One of two new underworld kids Beautiful-boy-cool-fashion-hot-Favim.com-332419

    Name: Nathan Maxwell
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
    Eyes: Hazel Eyes
    Hair: Brown hair
    Height: 5'7
Body Type: Spry young man, well versed in parkour styles of moving around, strong from fighting and being outside, though he isn't too muscular...just..healthy fitness
    Skin Color: White

    God Parent: Melinoe
    Mortal Parent: Micheal Maxwell
    Country of Origin: Italy

Pets: A black cat named Specter

Talents: Messing with People, Archery, and swordplay, speaks fluent English as a second language, his native language is Latin/Italian

Weapon/Armor**: Nathan before he got to camp was very into the Elder Scrolls series and loved the Nightingale Armor and Weapons that was obtained through Thieves guild mission. Because of is advocation for this specific armor and weapons designed the same way, he planned his own making of the armor and weapons and with the help of Hephaestus kids made his own Nightingale armor, bow, and two stygian iron nightingale swords, his arrows for his bow are a mix of cb and stygian iron tipped arrows

    Bow:

    Swords:

    Armor:

Personality: Cocky, confident, and quite annoying. Nathan is one that enjoys causing trouble just for a reaction and doesn't have a problem fighting people if they think they can win. Now this may make him sound dumb, but he isn't. Nathan is actually intelligent and knows when to actually take up a fight.  More often than not, he doesn't even bother with a fight because it's too much trouble to actually take up the challenge. But he again, doesn't mind a fight when he has to. On top of this, having a mother whom is the goddess of ghosts, he's fearless because he doesn't see a reason to be afraid of the world when he knows exactly what he is getting out of death.

Fatal Flaw: Some would say there Cockyness is there fatal flaw, but that's just part of his charm, no, Austin's fatal flaw is his lack of fear. Because he has no fear he just doesn't know when to truly step down and give up.
Flaws: His annoying tendencies, his cocky attitude, and his lack of care towards people can all be counted as things that are "wrong" with Austin, but to him he's quite the excellent person.

Powers(must relate to god parent; optional): Like most Melinoe children, Nathan is capable of communicating with ghosts. This communication drains very little out of him (blury eyes, slight nausea) because it as passive as his ability to see them in the first place. Nathan's other power is that of shadow teleportation. Why did I not call it shadow travel? Well, shadow travel generally means going farther distances correct? Well Nathan's shadow teleportation is much shorter distances, at most about 5 yards between where he was and where he is going. Since this transport is so short his tiredness is an accumulation factor. As he racks up more and more yards his side effects become worse. His max out of total accumulated yards he can do is about 100 yards, by about 25 yards he has a brain splitting headache(and you can guess from their that the 25 markers leading up to the full 100 are where it is easiest to see his after effects). Now, don't think that because he can't go far doesn't mean it's shows him being weak, he uses this to his advantage by making a quick way around a battle. And if Nathan truely undoubtedly needs to(and he is willing to go a day in advances to make up for the passing out for 24 hours that happens)he can teleport the full 100 yards

Life Before CHB*: Nathan's life is somewhat....simple..but difficult at the same time. Nathan's father Michael was born in Italy and grew up there, having a young wife and a daughter named Sarah. The thing is, when Sarah was 3 years old, her mother got into a terrible accident that she was unable to survive. At the funeral, Michael met a woman that called herself Charlotte. Charlotte didn't state much, just that she was there to watch the passing and then be on her way, however Michael and Charlotte kept in touch after that day, something about the mysterious woman intriguing the Italian widower. After some time, the two became a couple and dated for sometime before Charlotte found herself pregnant.

Charlotte became somewhat bipolar after this, trying to stay with Michael often but at the same time growing ever distant. Soon Michael confronted her sometime 6 months into the pregnancy and with a heavy heart Charlotte revealed herself to be the Greek goddess of ghost, Melinoe. Sarah was 4 at the time and prone to eavesdropping so she heard the conversation about how Charlotte had to leave after her half brother was born. Sarah couldn't help but run down, begging Melinoe to stay and be with them, but Melinoe said that she had no choice, she said that she did it to protect them from horrid things that could happen if someone like her stayed around.

Sarah didn't like what she heard but she had grown attached to the goddess as a fill in mother for the one that she had lost so early in life. She ran to her room and cried the night away, falling asleep in tears. Michael was stronger with the news but he hurt as much as his daughter did, losing two women in his life so soon between each other. It was hard for him to be strong. Melinoe comforted him as he accepted the news and like the blink of an eye Melinoe had given birth to their son, Nathan. And then like a breathe in the wind, she was gone, as if she had never been there at all.

After this, Michael felt it best if he moved to Venice. His parents and much of his side of either of his children's families lived there and it would be better to raise them in a place where he knew they had someone looking after them, making them feel protected since he felt like he failed at keeping them together.

During the early years up till Nathan was 6, he spent his days at his grandparents house while his father went to work and his sister went to school. Then she would come home and finish her work then they would play games together either in or outside depending on the weather. Then Nathan joined the travel to school feature, though he found it harder for him to learn. Given his ADHD and Dyslexia, he couldn't stay calm and had trouble reading and writing, so he had to work twice as hard to do half the work other kids in his age group were doing. This made him feel like he was...different..and not in the good way either. He felt like he was gaining strange watchers that waited to ridicule him with his problems.

