Close Combat Training

I sigh, and look at Rave, asking for help with my eyes.

Rave nodded to Percy, as if to say "I've got this", and immediately spoke to Brooke.

"Percy doesn't want to hurt you," he said, keeping an arm around her to comfort. "Hes a friend, he wants to help."

"H..How can you be so trusting?" Brooke asks Rave. One person she did trust was him, so he would tell her the truth...hopefully.

"Because, I can sense it in people," he said honestly. "Its not a power or anything, I can just tell who is nice, and trustworthy, and who isn't. We can trust Percy."

I looked at this guy, and felt quite touched at his words.

He's good at this.

I....I guess I can try to trust him.' Brooke tells Rave as she stands up. She wipes her eyes and walks over to Percy. 'I'm sorry about that. It is just that my past has screwed me up.'

"I guess so, yes." Brooke answers Percy.

'Oh yeah.' Brooke says as she stands up. She runs over to an armor rack and suits up. Once she does that, she runs back over to Rave and Percy. 'You ready?' she asks Rave.

"Wait, we're fighting now?" I ask, slightly confused.

A grin appears on Raves face as he takes a fair few steps back and draws his bow.

"Hell yeah, Percy, but don't have a moan when you get beaten," he chuckles.

'First, I thought this was close combat. Second, how are we going to do this?' Brooke questions Rave.

"Free for all," Rave smiles rather madly. "Want to test Percy. And powers are allowed. Basically an all-out fight."

"All out fight?" I wonder, before beginning to lighten up, and Raves smile suddenly appeared on my own face. "I'm up for that."

'Okay then.' Brooke says as she takes off her armor. It would be easier to move around without an extra twenty or thirty pounds weighing her down. She forms a star in her hand and nods at the boys.

"Lady's first I believe," Rave said gentlemanly.

I draw my pen, and bring forth Riptide, holding it in both hands, and getting ready to use my powers if need be.

'Manners don't exist in a real battle, so why bother with them in training?' Brooke asks Rave. She takes a few steps backwards so she would have an ample amount of time to dodge a strike.

Brooke anticipated this much. She quickly drops down, and once the arrow safely soars over her head, she pops back up and launches twp ninja stars at both Rave and Percy.

I watch as Rave fires his shot at Brooke, and smiles at seeing the skill in which she avoided it. Then, seeing her launch a weird sort of ninja star at me, I swing Riptide to the right, smacking the star and sending it fly to the ground.

"Too easy," I say, forming a battle stance.

Rave rolls to the right, before lodging two arrows into his bow, and sending them both at Brooke.

OOC; Sorry, was on holiday

Brooke shuffles to the left just in time to avoid the first arrow. She out stretches her hand as she forms a star in it. She quickly throws the star at the next arrow and it explodes on contact with it. She smirks at Rave. "Too easy."

OOC: Sorry it took me so long! I went on a sorta-vacation.

OOC: Oh its cool, and btw just wanna say that one arrow will eventually hit ;)

I watch this distraction and quickly take it as a chance to charge towards Brooke, holding Riptide firm in my right hand. She notices me coming, just as I expected her to, but I quickly draw water from the ground, form it into a very large ball about the size of me, and chuck it at her, running forth then, performing a slice of my blade.

Brooke saw the charge, but not the water. She is pushed back by the sheer force of it, and struggles to stay on her feet. Dazed, she feels a sudden pain in her chest. She takes a couple steps back to prevent any other slashes from hitting their target. Clutching her wound in one hand she forms a star in the other. In the blink of an eye, the star is soaring through the air straight towards Percy.

'You are better than you look.' Brooke pants as she takes the time that Percy took dodging her star to gain her breath. She quickly looks down to her chest, but immediately right back up just in case Percy was to attack her. It was quite a cut. A large gash started at her right side then proceeded a little to the right of her other side.


Gasping for breath, Brooke forms another star. Her last one for the day. She holds it in her hands, her eyes only trained on Percy. She had totally forgotten about Rave.

Rave then point his arrow tip carefully onto Brooke's shoulder, before stepping slightly back, his arrow trained ready at her back.

"Sorry babe, got a feeling you lose," he grins.

I stand, weapon at the ready, looking at Rave. I gotta admit, it was kinda unfair just ganging up on the girl, I should probably make some sort of offensive at the cunning guy...

"Huh?" Brooke says as she whips around to face Rave. Oh gods, he had an arrow trained right on her.She stands there, not knowing what to do. She had one star left. Should she use it on Percy or on Rave?
