Em half dived, half dragged herself out of the way of the attack. However, unfortunately it was not enough to completely take her out of the blast. Flames licked hungrily at her right leg, she screamed in agony, the searing pain of the flame worse in her mind as her right leg was more sensitive to her.
She patted wildly at the flames, rolling over on the ground trying to extinguish the flames.

Oho, undead soldiers? How nice. The Furby watched them rise out of the ground like some sort of human meerkats, creaking in much the same way the automaton was due to years of inactivity. But they had weapons of which it had already seen and, truthfully, didn't need to worry about; the undead were nothing compared to the might of Master Hephaestus' creations.

With a few creaking and clicking noises from its joints, the Furby opened its mouth and spat out a small stream of hydra venom -- collected by a few of Master Hephaestus' servants for his own purposes -- at the rising undead.

Acid? How in Pluto's Palace was it spraying acid now? Two of the four undead warriors were practically dissolved, the other two have dove out of the way and had bayonets fixed and were now starting to charge. Asina wanted to help Emily, she had heard the scream, but there was little she could do right now, especially with her own arm burned badly.

A thought occurred to her. She did have her spear. It was around her waist. She pulled the scrotum and it turned into her heavy elm hasta. Scrambling to her feet at the same time her other two undead attacked, Asina ran headlong towards the Evil Blue Demon-Thing, quickly covering the few remaining cubits and rammed the hasta as hard as she could towards it's right eye before diving towards the thing's right side, assuming that turning and spitting flames would be more difficult if she was right up next to it.

Emily rolled over, flailing in wild panic and desperation as she struggled to put the fires out. Every time the daughter of Death got close to succeeding, the small patches left seemed to burn with a renewed ferocity. Em tried her best not to scream out loud in agony but some pains justified some unholy wails of pain and distress. "AHH!" She batted at the fires, still trying to put them out. "AHH GODS!" After what seemed like an eternity, the daughter of Death finally managed to put the flames down. Em moaned in pain, squeezing her eyes tightly shut against the waves of pure distilled agony, tears of pain falling down her cheeks.
She had not felt this sought of pain in ages, not since the early days of being a Hunter or that time she managed to get herself stuck up on the climbing wall at Camp Half-blood.
