As the sun burned high in the sky, blazing down and killing everything it set its gaze upon, people crowded around in every shaded area they could. The forum, though typically relatively crowded, was pretty empty, outside of the few couples who sat under the cover of tabletop umbrellas. Even they looked pretty hot, though.

Pretty much the only one not muttering about the heat or sitting inside was the young blonde skipping down the stone street, chocolate mint icecream cone in hand, humming a script song somewhat loudly. She greeted all the people she saw with a nod, a wave, a smile, and maybe even the occasional word. Most people, though, were staring at her footware to notice.

Yes, it might be the middle of a hot California June, but Ferro saw no time of the year that wasn't the appropriate time for boots. While she might've taken a (sad but needed) break from her precious fur-lines, she couldn't completely give up her love for the shoes. And, yeah, they kind of made her look good, especially with her loose floral sundress. he didn't even know she had a floral sundress, but she'd fond it while packing, and decided it would be a good necessity for a whole month in an unexplored place.

Finishing her ice cream, she stopped in front of a small store-and-restaurant combo, smiling energetically. A tall, muscular man exited the store entrance, into a store front food and drink bar, wearing the same smile. "Ferret! How are you this beautiful day?"

Ferro skipped over the name issue, leaning against the wooden bar. "Wonderful, actually, outside of a small bit of homesickness. And you, amice?" She replied lightly, tilting her head back so she could see him while facing away.

"Well, very well. Can I get you anything? On the house for the lovely lady,"

"I don't suppose we have any lemonade?" She asked, turning back around so she could look him in the eye, playing lightly with her hair as she did.

"That, we do," He quickly and rather elaborately fixed her a tall glass of the yellow drink, smiling as he expertly slid it to her and added a tiny blue umbrella.

"Thank you, Georgie." She half-laughed, pulling out a few denari and placing them on the table. "A tip for the chivalry."
