Competition Crushed (Open)

“The hardest thing to fight are Stymphalian birds. They can fly and are quite fast, plus it’s hard to do much damage to them in close combat without accidentally wounding yourself. I guess I found out what happens when Celestial Bronze and Stygian Iron hits the same open wound.” Valerie continued hacking at the dummy, talking as she went.

Keeley paused and pushed her hair out of her eyes. "Stymphilian birds?"

“Long story. Got attacked trying to... Never mind. Thing is, it’s easy to injure yourself with your own weapon in cramped quarters.” Valerie sheathed her sword and brushed the straw off her.

Keeley paused for a moment to catch her breath. Pushing her hair away from her face, she replied, "Seems like it."

“I’ll leave you be, then.” Alston said, as she brushed off a piece of stray straw that had landed on her, and started walking back to her cabin.
