Edit:

I purposely switch from pilum to dory since dory was the historical weapon used by Hoplomachii style gladiators in Rome, which as you pointed out is a style based off Greek battle tactics.

Also, I changed his personality, if you want to check it out!

• I doubt legionnaires go to battle with ggladiator weapons. You can keep the dory but add a pilum in somewhere.
