Practicing...Competing...and Fighting.

Alford walked into a different section of the archery range after taking a rest. He grabbed a random bow and arrows, put away his Egyptian stuff on the nearest bench, and started to shot. Some arrows hit the target, but the rest...they either fell down, reached other targets, or endangered nearby campers. Alford sighed and sat on the bench. He was tired.

Lakisha was training with her cabin. The young woman was wearing an icy-blue pair of jeans with a white shirt, buttoned, and a blue tie loosely bound around her neck. She had put artistic make-up again, blue, green and black around her eyes.
She had turned Chrymos, her weapon, into a bow and a quiver with her special arrows was tied around her back. After one hour of hitting the bull's eye, or missing it by an inch, Lakisha told her cabin to stop. It was the end of the afternoon, it was hot, and they were exhausted. She authorized them to take a rest before dinner. Happy, they parted ways.
Lakisha kept shooting arrows for some minutes, then she went to take them out of the target, put them back into her quiver, and went to sit down on a bench. There were icy water bottles on a nearby table, and she took one. Opening it, she drank thirstily before putting it down again.
Being the daughter of Chione, she wasn't very resistant to warmth.
She noticed a young boy sitting next to her. Pushing her auburn hair into a ponytail, she smiled haughtily at him.

Alford smiled as the other girl--a stranger, since he never saw her before--grinned at him. According to his experiences, he should not frown or grumbled at strangers who smiled at him. Not all strangers are evil, Alford managed to say in his mind absentmindedly.

Bella walked in, slightly lost as usual. Brushing her now overgrown blonde hair impatiently out of her eyes, she looked around her to discover she'd wandered into the arena. Oh dear, this may not turn out too well. She thought sadly.

Alford saw another girl wandering to the arena. What's she up to? He asked in his mind. His curiousity won out, and he began to wave to the girl. He waved for a few seconds and he realized that he was waving to...a stranger! Uh-oh. He lowered his hands but as the girl saw him, he didn't have any choice but to smile.

The boy smiled back at Lakisha; she turned to drink another sip of the icy liquid.
A girl walked in, blonde, perhaps 15 years old.
She smiled at her too. She was a cabin-leader, she had to be an example.
"Hello," she told them both.

"Hi," Alford smiled again tiredly. He was dead tired and he wanted to sleep, but before he did that, he managed to say "Nice to meet you guys," and turned his head to a comfortable position, preparing to sleep.

Her frosty fingers should be a shock to his body temperature.

Ethan walked in and streched. He was a bit sleepy and just woke up from his nap. He smiled when he saw Lakisha. She looked very beautiful today. She always did. He sat at the bleachers and waited for her to notice, watching her as she started to train.

Lakisha caught movement out of the corner of her eyes. She turned her head slowly and spotted Ethan. She smiled like a queen would smile at her lover and casually waved.

Ethan stood up and bowed. "Good day, Daughter of Snow" He said smirking. It was always fun when she was like this. All high and mighty. He found it pretty cute when she did it.

Bella blinked, she'd been lost in thought but noticed a boy waving to her before apparently coming to and lowering his hand embarrasedly. Bella frowned slightly, a small crease appearing between her eyebrows as she ran through the jumble of thoughts in her head wondering if she knew the boy. She dint think so..Maybe he was just being friendly, she concldued, her features relaxing as she smiled back at him and nodded in acknowledgment She turned her head slightly to the right having heard a girl call out to her, looking around her saw a pretty girl with auburn hair engaged in deep conversation with another boy who seemed to have just walked in. Not wanting to interrupt them, she said nothing but registered how very well groomed and dressed up the girl was. By contrast her own black denim shorts plain purple tank top and complete lack of make up seemed extremely drab. Her recently cut, choppy blond hair was up in a ponytail but her razor sharp haircut ensured that hair framed her face on either side in sharp definitive shapes.

Alford felt like he was getting electrocuted by the girl. He suddenly woke up as if someone had poured a bucket of ice water into his head. “That’s not funny,” he grumbled. “It’s not even a two hours sleep.” Alford sat down in his normal position and noticed another boy talking with the cold-handed girl. Alford tried to smile but a terrified thought came. Another stranger. Alford tried to act as calmly as possible, since he was a little bit paranoid with so many strangers, and walked with his bow and arrows, and started to shoot again.

Bella walked over to where the boy was shooting and stood behind him wearily, watching. Then suddenly, she stepped beside him and carefully corrected his stance. Then jumping back hastily, she mumbled, "Sorry", slightly shamefaced. She freed her hair and ran a hand through it, letting her fringes fall back on her face before tying it up again in a high ponytail. Her bright green eyes were averted as she stared at a spot above the boy's head, embarrased at her actions.

Alford was startled and extremely surprised as the other girl--a stranger! oh, he HAD to stop saying that in his mind--helped him. He was so stunned until he could not speak or do anything for few seconds. He then regain his self-control back and smiled weakly to the girl. "T-thank you," he said nervously.

Bella was emboldened by his grin, so he wasnt offended! That was a good start. She grinned back, "I wonder if you could help me with something..?", she began.

Lakisha saw the two's action, and smiled to herself. Patting Ethan's shoulder, she turned to the two teenagers.
"You're shooting well," she told the boy, "but try to keep your bow a bit higher..."
She then noticed the sunny warmth the girl seemed to exhale, like she was constantly bathed in sunlight. Apollo kid, she immediately thought.
"Oh, but for shooting, I think your friend here can teach you better than me."

Ethan smiled and kissed Lakisha's cheek. Looking over her noticed a blonde girl. From her looks and the way she was sun bathing he was assuming she was a 14 year old, most likely an Apollo kid. He then looked at the boy who was trying to shoot his bow and arrow. His form was a bit lazy but still pretty well done. He looked at lakisha and smiled. "You are so good with weapons my lady" He said taking her hand and kissing it softly.

This boy really knew how to surprise her, Lakisha thought with some delight.
She appreciated the kiss, making a cold shiver run down him for a rapid second, then they let go of each other.
Lakisha put her hands in her pockets and looked up to Ethan. Why had he to be taller than her, even when she was wearing high heels?

Bella cocked an eyebrow watching bemused as the brunette and her boyfriend had a passionate exchange. One corner of her mouth pulling up, she responded to the girl's earlier statement, "Well I do have an instinctive pull towards archery, but I also enjoy swordplay." She wondered who the girl's god parent was she had a chill emanating from her, Bella shifted away from her almost impercievably, she hated the cold. She supposed her parent was either Khione or Phobos, she tended to feel chilly around them too. As for her boyfriend, there was no doubt there, he was undoubtedly Thanatos offspring, his dark aura made that clear.

Ethan pulled back smiling at his Lover. "You never answered my question back at the cabin.." He whispered lightly. He looked over at the other girl with his emotionless, blue eyes. Lakisha was right, she was an Apollo, she had this shining feeling about her and she had this stance with her bow.

“Thanks,” Alford nodded nervously at the cold girl who also helped him to shoot. He had shot some arrows right to the spot, and he felt pretty happy. But listening to the girl’s comment, he turned his head to face another girl—he recalled that she was the daughter of Apollo—and saw her shooting so many arrows, and all of them stick to the very center of the target. He turned back to the cold girl-- did the boy just said the word ‘Lakisha’ earlier?—and commented back, “and yeah, you got some nice point there.” He then turned to the Apollo girl and realized that she was asking. “Uh, yes? How can I help you?” He said, patting his bow shyly.
