Vic looked Jaison up and down like he was some mutant or down-syndrom.

    - Victoria, she angrily replied. Daughter of Intelligence. So if you don't know how to integrate a function, you'd better not talk to me, okay?

    Victoria raised an arrogant eyebrow.

    - Are you sure of that? Of course it's an honor to spend time with me. But I thought people didn't like me because I'm too intelligent for them.

Victoria's eyes widened. Nobody had ever told her that.

    - Oh, thanks. I mean, of course I'm amazing. So what was your name, Jason, right? Well Jason, you seem to be more intelligent than the others. May I sit down next to you?

Victoria sat down next to him and took out her booklet.

    - So tell me, what do you wanna talk about? Differential equations? Integrates? Geology? Oh wait, I think I found something that could interest us both.

She searched in the booklet and finally took out a ship sketch.

    - Why don't we talk about the best architecture for a trireme? she suggested.

-Great! WOW! you are so smart!! Don't joke me... but... I also love arcitecture!!! Really now, did you know that the first triremes constructed between 650-610 B.C? they are very beautifull boats don't you think?...I said and looked her in the eyes surprised!! Arcitecture was a big passion for me so I was glad to have someone else to speak with!!

Victoria's eyes glistened. This boy really seemed to have a brain under this blonde hair.
And his historic knowledge confirmed her thoughts.

    - Yes, I know those dates. In fact, they appeared in Ionia and were the most used type of ships between 600 and 400 B.C. Ah, I sometimes dream about that battle at Salamine, with Themistocles. I'm proud to be Athenian sometimes - by "Athenian", I mean that I identify myself with this city. I ain't greek or stuff. Anyway, back to the architecture of it.

She looked at the sketches she had drawn.

    - Look, she said. I think I've done it all well, though something is still bothering me... Is it the frame? No, the weight should be okay. The hull, then? No, I drew cables for that precise reason... Hmm...

    - Of course, you're right! Victoria cried out. I didn't think I would forget that! I only drew 150.

    Quickly, she added some rows.

    - Is it better now? Yes, it is.

Victoria smirked her little self-satisfied smirk that drove most people to stalk off, saying "Stop boasting!". But somehow she knew it wouldn't scare Jason off.

    - Ah triremes, she dreamily said. And thanks for the compliment - I mean, I know it's awesome, but I'm glad you have the intelligence to appreciate it.

She perfected it a bit more with her pencil, then watched the drawing thoughtfully.

    - What battle type do you think would be better for it? Diekplous, kuklos or periplous? Oh wait, she suddenly said, I have forgotten something.

She stood up and left the cabin.

Victoria stepped back in, with her maths book under her arm. She smiled at Jason and sat next to him again.

    - Sorry for having left, she said, I'm back.

She opened her book and started reflecting on a complicated equation she knew could help for building a trireme.

-Hey, let me guess...You're making equations to calculate the weight of the boat and by that way understand which battle type fits beter? It's not indeed so simple...

Victoria's eyes glistened with pleasure, adding green highlights to her grey gaze. Wow, she was starting to really appreciate this guy.

    - You're smart, she noticed. I am indeed doing those calculations. But the level is okay, she added, looking back at her book. I just need to applicate some theorems, and that's it.

She drew her pencil and booklet out of her pocket and started writing the calculations down.

After having spent three minutes twenty-four on the equation, Victoria raised her pencil.

    - Got it! she smiled. See, because of the weight of the ship and the angle it has with the sea (admitting it's horizontal), it's best use for the kuklos!

Her pencil continued stroking the paper, she erased some, then retraced it. As Jason spoke, she looked up and frowned.

    - But we aren't allowed, now are we? I mean, no demigods can eat together at the same table unless they are in the same cabin.
