    Prom. The CHB Version. Slow-dance-sexy

Jeremy sat in a corner of the room, waiting for a certain someone. Well, a certain two people. Sadly, Maddy was coming with Raven. This, in particular, was very disappointing. He'd been waiting for his chance with Maddy for months now. This was prom. The epitome of young love. This was his night, his chance. He'd get a dance with Maddy, and all his hard work will have paid off. Easy, right? No. Not at all.

Maddy and Raven had prepared together -- nothing like dressing up with a friend before a dance to get that impatient party feeling, in her opinion. Raven and her had laughed forever in the Dionysus cabin, making jokes, being hyperactive and dancing together in bikinis to the pop music that always played in the room. It was one of the reasons Maddy loved Raven so much: she was so fun, so hyper, all the time, wild and reckless, talking nonstop: absolutely crazy, just what Maddy adored. Plus, she was never serious, which was a huge aspect of Maddy's and her friendship. None of them took anything too seriously.
And her hair color was awesome. She just loved the purple die, and not just because Dionysus's color was purple.

Maddy was going as Megara, from the Hercules movie. She had bought her outfit in New York; it was an amethyst-colored dress, ankle-long, with golden pins to hold the sleeves on her shoulders, accenting the rather small cleavage (she had a rather small chest; not flat, but still small, so having a huge cleavage wouldn't be a good idea). A deep violet strap of cloth was attached right under her chest, another one wrapped around her waist and held there too by a golden brooch.
The dress was very long, but there was a cut on one side which revealed her left leg every time she stepped forward, to make the dancing more easy and comfortable. Long dresses could be a pain when you were on the dance floor.
Her brown curls were attached in a high ponytail, the wavy streaks flowing down to her shoulder blades smoothly, held by a violet cuff. She had Sergio Rossi high heels, violet in color and discretely spangled with gold, eleven centimeters high, with violet ribbons she had wrapped up her calves, like an antique sandal. To finish it, she had sprayed a bit of Yves-Saint-Laurent's Manifesto perfume on her neck and wrists; she just loved the fragrance of it.

Once they were ready, the two of them had lazily sat around on Maddy's bunk for thirty minutes, or more -- because coming too early at a party was bogus --  then they had finally set off. The path to the Mess Hall was lined with flowers of various sorts: orchids, tulips, English roses, camelias, irises... Dayum, the Demeter kids really knew how to arrange the plants, Maddy thought.

Loud party music came to their ears as they reached the dance floor, lasers beaming up into the star-filled sky; it had been changed into a real Disney place: garlands of flowers around the columns, a miniature Rapunzel tower, a Sleeping Beauty bed, a buffet, hovering stroboscopes, tables arranged at the far side of the ball floor.... It was at one of those tables that Maddy spotted Jeremy.
Jeremy, her best friend. Raven's half brother. Cabin leader of the Minor Water Gods cabin. And yeah, her crush. Bogus, huh? Well, as long as he didn't know it, it was fine. Though she was determined to make it work between them.

"Jeremy!" she called, raising an arm. A stroboscope floated over her head, casting squares of light on her face; it drew attention on her violet make-up: the liquid, discrete golden eye-liner, the amethyst eye-shadow, the light touch of blush and the hint of spangled gloss. In daylight, the make-up would have been definitely too much, but at night, under the lights of the party, it was perfectly acceptable.
She stalked over to him on her high heels, walking past two Aurora's who were giggling with a Pocahontas and a Kristoff, before arriving at the table, dragging Raven behind her.

Two girls entered the dance floor, loud music deafening their ears. Raven automatically recognized the song as Timber by Pitbull ft. Ke$ha (a great song to start a party). The Brit's kaleidoscope eyes scanned the dance floor. Colorful lights, demigods partying in unique costumes (though one girl had wings gauzed to her back but no green dress. Lame!).
The girl next to her was her best friend, practically her sister, Maddy Scott, daughter of Dionysus and her fellow party animal. Gotta love Maddy; wild, outgoing, not to mention, hilarious. Raven wouldn't know what she would do without the girl.

