Tapping his foot on the ground, Dante began to think. He was sitting on the bench near the fountain that was centered in the middle. His jet-black hair and green eyes almost made him resemble a son of Poseidon, although he held Khione's children status. Dante stood out like a sore thumb with his plain, black, long sleeve t-shirt and jeans with sneakers in the 90 degree weather. It was pretty hard to actually contemplate around the Courtyard since theres nothing but other demigods chattering and not ever shutting their mouths, but Dante tried and he began to think of something to do. Meeting people around camp was hard for him, although it was pretty easy to get someones attention in high school. He didn't feel like he was the top of class anymore. He actually felt like he was in the lower class of demigods around here. This killed him. Dante wasn't the track star anymore..he wasn't the homecoming king anymore..he wasn't the Athlete of the Year. He was just a regular demigod like everyone else. "Damn..." He muttered to himself, his thoughts getting to his emotions. He's begun to learn how to cope with not being the top dog. Drawing...playing basketball...even talking to his sister. Dante looked around warily before pulling out his small sketchbook from his jacket pocket. He didn't want to be seen sketching. Dante thought it was embarrassing that he could actually draw, even though it made him feel a lot better. Aimlessly, he began to sketch a scene from Inception where the room started to turn upside down. Inception was one of his favorite movies and he actually understood what was happening after seeing it only one time.
His eyes drifted up from his sketchbook to see if anyone was watching him. Coast is clear... He looked back down at his drawing and continued to sketch. Detailing the smallest things along and shading was his favorite part, even though it irritated him at times since he wanted it to be perfect. Drawing always kept him at peace and occupied when he wasn't doing sports. Although his sister, Quinn, has never really seen his drawings, he knew that she had known all along that he could draw. It was last year when she came up to him out of no where and told him "Y'know, Drawing brings out your softer side..." then left as if nothing had happened. This upset him and caused him to throw his sketchbook in the closet and leave it there for almost a year. Dante shook his head at the memory and began to become so involved with his sketch that he started to become less inconspicuous about drawing in front of everyone.
