Talking to Rachel.............i mean the oracle

"Messing with other people? Are you one of those psychos around camp who try killing people?" Rachel asked in a sudden moment of interest/rage, then immediately felt embarrassed. "Sorry.... I just hear so much about those people."

"That's one of the reasons the psychos use," Rachel muttered, entering the room herself. She shut the door behind her and began to throw away empty paint containers. "Kalika, right?"

"Huh. I got sent a vision from Apollo about this...." Rachel frowned, then rummaged around in a pile of books.

Rachel stopped when she saw a book called Wuthering Heights, sighing as she picked it up and muttered, "Stupid school read--"

She paused, her eyes glowing green, and she turned to Kalika, dropping the book on the ground as she recited:

"To the encaged sword.

Find the lost Island.

To the land of the desert

The red jewel for the waking

Your key to the nest,

The nest of the repellent,

With the gift of a lifetime."

Rachel's eyes stopped glowing, and she shakily sat down on the ground, breathing hard. "Gods. I hate that so much..."

I'm startled when she starts and calms down when she finishes.

Rachel nodded, her vision slightly blurry. "Yeah.... Thanks for asking. I'll get better in a few moments. Mind handing me that water bottle on the nightstand?"

"Thanks." Rachel took the water and chugged it down, throwing it into her recycling bin. "Did you... did you catch the prophecy?"

I offer my hand to no one in particular.

I pull my hand back awkwardly and slide it into my pocket.
