    So. There is something definitely weird about this. For one, he's almost certain he's a lot shorter than he was like, a minute ago. For another, he's pretty sure the woman who was standing in front of him just poofed into non-existence in a cloud of sparkly gold smoke. And the lake has a fence around a part of it, which he's pretty sure wasn't there a minute ago either.

    Yep, there is definitely something weird going on here.

    Part of it may or may not have to do with the fact that he's beginning to think the sparkly-gold-smoke-cloud-lady might have been a goddess. So he takes a hesitant look around, and does what any demigod would do.

    He sits down in the grass at the sloping hill and reevaluates his life. "At least I got Riptide with me," he mutters absently, patting the thin lump in his pocket.

    nico just wanted to go for a calming walk, honestly. a kid had gotten hurt during sword practice, and will made him help bandage the kid up and stay with him until he was steady enough to go back, and then he missed lunch to top it all off. the lake seems mostly deserted for the time being, up until he sees a puff of gold-glittery smoke that can never mean anything good.

    he pauses for a minute to take a deep breath and try to convince himself that it's just a hecate kid testing out a new trick before squaring his shoulders and walking over the hill to check it out. "hello?" he calls out as he makes his way towards the site of...whatever happened down there.

    nico notices a boy, and he takes a deep breath to loudly ask percy what the hades just went on, but then he notices how short the boy is which doesn't add up at all. percy jackson is definitely not that short, but his tousled hair and even the way he's sitting look so much like percy that it's almost dizzying.

    His hand clenches reflexively on Riptide, but he shrugs off the initial defensiveness and turns to the voice with an easy, sheepish grin.

    And it's like a movie, because there's a boy making his way down the slope of the hill warily, the sun shining behind him - but the boy himself makes the sun seem dull. Percy's smile freezes on his face and he swallows.

    The guy's got messy dark hair, fair skin, and his dark, strangely familiar eyes make the phrase "bedroom eyes" spring to mind, although he's only heard the phrase mentioned by some Apollo kids once and isn't 100% sure what it means.

    "I, uh," Percy stammers, and he feels his face burning. This guy has to be the most gorgeous person Percy's ever seen, ever (and once the fountain in his cabin magically exploded so he had to spend a night in the Aphrodite cabin and he'd had a crapton of magazines shoved at his face and so had seen his fair share of male models). Percy swallows again, and tries to blink away the stars that are probably in his stupid eyes.

    "I'm not sure what happened but I think I made a mistake," he says, shrugging. Great. Now he sounds like an idiot. "Uh, so - who're you?" he tacks on, because he doesn't think he's ever seen the guy around (he would have remembered.lol just redoing this post w sienna's code
