by It was Laure's first dance at Camp Half-Blood and she had to say, these Greeks knew how to throw a party. Especially a Halloween one. The feast was spreading from the meadow up to what was their Mess Hall, where the DJs had their table, and the whole perimeter was turned onto a graveyard dotted with jack o' lanterns and vapour ghosts.
Laure walked past a crooked Celtic cross stuck in the ground and smiled at Lindia. The two had arrived from Camp Jupiter in the late afternoon specially for this party and had been led to rooms where they could get prepared and sleep at later on.
They had just walked between the white marble pillars of the Mess Hall. Laure was dressed as a deer, with brown eye shadow spread across her cheeks, forehead and chin, long black eyeliner and cream makeup dots, a headband with fake deer ears and antlers in her blonde wavy hair. But that was the only deer part of her. She was wearing a glittery orange gauze strapless dress with a layered skirt trimmed with sequins, stalking in apricot and raspberry colored high heeled sandals. She had golden bracelets on her arms and a string of pearls around her neck, walking towards the bar where a daughter of Dionysus handed her a pomegranate mojito with vanilla sugar.
