Meeting new People

Oli walks out of his cabin, just waking up. That would be normal if it was a reasonable time of day, but it was around 3 in the afternoon. "Good job Oli..." He yawns as he walks out of his cabin. He was up late last night doing what a normal Athena kid does if they aren't asleep, and that was read. The summer sun blasted him with bright light, and he cursed to himself in Ancient Greek as he walked. Without a second thought, he found a bench near the Athena cabin, and sat down. It had actually been a couple of days since he'd been out of the cabin without a normal reason like eating, among other things. He kept to himself, and he promised himself that he would never go to the forest again, not after he got himself lost for 7 hours. That day was the worst. He almost gave up on life and decided to become a bearded hermit and live there for a while. As he thought back to that day, Oliver looses himself in thought, leaning back on the bench. Before he knew it, Oli falls asleep, his head leaning back on the bench, and he snores.

Kiki walked out into the courtyard her long blonde curls flowing behind her. She was wearing a white dress that went up to her knees. Kiki at down her blanket and took out her book. She started to read her blue eyes focusing on each word on the page.

Waking up at the sudden jolt of summer air, Oliver wakes up. Looking around, something was off. Analyzing his surroundings, there was a person who wasn't there a minute ago. She was reading a book. Oli's Athenian instincts kicked in. Fascinated by this book, he walks over to this girl. "Hello, if you don't mind me asking, what are you reading?" He asks her.

Kiki looked up at the boy who approached her. "Oh hi." She flashed a beautiful pearly white smiled and set down her book. "Oh... I'm reading the great gatsby." Kiki looked at the back of the book. "It's really good."

"Wonderful piece of literature." He says. Being a kid of Athena, he studies, reads, and learns everyday. He'd read that book and remembered almost every word in it when he was 3. Analyzing this girl, he determined she was an Aphrodite kid. "Blonde, beautiful, and nice smile. Little to no makeup, which means you don't need much of it....Aphrodite." he says coldly. Oli was cold, and sensible. He didn't have time for trivial things like over expression of emotions.

Kiki shivered. "Geez what's with the lak of being happy?" She raised an eyebrow. She was use to being judged, every day was a constant battle being an Aphrodite kid. Overall she was use to the cold.

Oliver was taken aback. "Sorry for that. I'm not hard wired for pointless things like feelings. Kind of ironic, considering you're a daughter of love and feelings, and I'm a son of cold knowledge." He explains. He was always cold to people. It didn't matter who. He's been that way since he was little, and it probably wasn't gonna change ever.

"Well somebody needs to teach you how to not be so cold." Kiki smiled softly. "I can help if you want."

"Oh that's highly illogical. Chances of that working are a million to one." He tells this girl. Aphrodite kids were all about feelings, and he was the complete opposite. It just wouldnt work out. For the both of them.

Kiki shrugged. "Your loss. You can have all the knowledge of the universe but, what fun is it if you have nobody to share it with."

Oliver shrugged. "I suppose you're right, but the chances of your teachings working are almost 1 to 0...." He mutters.

Kiki shrugged. "Nevermind then." She stood up.
