Vegetables are not effective weapons

Asina was just about to answer Abigail when the lion leaped. She pulled up her hasta, a sense of deja vu hitting her, but it didn't land on her or Abigail. Instead, it stopped short of the two Hunters with a confused look on its face and lettuce by it. "Run, Abigail!" Asina barked, hoisting up the hasta for a possible throw at the large tiger, but she was backing up, keeping her feet steady. "Give yourself some distance. It's weaknesses are eyes, mouth, nose. Unpiercable fur. Trisha, how fare thee?"

The second Abigail could sense the pounce, she'd rolled forward, recovering to stare at where she had been standing. Not far from there, there was a massive lion. The nemean lion. Abigail was almost stunned at the size of it. Hercules had killed one of these for his labors. And although Abigail could feel intimidation, she was glad she was where she was now. She decided it in her head, that this nemean lion was going down. She'd fought many monsters, but nothing as massive as this. Little did the lion know, that all it was was the prey of true hunters.

Little did Abigail know, she was facing something much stronger than she knew.

Eyes, mouth, and nose. Abigail sheathed her knife. She had a gut feeling she would be using it before the battle was over. Taking the necessary distance away to have somewhat of a saftey zone, Abigail felt ready. She took her bow from her back and notched an arrow immediately. The shot was shaky, with how fast it was lined. And although she had the arrow aimed at the eye, it hit right next to it, bouncing off of the mane.

Trisha trembled on the branch, next to her basket of assorted fruits and vegetables. "Not too well." She whimpered, none of the Hunters till now knew about her phobia of lions. She couldn't control her phobia, the raw fear and terror that pumped through her veins, making her heart feel like a trapped bird in a cage. She struggled to keep breathing regularly.
"Please... Keep it away!" She wailed from her safety of the tree, shaking with fear.

Asina cursed in Latin, her mind temporarily clouded from English. Her grip was slick against the hasta from the cold sweat she had gone into seeing the lion. She thrust the hasta at it's nose to keep it at bay, but was fairly certain that wouldn't keep working. "Abby, mouth. Trish, throw vegetables!"
