arriving at your destination on left {private; BoO spoilers abound}

The entire plane ride had been a blur to Aidan, but now all she wanted to do was lay down and sleep. She had only ridden a plane once before and that was to visit her grandpa in Texas; she had been only five then and slept the whole way.

Her nerves, however, forbade her from even sleeping a wink during the ride; she feared being in a plane crash, being attacked by air monsters (granted, Stella was probably well-known among them and probably had warned them away from her if she got Aidan's note), being attacked by the Romans for even bothering to come, and so on and so forth.

Her bag was heavy, she noticed irritably as the duo trudged through the door leading to the camp through the Caldecott Tunnel. Stupid Rhy and his stupid college search.

Rhy looked at his half sister and couldn't hall but smile. She showed that she was annoyed. It was probably because of him and him dragging her along. But , she chose to come. They soon saw a tunnel gaureded by two people. He looks at the darker toned one. He was well built. He had no armor on. But held a golden pitch pipe. Rhy started to walk to them.
Red saw two kids walk to torward him. He told the other kid to get out of here just in case things got ugly. "Who are you?"
"I'm Rhyolo and this is aidan." He gestures to his half sister.

Aidan frowned at the rather tall, muscular guard in front of the tunnel entrance, not sure if she should wave to him, greet him, what? She didn't want to be there, and in a way it would have been clear on her face: she was slightly miserably, a bit cranky from the airplane ride to California to get to Camp Jupiter, lips a thin line and slightly pale, her hair a bit more unkempt than she wanted it to be. There had been no incidents of monster attacks on the plane ride, at least, or else Aidan's mood really would have been ten times worse than it was right now.

But since she thought Rhy didn't know how to properly talk to others without riling them up, she interjected quickly, "We're from Camp Half Blood. Kids of Pyriphphlegethon, fire river god from the Underworld. We're here to, uhm..." She thought a moment, then looked at Rhy to further explain.

Red beamed at the mention of his father's name. "Wait, you two are children of Pyriphlegethon too?"
"Yep. Didn't want to reveal that quite yet. Or the fact we were Greek." Rhy shot an annoyed look at aidan saying, DO YOU WANT US TO GET IMPALED!
"Its all good bro. Your lucky you ran into I think the only sibling you would have here."
"Now first things first, can we uhh... Get inside the camp?"
"there is aagical river and I'm not sure if it will let you across. So to b safe I'll shadow travel you across."

Oh lord. Shadow-travel.

Aidan hated the odd feeling of weightlessness that came with any type of magical transportation; she'd gone through her sister's air-travelling perhaps over thirty times in the past few years, and never could shake off the odd feeling of coldness that came with it. She was a fire demigod, after all; she could withstand regular cold, but magical cold such as the one she would experience with Stella.... Well, she'd avoid it if she could help it, even if that was a bit different from shadow-travel.

She cleared her throat slightly, glancing around at their surroundings before venturing nervously, "Er, is there... any other way to get into camp? I can't really... handle teleporting."

"Not unless you wan to risk being torn apart by the little Tiber I suggest shadow travel." Red said it with a serious tone.

No bridges? Well, Aidan thought that was highly impractical and very suspicious, if she knew anything about magical rivers. (Her godly father was one of them, after all, but not of actual water. So did that count? She wasn't sure.) "Er, okay. Okay. Just do it fast or I might vomit."

Red nods. "I'm guessing you have not shadow travled before. It usually takes less than a second. But okay. Grab my hands." Red holds out his hands.
Rhyolo grabs one of them.

Not shadow-travel, but close enough to make Aidan uncomfortable. Hesitantly, she reached out and grabbed the boy's hand, mentally swearing at herself for her weak resolve. Should have let Rhy go alone, dammit... Mentally she braced herself, digging her heels into the ground as she prepared for the odd light sensation she thought was to come.

"Here we go." Red focused on their shadows. Then they melted into them. It was less than a millisecond before they were on the other side of the little Tiber. "See? Wasn't that bad."
Rhy smiles. "I wish I had that power."

No, it certainly was. Aidan had felt so unnaturally cold when they'd melted into the shadows, so cold -- she was shivering and felt light-headed, hugging herself now to try to stop. "Freakin' motion sickness," she muttered, rubbing her eye.

Rhy puts his arm around his sister. "I know you aren't ok right now. How long 'til you think you can walk?"

The demigod shook her head, blinking hard as she tried to get her bearings again. "Er, maybe a few minutes. Let me... siddown." And so Aidan plopped herself on the ground so she wouldn't vomit while standing, holding her head in her hands. "Don't worry 'bout me; do your thing."

"Red can we wait until Aidan feels better?"
"Sure."
Rhy turned to his sister. "We'll wait here until you feel you can stand without throwing up."

"Thanks," she muttered miserably, swallowing hard to keep herself from vomiting. Aidan ran her hand over her face and looked around, smiling weakly and rather artificially at what she could see at ground-level of Camp Jupiter. "Golly gee, at least your grass is nice."

After a couple of minutes of grass small talk red asks, "you feel good to stand?"

Clearing her throat for a second, Aidan paused and -- "Yeah, I'm better. Thanks for waiting." She stood up shakily and ran a hand through her hair nervously. Bad first impression, really, but she couldn't help having that type of motion sickness. Magic was so weird sometimes. "So. Where to?"
