Today was one of those days when Mr. D. screws with the weather in camp and winds up making it one of the hottest days at Camp Half-Blood. Campers strode around in tank tops and shorts, trying to beat the heat.
Unlike the rest of the campers, Hayden Jennings was enjoying the sudden heat wave. The son of Zelos sat on a wooden bench with his eyes closed. He could hear other conversations around him. Some were about prom, others about sparring. Hayden opened his eyes, looking at all the cliques around him. He was friends with most of the Apollo kids, unfortunately for Hayden they were at archery for another half hour, leaving him alone.
But it's not like he wasn't fine with being alone. It was peaceful, despite the Aphrodite girls pointing and saying things about the boy. He learned how to tune them out, he did have a desperate twin sister he spends a whole lot of time with in the other god cabin since they were bunkmates.
Hayden blocked out his thoughts. He was trying to relax, to stay calm. Hayden ran his fingers through his hair, laying back on the bench.
