by Perca 10/26/2013, 7:42 amOh Gods,how much I hated being alone!It was a terrible feeling,loneliness.But it was all I had left,so I had to live with it.Even though right now,living didn't sound like a great idea.I sighed and curled to myself on my tree branch,turning my eyes to the endless blue of the sky so to avoid looking at all the happy faces around camp

I was walking around camp, just thinking about life. Joking! I don't do thoughts. Well, thoughts about life that is. Anyways, I was walking around when I saw a girl curled up a tree branch. I blocked my eyes from the sun with my hand then asked the girl. "You alright?" The other campers either didn't hear me or ignored me. The girl didn't answer or showed any signs of hearing me, so I asked her louder this time. "You alright there? Want company?"

I jumped up at the sound of a voice adressing me which led to me falling from the tree.I groaned as I hit the ground but slowly stood up,nothing broken.I smiled shyly at the girl and blushed."H-hey.S-sorry I-I didn't hear you b-before"I stammered and let some hair fall in front of my face,effectively hiding behind them.Someone was actually talking to me!

I looked up timidely and waved back."I-it's fine.I-I'm Helen,daughter of Hec-cate"I introduced myself and stuck my hands in my pockets to stop them from giving away my nervousness by shaking.Would she really want to talk to me or would she leave too?Probably the second choice,no one stayied

"Wanna go for a walk?" I asked. The girl - Helen was obviously nervous and trying to hide it. She looks so sad... To sad.I thought. "C'mon," I said "Let's go to the beach, or lake, or big house or... Wherever you want!" I stuck my hands in my pocket then frowned, there was something in there. I took my hands out and saw two pieces of bubblegum. I shrugged and ate one, offering the other to her. "Want one?"

I smiled "Of course you can." I put the piece of bubblegum in the palm of her hand. "Here take it... You still didn't say where you want to go. As much I want to read minds, I still can't" I grinned as I offered her my arm. "Where to?"

I giggled at her comment and put the piece of gym in my mouth.It's been so long since I've eaten one!I thought about her question and bit my bottom lip nervously."T-the beach?I-I'd really like to g-go there"I said slowly,unsure about what would happen

I replied. "Then let's go to the beach." We started walking, me leading the way. "So Helen, what do you usually do at the beach. I've never been there only like, once, and I just looked at it from afar."

I looked behind at Helen, she was walking a few steps behind me with her eyes on the ground. I slowed down my pace so I could walk with her. "How old are you?" I asked.

"14...15...I-I don't know"I admitted and flushed in embarassment.Only freaks don't remember their own age!That's it,now she'll leave.At least,this one lasted more than the others

I grinned at her. "You forgot?" I asked her. I stopped to look at her and guess her age. "Well," I shrugged. "I think you're 15. What's your favorite color? Favorite food? Ohhh, wait I know!" I leaned in close. "Do you have a boyfriend?"

I blushed a deeper red and started once again chewing on my bottom lip."Red.Pasta.N-no"I answered,my voice lowering each time,being barely a whisper in the end.Why was she interrogating me?What had I done?

"Stop biting your bottom lip. You're hurting yourself." I said as we resumed walking. "Now you ask me, I wanna get to know each other." Some of my hair got in my face, so I took a rubber band from my wrist and closed it in a high ponytail. Maybe I should add multi color pastel highlights... I thought as I looked at a strand of hair. Nope, wouldn't go with my permanent highlights.

I nodded enthusiastically. I felt like it was my job to help her get more confident and stop stuttering. "Yup! Ask me anything. Don't be shy." Maybe after she becomes confident talking to me I could get her to talk to Mr.D. I smiled. Mr.D is so much fun to annoy.

"15." I replied the added. "My favourite color is lilac, my favourite food is cheese burger and no I don't have a boyfriend." I smiled softly and sighed. The sigh sounded like I was I love. I quickly tried to change the subject before Helen could say something. "Anyways, what's your star sign? I always found star signs and horoscopes and all that stuff intresting."

I grinned. Horoscopes and star signs were ma thang! "It's kinda like," I said trying to explain, gesturing wildly with my arms. "A prediction to someone's future based on the place of the planets and stars. Do you understand?" I asked. "Okay, tell me when you were born, the month and the date."
