I rub my hands together nervously, shaking from the inside out, "H-hey," I let out a small giggle as the wind blows my bangs out of my face. This was a big step. I was none to take big steps without thinking. Was this a mistake? I guess I'd find out.

Thomas smiled, pulling the daughter of Aphrodite towards him for a quick kiss. This was a big step for him. All his life, he had been alone. It was even more alone after his family had been killed by monsters. Now he was about to take his life and make it a permanent addition to someone else's. Was he nervous? Definitely. Would he do anything different? Never. Pecking her lips one more time, he took her hand, the engagement ring she wore shining, it seemed. "So. Here we are.... Just waiting on the cab, huh?"

My hands are shaking absurdly. My throat is dry and I begin to shiver despite the warm summer sun lacing itself between the breezes, "Yup. I'm uh...excited?" I think back to all my mistakes. Emma, who was a beautiful addition to my life, was still not planned, and had made things harder. I thanked the gods for her everyday, but the point was a strange series of events lead to her birth. I had made too many mistakes. This better not be one.

"You don't know that," I blurt out. I stop shaking a bit more, but I still shiver. It was time to just roll with it, "We're so young. What if in 10 years, this is the worst choice we ever made?"

No matter what, I'll always be right here by your side, ready to take on the world, just to make it safe for you and your, no, our daughter, whom I would put down any amount of money is going to grow up to be a strong dynamic woman like you." Giving her another kiss, he started down the Hill. "Now come on. The cab's here."