Because of this feeling Nathan got into trouble, picking fights with other kids that he thought were out to make him feel bad. After too many warnings with these fights, Nathan was pulled out of school by Michael and for the time he was home schooled by his father and his aunt who were more patient and kept him free of public eyes. This however started to show it's faults as he and Sarah both got older. by the time he was 9, he had become more cocky and rambunctious, causing trouble and messing with his 13 year old sister. When he and Sarah went out together, going through the town, he would wander off, climbing up buildings and swimming across the canals in the only clothes that he had to wear at the time which were what he wore when he jumped in.

On top of this, he felt no fear in doing any of this, no regrets or fear of harm, or persecution. It was like something in his head was telling him to go ahead that there was nothing to be afraid of, that no matter what he would always be alright. He couldn't explain it, but he knew the voice in his head was right and he figured it was his own voice. Regardless he grew up to 14 and got in even more trouble than when he was 9. He had grown to sneaking out and making most of the night time in Venice. And with that came the well acquaintance visits with Michael from the cops. By the time Nathan was 14 he couldn't begin to count the numerous times the cops brought him home, in fact it was because of this that his father got him an Xbox 360, some games, including his favored Skyrim game, and his black cat that Nathan named Specter. Michael and the cops and Nathan's grandparents felt that giving him games to play and a pet to take care of would occupy Nathan's time, however it didn't do much, Nathan took care of the cat and he played the mess out of Skyrim, but it didn't keep him out of trouble near enough.

It was because of this, and the fact that Sarah and Nathan were attacked by a hellhound that they narrowly escaped because the best lost it's gripping to the concrete ground due to a large spilling in one of the local outdoor markets that had the beast tumbling into the waters of the canals in Venice, that Michael and his grandparents concluded that they would go to America. Nathan, Sarah being 18 decided to stay in Italy, already knew how to speak English so it wouldn't be hard at all for the 14 year old to adjust. Packing his games and some clothes, as well as his pet cat, he and his father went to Manhatten,  New York. It was on the way to Manhatten that Nathan turned 15 and his father explained his parentage to him, and he also explained that before she left she had told his father about the apartments in Manhatten that always had room and were close as possible to Camp Half-Blood where Michael told Nathan that he was going. Michael explained to him that Camp had others just like him there, special people that did amazing things, he explained that Nathan may not be allowed to keep his games and made no promises, but he did say that Specter was free to keep with him there, and he also explained that Nathan would never be alone because his mother had other children.

To all of this explaining came the question of why Sarah didn't come if she was like him as well...with a heavy heart, Michael told Nathan about how Sarah wasn't like Nathan and that she was just normal...he also explained to Nathan why Sarah's mother never came around. Nathan felt bad for his older sister after that but he could always feel that her mother was safe and sound in the Underworld, not suffering anymore. At least that's what he felt and he just had to believe that he was right.

After finally arriving, Michael applied for citizenship for him and Nathan and also gave his son a good year to adjust to life in America before they went to camp, though Michael met a satyr...or at least he hoped he had hoped he met one, but felt relieved when the half-man, half-goat came to their home and immediately revealed himself for what he was, soon after they got there because the satyr sniffed out Nathan's godly blood and the satyr stayed with them at the apartment for the year to help prepare Nathan for life at camp. Nathan didn't appear surprised by the appearance, after he played Skyrim and other games from that type of genre so he was pretty ready to accept anything that he was going to see at the camp.

Finally, Nathan had turned 16 and the longer year had passed, Michael and Nathan had become US Citizens and the satyr led them to camp. As a final farewell, Michael left Nathan with a hug, some tears and a final gift that Melione had given Michael to keep clean, and safe long before Nathan was born. Two small cases of Stygian Iron. Michael told Nathan that they could be used to make weapons and immediately his son smiled at the thought of what he could do with the cases of metal, Michael also had told Nathan that his mother left it for him before he was born because it was extremely hard to come by except in a place that she hoped Nathan would not have to visit before his time.

With a final hug goodbye, Michael climbed in his car and drove away and Nathan found his home at camp. He's been there now for a year, and what a year he's made of it.

RP Example*: Nathan wandered about the forest, his bow on his back and each of his swords resting in their respective scabbards, one at his hip easily accessed by his right hand and then other on his back making and X formation with his bow and quiver of arrows, quick and simple to pull out with his left hand. He chose not to wear his armor today, finding it a pain to put that on all the time and also finding it more of a night time thing anyway. After the armor had night in the same.

Nathan thought about the very lame pun that popped in his head as he found himself come across a small group of feuding Demigods. Normally he would just ignore them and move on...normally. But this was a special case. From what he could it was the typical guys always hitting on the typical girls and the girls just laughing it off. However what was different was that one of the guys had thrown an unexpected punch and one the girls fell to the ground in pain, the rest of the group on boys thinking the same thing.

