her up. "Accidents happen."

Galena blushed with embarassment. "Yeah, accidents happen, but still, I just managed to clock you with a pile of books and...um...myself. Hi, I'm from Athena's cabin. I mean, I'm a daughter of Athena. Because I live her in cabin. Or, no, I live in her cabin that's wh... Lemme try this again. I'm Galena, a daughter of Athena. And I'm normally not this stupid or awkward. I promise." She said, as she picked up her books and set them on the table. "You?"

Malcolm had to hold back his laugh when the daughter of Athena, apparently named Galena, rambled. "It didn't hurt that much." He shrugged and smiled a bit at her. "Um, I'm Malcolm, son of Hephaetus. Nice to meet you." He greeted and stood up, seemingly towering over her. He then bent down to pick up the books that were around about them. Malcolm started to read the titles of said books, cocking his head to the side. They all had the theme of being on psychology which he knew a little bit about.

"Uh, nice to meet you too, Malcolm." She said, looking up at him. "Hephaestus, eh?So forges and making things? That's kinda cool. Athena kids just get a little bit of smarts, and that's...pretty much useless." She said, looking down at her pile of books. "I mean, a lot of non-demigods are smart. So we're just like...normal."

Malcolm shrugged his shoulders and placed a hand on one of the bookshelves that were on either side of them. "I've seen some children of Athena with some pretty cool powers. Like talking to owls, summoning them...using equations for certain things..." The blacksmith pointed out, grinning at Galena. "Now if any demigods are 'normal'.." He leaned in close to her ear. "It's the Hermes kids"

Galena laughed, then stopped and looked around to see if any of her siblings were going to violently hush her for daring make noise in the library. "Trust me, the Hermes kids are no where close to normal. But I can keep up with them on their lock picking most of the time. Some of them are faster than I am." She said, straightening out her books into piles of three. Four piles. Galena's mouth twitched unhappily. Twelve?

Well. Twelve was okay. Wasn't it? It was still a significant number. Twelve disciples. Twelve Olympians. Twelve months. Twelve gates. Twelve angels. Twelve hours on a clock-face. Twelve was an acceptable number. Piles of three. But she wanted three piles of three, not four piles of three. Three was superior to twelve. Holy trinity. Big three. Three major powers of the ancient times. Roman Trimutive. Three was superior to twelve. And four. Four was right out. So did she leave twelve and accept the fourth pile, or make nine, which had no significance except being three squared. Her face twitched awkwardly. "Three piles of four make twelve, but three piles of three... this isn't good. This isn't good at all."

Malcolm chuckled a bit and scratched his elbow with his opposite hand. "Oh? That's cool, Galena. I'm pretty good with locks...well computer locks that is." The son of Hephaestus chuckled a bit, watching her mess with the books that were once scattered on the floor. She seemed to be upset about something. Maybe it was something he said? Or wasn't the books? Malcolm didn't have a clue really, just that she looked a little annoyed. It was only when the grey-eyed demigod spoke when he realized that she didn't like the way the books were ordered. "Um, are you okay?"

Galena felt awkward when he asked if she was okay. The exact answer was no, she wasn't, she knew she was obsessing over something that was not normal. And yet, if she didn't, her anxiety levels would go through the roof. She knew she had to make it okay, even though logically there was nothing wrong with it. But life wasn't logical was it?

So the question was, did she admit to this guy that she was crazy, try to play it off as a normal issue, or did she want to risk just leaving it as is? Galena took a deep breath and with out thinking about it adjusted the piles of books again. She was halfway through adjusting it when she realized what she was doing. "It's complicated. Misfiring neurons or chemical imbalances, lack of mothering care as a child, I don't know. But three is superior to four and four is not an important number, so I need three piles of three, because three eldest gods, three fates, three levels that were divided, three is a holy number. Four is not. Four is, um, Gospels, and that's it, and that doesn't even have Greek influence except that the Gospels were written in Greek and Aramaic, but that's neither here nor there, because four is not a significant number. So three piles of four is not good. But three piles of three is nine, which is also not significant, but three piles of four or four piles of three is twelve, and twelve Olympians, twelve angels, twelve gates, twelve hours on the clock, twelve is a significant number. Nine is nothing. Twelve is important. And three. Three and twelve, and seven, but math. And math is why three and three makes nine and not twelve, because let's not make math easy on aligning numbers of significance. Which is...." Galena tapered off of her rant and hugged herself. "I swear I'm not actually as crazy as I sound. I just, uh, a little bit.. I have a little bit of OCD. And not like not like the cleaning religiously and germaphobe thing, not everything is organized!"

The African American demigod listened as she rambled on about the number three and how four wasn't an important number. "But what about there being four seasons and the four basic elements? Those make the number four pretty important." Malcolm when she finished her spill on numbers. He looked around, wondering if anyone was looking at them while they were standing in a book isle. His attention meant back to the shorter demigod, scratching his elbow once more out of nervousness. He was pretty sure a lot of kids at camp had mommy and daddy issues; maybe hers were more severe than most.

Galena ran her hand through her blonde hair, looking around and taking a deep breath again. He did think she was crazy, but at least he wasn't saying it. Out loud. Now how was she suppose to explain how four was significant to other religions, but since she didn't follow them, it didn't matter?

Everything had gotten turned around when she found out she was a demigod. Her mind was still focused on all of the Catholic numbers and symbols and everything that she had ever learned and focused. Then to find out that all of that was for naught because of Greek gods being real? It was enough to put anyone's mind in a blender. Her OCD had gotten worse from there, but she haad also read that it got worse with age too. Maybe she should have paid attention in those counselling classes. She took another deep breath. "Four elements are Bhuddist. I don't have an explanation for the seasons. Blame Demeter." She finally said, still unsure how to solve her dilemma. Unless she just carried twelve books.

Malcolm couldn't help, but stand there awkwardly as she countered his statement. "Oh, well...um." The son of Hephaestus gulped out of nervousness and scratched under his jaw. "Maybe you should just take some books away? Would that help your...issue get better?" Malcolm wasn't sure what else to say Galena. At his point he wanted to slunk back into the forge and building something instead stand there and deal with human emotions.
