Re: Christine's bunk
I walked back into my cabin after a month.I saw my bunk with the blue blanket.Excactly how I had left it.I walked towards it with a big smile.I let my suitcase on my bed and opened it.I took a bag out of it and hided it into the closet. Then I put the suitcase under my bunk and lied down, falling asleep quickly.

Re: Christine's bunk
I held my new book close to my chest as I pushed the cabin door open and headed straight to my bunk on the far end of the cabin, leading Vicky behind me. "Here you go - the Athena cabin! Much less spectacular than it seems - or than it should be, but details. I can make us some tea or hot cocoa if you want, pretty sure we have some sandwiches?" I wonderer, mostly to myself, as I dumped the book on my bed and reached the small kitchen we had installed a few months ago

Re: Christine's bunk
"Cocoa. That would be fine." Vicky said, smiling, sitting down on the bunk. She took the history book she was originally reading, along with Renaissance. Christine moved to her mini kitchen. Vicky opened the marked page of the book and began running swiftly through the lines and pages until she reached the part where she stopped. The assassination of the Austrian prince on January 28th, 1914; uneventfully starting World War I. "And sandwiches as well." she said, keeping her gaze on the pages.

"Aye aye sir" I laughed and shook my head as I boiled some milk and made some cheese and ham toasts. "So, how old are you, Vicky?"

Re: Christine's bunk
"That's a wee bit personal question, aye. If ye insisted then it's 'zichten', mate." Vicky joked, imitating a Scottish accent which she tried so hard and fortunately it sounded Scottish in a way. She failed to suppress a laugh. "Anyways, yeah, I'm 16, to clarify, if you failed to get the word. You, Christine?" she raised an eyebrow, putting the book on her lap.

Re: Christine's bunk
"I'm 15. Sorry if I stepped over the line, I didn't mean to. I have a thing with understanding were boundaries lie, with my friends and much more with strangers. Not that you're a stranger - Gods, no! - but you're not exactly a friend either. You're in that middle stage, much like the passing from childhood to the teenage years and from that to adulthood. Or fron day to night. Which in that case, the middle stage is the mid-day to afternoon, which you can say is also a passing so there is a middle stage to that too which would be..."I trailed off and paused for a moment before blushing and placing the cups and plates on a disk. "I'm babbling again, aren't I? Well, here"I mumbled as I placed the disc with the food on my bedside table

Re: Christine's bunk
"Thank you." Vicky smiled, picking up the sandwich and took a bite. Christine's homemade sandwich was absolutely amazingly delicious. "It's good." she complimented. Taking a sip of the cocoa, she laid it down on the table again and continued. "And actually, I'm fine with asking my age. I was simply joking."

Re: Christine's bunk
"Oh. Well, as I said, I have a thing with boundaries. And making things awkward. Like I did right now. Yay me!" I mumbled and sat down at the end of the bed, crossing my legs beneath me and staring down mortified.

Re: Christine's bunk
"Aye." Vicky shrugged. Finishing the drink, she laid the empty cup on the bed. Then she picked up Renaissance briefly to look again at the cover. Only til now did she realize the book was old. Its cover had a few torn marks, wrinkles filled the first few dozen pages, and someone had put a layer of tape on the cover, unequal and misaligned. But it was readable material. "Besides, boundaries for me is thin."

Re: Christine's bunk
"It means I don't have problems with most personal questions. Name, age, birthday, birthplace, et cetera, you name it. Basically I'm an open book, albeit this 'open book' has a few glued pages in it." Vicky said. "As for strangers, this book is sealed like blast doors in military compounds. Very very sturdy, almost to the point of indestructible and impenetrable, if it wasn't for its terrible off switches they installed." she made a metaphor, or simply a comparison. "But, you can always consider me as a friend. I always loved making new friends." she said reassuringly.
