I ducked her slash and turned slashing at her right knee.She might have been a tired seeing her yawn like that, but Somnus was the god of sleep or something so she must feel tired frequently.I wonder if I had any battle advantages besides power form being the son of Folgura, her being a lightning god and all.

I jumped back, but his sword grazed my knee and left a small cut there. It wasn't really enough to hurt, though it bled a little. I yawned again and slashed at his midsection, trying to anticipate his next move. He was in to doing fancy moves instead of blocking -- I could use that to my advantage. Being fancy in battle would get you nowhere but with the other dead souls in the Underworld.

I got a clean cut on my side but backed off before it would have cut deep.I saw her yawn again, I really hoped she didn't think I was boring nor lame but I shook it off and sent a jab at her sword arm.

I moved my sword quickly to block it, then backed up a little, looking for another way to disarm him. Hm. I jabbed at the fingers on his sword hand experimentally, not aiming to cut them off or anything. Just to see how he'd react.

I quickly moved my left hand, what was she planning.I watched her movements trying to read them as she might have been reading mine.What was my next move, maybe I should try something new.I jumped back then pointed my sword towards her and kept it in a whirl motion, trying to see if it would confuse her.Most likely it wouldn't have but I gave it a shot anyways.

I raised an eyebrow, but acted indifferent, moving away from his front to slash at his other side. His parent wasn't a wind god, so I didn't see what that had to do with anything. Again, he was using flashy moves. That wouldn't be to his advantage, especially if I started pulling some myself -- I was more of a simple person myself, but I knew from experience flashy moves could easily get you hurt, even killed.

I jumped back, which kept the slash from cutting my skin. It did cut my pant leg, though, which sort of annoyed me. I'd have to repair that later. Mentally adding that on to my to-do list, I figured, hey, let's just try hitting him from behind. I moved towards his back, slashing multiple times at his torso area.

I jumped to the side, the jab grazing my arm and leaving a jagged, but shallow, cut along my arm. Maybe one or two inches long. Well, that was another thing to add to my to-do list -- repair sweatshirt. Gods. I jabbed at the forearm of his sword hand, aiming for make a least a minor gash.

Her sword had managed to cut my sword hand and I dropped my sword but I caught it with my right hand and jumped to the side, trying to create distance.I took a deep breathe and then slashed at her shoulder.

I jumped back, the sword harmlessly skimming my sweatshirt and leaving a little tear there. I slashed at his torso, mainly aiming for his sword arm/wrist area. I was getting a little tired now, though I couldn't tell whether it was from the fact that I usually was or that I really was exerting that much energy. Maybe both.

I simply moved my arm and sword away from his so that he was no longer skimming my blade, and then I slashed at his sword wrist, scoffing. A nice try, but definitely not good enough. I'd seen this done before, but to be successful at it he had to be a lot faster.

I ducked underneath the slash and slashed at his torso, underneath his arm. Another flashy move, and a clear opening for me to attack. Romans weren't supposed to do such fancy attacks.

Noticeably, Zack had gotten a little slower. I blocked again and sent a slash at his sword arm again, gloating to myself mentally. I was right. Fancy moves were basically useless in battle -- you had to be simple, but quick and strategic. Block, stab, jab, slash. No twirling or any of that useless crap.
