Strawberry picking! (Private)

The sun was shining brightly, as brightly as Jana Kay was smiling. She loved picking strawberries, it was just like home! Squatting between the lines of tiny bushes, she swept the leaves upwards to find the biggest and reddest of them all. Her basket was already full but she kept adding more on top, creating a bit of a mountain with the occasional berry rolling down.

"Mm, these are so good," she chewed, wiping the juice off her lips with a paper tissue.

The nymphs were really nice too. Strolling around, they replaced the baskets, chatted with the campers, and helped them pick the fruit whilst steering clear of romantically awkward satyrs.
Jana Kay was wearing a splashy turquoise dress with pink shoes and a little denim jacket to protect her shoulders form the sun. Her skin was baking already. As usual, her hair was covered in flowers, there were even some blueberries sticking out.

Arms pumping and feet pounding against the ground. It had been about a year and a half since she had last been at camp so now the daughter of Ares was eleven and a half as well as a little taller. Spike was running happily next to her and her new puppy Shasta was happily running and stumbling next to her. There was only one place she wanted to go, the Strawberry Fields. She had no doubt in her mind that Jana Kay was there picking strawberries and she had to see her mom first, well no first but close to it. She had dropped her stuff of at the Demeter cabin, seeing as she still refused to sleep in the Ares cabin, and had seen a few of them as well as a boy named Alois. Stopping at the top of the entrance to the fields she saw her fellow demigodess and beamed. MOM! She shouted before running towards the daughter of Demeter. Moooooooom She continued to shout before tackling her in a massive hug.

Jana Kay looked up. Could it really be? "Anna!!" She gathered the little girl into her arms and spun around twice. "I missed you so much, little butterfly! How have you been?" By Hestia, it was really her! She loved that daughter of Ares like a mother and couldn't get enough of her. Back when she was nine, ten, she'd play with her, braid her hair, take her on horse rides, and make up ghost stories just to make her giggle. Now she had grown up a little, and she was ready to have even more fun with her little darling!

Ana smiled as she hugged her 'mother' tighter in her arms and giggled a little as Shasta began barking and jumping around the two of them. I've missed you so much Jana. I didn't like having to live at my grandparent's house for a whole year. She admitted pulling away a bit to smile at the daughter of Demeter. How are the berries? She asked looking at the strawberries in the field.

"Why don't you try one?" Jana Kay picked the biggest strawberry she could spot in her basket, and gave it to her. Through her touch, she infused it with sweetness and extra juiciness to make sure it would be delicious.

Ana smiled as she tok the berry and bit into it, letting a bit of juice slip out of the corner of her mouth. Beaming she gobbled up the rest. It's so sweet! Shasta barked a bit and jumped around in a circle as he happily wagged his rear end. Looking at the two girls he wondered if one of them would scratch his ears. Ana giggled a bit and picked up her puppy, kissing the back of his head.

"Awww, and who's that?" Jana Kay asked, crouching down to pet Shasta. "Is he your new puppy? Adorable!" Giggling, she scratched the dog's fluffy ears. He was so cute! Looking at Ana Maria, she couldn't help but widen her smile even more. Her wee daughter was back, she really was!

"Do you want to help me pick some strawberries? Then you and I can go and have a picknick! I made some ice cream today," she added with a conniving wink.

Ana giggled. That's Shasta. My grandma got him for me for christmas. She smiled. At the mention of a picnic and ice cream she nodded furiously and giggled as Shasta barked happily and stumbled over his own feet but not caring. I want sweets! She giggled.

"Then let's quickly fill this basket with strawberries so we can go!"

The two crouched between the bushes to seek for strawberries. Jana Kay made big juicy ones grow on purpose where Ana Maria was, and the basket was filled in no time.

Ana beamed as she picked the biggest strawberries and filled the basket quickly. Momma look, i got all the really big ones. She giggled while holding shasta like a baby over her shoulder.

"Well done! They look delicious!" Jana Kay then gave the basket to Jeff the satyr then took Ana's hand. "Come! Time for some food."

Ana skipped with her mom as she went to Jeff and giggled when he put a flower in her hair as usual. At the mention of food Shasta barked happily and the daughter of Ares felt her stomach growl. Food is good. She laughed a bit before following her mom.

After nicking stuff in the kitchen, Jana Kay sat down in the meadow next to the archery range with a basket full of goodies. She poured Ana a cup of fresh strawberry lemonade then laid out paper plates and finger foods. In a few minutes she had whipped together sandwich rolls, a pasta salad, and mini pies. She had made a lot of the snacks into funny shapes like boats, ladybugs or snails -- Jana Kay loved being creative with food.

Anna smiled at the drink and began sipping it happily as she watched Jana Kay work on the food and giggled when she saw the funny shapes.They look too cute to eat. She admitted.

"I could make them into monsters, if you want," she chuckled and dug in, loving the feeling of food gradually filling her belly.

Then I'll bite their heads off like a dragon. Rawr. She laughed as she bit the head off of one of the cutely shaped snacks to prove her point while Shasta jumped around happily as he ran and then fumbled over his own paws before getting up and doing it all over again not really caring how silly he looked.