This wasn't something that Nathan could pass by without doing something. So with a sigh he walked over to them. "Look a what we got here, a group of complete pieces of sh!t thinking they some big bad somebodies." He called out, his already in his hand if he needed to bury an arrow in someone's arm or leg to keep the from moving for a minute or two.

"Stay out of this underworld pest." The obvious leader stated proudly as he bowed up his chest. It was obvious that he was some deity of strength/battle, but it definately wasn't Ares or Athena, last he checked children of those guys didn't just hit girls when they weren't in the mood for dealing with d!cks.

"Big talk for a little b!tch...who's your almighty parent Goldilocks?" He told the blonde leader

"Ares..." he said and then all of a sudden fell down from a punch at the side of himself.

"You give your cabin and your father a bad name you piece of sh!t. Ladies perhaps you'll want to close your eyes or move away, this may get messy" Nathan stated as a final thing before drawing his swords, his bow being leaning against a tree.

The next thing that happened was of course a fight. But it wasn't like the guys had probably expected. 5 on 1, seems pretty one sided right? Not with Nathan. To start off the little bout he summoned two skeleton soldiers that caused a small distraction but were quickly dealt with. They were a distraction to give Nathan some room. After the bones were dust, Nathan found himself fending off three of them that were working to completely overpower him with brute force only. Good strategy yes, and it was working well because Nathan had obtained a few cuts and bruises from missed blocks. But then Nathan vanished again and the three looked confused. All of a sudden one of the three went to the ground, a kick to the back of the head sending him face first into the dirt. The other two recovered from their confusion too late because Nathan had knocked the other back with a punch and hit the sword out of the other's hand. After this the other one and Goldilocks joined the fray and it might have been a simple beating at that point.

Then another transport out of harm left Nathan right outside the circle siting up in a tree branch looking down at them. "Ah you people are so fun to mess with." He said down to them and they each turned their heads to him.

"Get back down her you pest.." one of the others growled and Nathan shrugged.

"Why worry with me? I'm clearly to fast for your dumb selves" He said to them

"Tell you what, dumba$ses. You leave now and I might let you live...I've still got range on you and good reason too...because I'm smarter than you. Now carry on your merry way or I'll maim you." Nathan said...he was very crude about his bluff....he knew full well that he was exhausted and his bow was away from him, sure he could transport to the thing, but he wasn't quite sure how much more he could trasnport today and didn't want to run the risk of getting caught again. Thankfully they took to his bluff and then turned and walked off, losing interest in the fight.

Nathan sighed silently and heard a rustling sound, turning to see one of the girls in the group that the boys attack, hiding behind a tree watching what happened. Nathan had already sheathed his swords and was picking up his bow when he turned to see.

"Thought y'all all ran off." He said to her as he slipped his bow on his back.

"I stayed behind and watched..." the girl said. "Thanks for sticking up for us"

"Wasn't much of a fight, total pushovers all of them" He told her

"You remind me of my friend Joel...nordic demigod" The girl said

"Names Nathan..son of Melione" He told her.

    "Sabrina..daughter of Zephyrus" She said.

Nathan smirked and waved good bye. "Nice to meet you." He told her and then vanished and then walked out of the forest.

I would have been okay with 15, depending on how long the ghosts last if not attacked?

Well the ghosts are just meant to be fought or be a minor short distraction. If he summons them and they aren't fighting something then there is no point to summoning them in the first place, so I guess they would last about 3 minutes and then crumble away

Yeah, 15 would be okay; you might need to tone down how many he can summon at once though.

I thought you were making a typo when writing 'Melione'; the goddess's name is Melinoe.

How did the father 'summon' a satyr? I didn't know satyrs could be summoned.

[And you forgot the body type ;D]

If he tries, could he summon all the ghosts (both the corrupted and noncorrupted) in one day? If he summons a small group of his non-corrupted ghosts (ie: 3 at once), how long would he have to wait before he could summon the rest of his ghost limit? You should also edit in the amount of time the ghosts last.

No, because of how nauseated he gets from summoning 1 corrupted(as I stated in the fight in the rp example) he is unable to summon all at once.

As far as the regulars, would about 3 hours be an okay limit between summoning, so thus he has to wait an hour for each summon unless he summons them in groups, then he has to wait the hour amount equal tot he amount of regulars he summoned.

And the ghosts don't really have a "time limit" per say to how long they last. It's more of a, "Hey here's some summoned warrior" *two or three hits later* "Hey here is a pile of bone dust from dead warriors" They aren't meant to be something that lasts a whole fight, they are a minor, two or three hit breathing space that Nathan puts between him and his opponents.

The communication is gonna have to drain -something- out of him. Also I dont like the ghosts being able to wield a sword, seems like they'd just slip through solid objects.

The corrupted souls thing is still overpowered. 3 fighters that can wield and levitate weapons and are "hard to kill" and he's still able to stand and fight? Thats pretty unlikely for a child of a minor goddess. At the very least, it should make him collapse and be unable to do anything for a while. How would these "souls" have a normal human consistency? That doesnt make them very ghost-like.
You haven't specified how many times he can summon them and how long they stay for.
