Xander looked around proudly, trying to keep his calm. He didnt want to set the whole forest on fire. He moved over to a old tree trunk and rested on it, looking up at the sky.

I walked in, a smug look plastered in my face. I yawned a little, and cracked my stuff neck. My so called "friends" had bet me fifty bucks that I couldn't survive 24 hours in the woods. And so far, I was doing pretty well. I'd managed to survive the night, and avoid the harpies. I looked pretty beat up; covered in dirt and cuts and bruises. But I was fine. Anybody who thought otherwise was dead wrong.

Xander looked up and noticed a girl, around his age, wondering around the forest. She looked beat up and dirty. Maybe in need of a bath. He looked down at his knees hoping she wouldn't notice. He wasn't the best with conversation.

In the background, I heard shuffling. And at first I thought it was nothing, but when it got closer, and I distinctly heard hissing, I grit my teeth in frustration. "Dammit," I hissed, and took out my battle axe.

Xander heard some hissing from behind some trees. He saw the girl grab her battle axe. There must be a fight. He didn't have any weapons on him but he had his powers.

Post by Steve Rogers 3/8/2013, 7:33 pm

A huge, reptilian snake monster with two writhing heads suddenly burst out of the foliage. I was absolutely exhausted and didn't want a fight, but I couldn't stop a smirk from sliding across my face. In the back of my mind I wondered: could I fight this thing off by myself?

Xander stood up and sighed as he looked at the snake monster. He didn't want to see this girl die but he didnt want to help. He shrugged and snapped his finger, igniting them. He threw the fireball at the snake.

The snake roared and hissed, but I didn't notice the fireball. I slashed my axe but barely nicked it. A fireball exploded from its God Damn mouth and I leaped back. I threw a dagger, and caught it in one of its eyes. The thing writhed in agony, and while I celebrated my little victory, I didn't notice its tail curl around my ankle until I was flying through the air. I slammed against a tree and my wrist snapped. I howled in pain, but quickly grit my teeth. In honestly wasn't worse than Roller Derby. Now I was pissed. Time to get my sh*t together. I took off my shoes and reached for my backpack, changing into my roller skates. Time to show this god damn snake who was boss. I went skating for my axe- which I dropped. I craddled my broken arm, the whole time avoiding the snake's fire.

Xander stood up and ran towards the girl. Thank gods he did track. The snake hissed fire at the girl and he intercepted it, running by her and being hit with the fire. His shirt burned of but his skin remained intact. "Ill distract it!" He shouted, sending fireballs at it.

"I can do it myself!" I yelled indignantly, Italian accent lacing my words. One of the heads spat fire at me, and I collapsed to the ground, curling in on myself from the pain. A good portion of my upper back and my left leg were totally burnt (it wouldn't have done that much damage, but me being a Chione kid... Well, fine and ice don't mix well.) I cried out in pain, but refused to let tears fall. I got up on my feet, stumbling. Okay, NOW I was pissed. I brought my axe down but only manage to slice off its tail.

Xander watched this girl. She was a decent fighter, but then again, she is very hurt. He backed up so he could watch the fight from a distance, and apply the killing blow when needed.

I skated around the front of the monster, feeling weak and disoriented. When the monster lowered its head to bite me, I slashed at its face.

Xander sighed. He pulled out a small lighter and started playing with it. He set it on fire and moved his fingers threw the flame, smiling as he did so.

Finally, I'd had enough. With a huge battle cry, I created a mountain of ice; a huge spike, right through the face of the snake. And it came crashing down, dead. Then disappeared.

Xander looked at her arm. It was swelling and purple. "Let go of your arm, clutching it would crush the bone more." He stated. He moved next to her and pulled out a vial of nectar, wiggling it around his fingers.
