"Oh, yeah. Sure it is." I nodded, bringing up one of my old mental notes -- Crius wasn't good at conversation. A shame, since I barely had anybody to talk to anyway, and he was the person I saw the most around here.

"My little pony." I think for a minute. Ah yes, that show with the pink horse--kinda lame, but I didn't say that in front of Lucy. I try to think: what to say?. Ah, yes! "So, how's CJ so far? Like, how's your life going? What's been going on?" I ask. I got on the horse. I wish I had one.

"CJ.... Well, I've just been taking a really long walk around camp. Pretty nice, though it's sort of barren. Not that many people out and about, sort of scares me a little." I shrugged, still looking out the open door. "Otherwise, I've been fine. Not sleepy so far, though this is a bit rare for me."

I nod. "...I've basically just been chilling around CJ." I look around, thinking of something else to say. I smile nervously. I sat down on the horse. "Oh...when's prom?" I blurt out. How did I come across that? The world may never know.

I blinked, staring at Crius for a long, long moment. What? Prom, in Camp Jupiter? Never heard of one during the few years I'd been here. "What do you mean, when's prom? This camp rarely has dances at all, much less a prom."

"I just blurted it out," I say truthfully. Suddenly, the horse took off. It bumped into the tables, grabbing a rope, and nudging me. I grabbed the rope, and hang on. I yell, as the horse races throughout the fields. When it comes back, I am dirty. My hair had mud all over it, with a sleek leaf on the top of my head. I got off the horse. "Now, that was awesome!" I say, grinning widely.

I blinked, shaking my head at Crius. Really.... boys these days. They usually liked to get themselves into trouble somehow; the ones who didn't were pretty rare in my opinion."You could have gotten hurt, and then it wouldn't have been awesome, Crius. Next time, don't let yourself get dragged by a horse. You could die and I'd be witness to something like a trampling."

"Sorry," Crius says, feeling sorry. He didn't want to die by that. She was probably thinking he was stupid now. Crius looked up. "Wanna try a ride?" he asks.

"Uh, no thanks. I like looking and brushing, but not actually riding." The war elephant we used for War Games, though, could be an exception -- that thing was pretty darn awesome.

I looked at Crius funny for a moment, then just shook my head. We were just friends, that'd be awkward. Really awkward, more so than I could be when I didn't get enough sleep.

"Yeah, I see that." That was a bit blunt of me, but hey, he really needed to watch his words. I looked out the open stable door, frowning slightly when I saw a humming faun pass by in a Hawaiian shirt.