Maddy had gone as Megara. A good costume but not something she would've gone as. Its the Mad Hatter that was the perfect costume, at least in Raven's eyes.
So there she was, dressed up as a female version of the Mad Hatter. Her black and purple hair now had another color; a light turquoise blue. The strands made the tips of her hair even more colorful. Her eye shadow reached around her eye, a light shade of sky blue. Her lips were glossy, she had used a rose pink gloss. It had taken forever for Maddy to apply the mascara to her eyes, Raven couldn't keep still. But it luckily came out okay, the colorful lights making it pop out. Her hair was curled up, making it end at her shoulders instead of her elbows.
Her costume consisted of a burgundy blazer with light pink trim, that sleeves ended at the elbow, a yellow scarf that wrapped around her neck and was covered in blue crown designs, a light blue vest with a white tank underneath, a plaid school girls skirt with pink ruffles at the trim, plaid gloves with no fingers, and a burgundy headband that had a miniature version of the Mad Hatter's hat on it. She looked pretty good, if she should say so.

Now Raven was getting pulled across the dance floor by Maddy, towards Jeremy, her half-brother and cabin leader, standing by a nearby table, doing absolute nothing. The Brit chuckled, someones a little too excited.

"Maddy, if you keep dragging me, your gonna wear down my heels." Raven joked, gesturing down at her burgundy heels with buttons on the side. Not best for dancing but it completed the outfit. She was still going to dance though.

    (Sorry for the late post)

As Jeremy looked around at some of the partygoers, he noticed Raven and Maddy coming in along with some other people. Raven went as the girly version of the Mad Hatter, Maddy was Megara, and I was the manly Sergeant Calhoun. As if she isn't already manly enough.

Maddy dragged Raven over to him, and he began to speak. "Hey, guys." was all he could come up with.

"How goes it?" he asked them, walking over to the punch bowl to get some punch.

    OOC: whoops, sorry!

BIC:When Jeremy came into veiw, Raven took sight of his costume. A manly version of Sergeant Calhoon from Wreck It Ralph. Pretty cool, even though she's as manly as you can get. Raven smiled brightly at her half-brother, it was pretty cool how she and Maddy were going with him.

"Hey Jeremy!" She squealed, hugging him tightly. The lights above caused her to squint slightly but she didn't care as she managed to fill a plastic cup with punch, taking a sip. She could taste something else instead of fruity liquid, someone must of added some alcohol to it.

    "This party's pumping!"

"Hush, don't say it too loud," Maddy told Raven, discretely removing her hand, which she had innocently put over the punch bowl. Generating alcohol was one of her powers, and a bit of rum wouldn't hurt anyone.. right? She gave the two of them a mischievous wink and took her own cup in her hands, the hot liquid warming her fingers.

"Cheers!" she grinned and tasted the drink, closing her eyes to enjoy it. She could immediately make out the different types of juices, as if they had split on her tongue -- lemon, pineapple, orange, grenadine, lime. She even made out the cayenne pepper. "Shame they didn't put any curaçao... or Angustora bitters," Dionysus's daughter commented, taking another sip, smiling at her friends. Those alcohols were kind of tricky to generate, and Maddy didn't want to risk it. This wasn't the moment to exhaust herself with her powers, this was the moment to have fun.

BIC:Raven clinked her class with Maddy's before taking another sip. Hmmm...the taste of different fruits, she liked the orange most, filled her mouth, different from when she took her first sip. Maddy must've mixed it up.

"Yes, what a bloody shame." She agreed with her friend, giving a curt nod.
A Belle and a King Arthur scooted by, rushing to mingle with the kids on the dance floor. Practically everyone was dancing, a huge blob of kids in the middle. Team by Lorde came on, a song that loved to listen to. Her body started to sway as her shoulders started to move to the beat.

"C'mon, let's dance!" She squealed, tugging on Maddy and Jeremy's hand.

Maddy grinned and closed her eyes.

"Now the party doesn't start till I walk in," she quoted Ke$ha as she confidently stalked onto the dancefloor, activating one of her powers.

Once part of the dancing crowd, she winked at Raven and took Jeremy's shoulders, not bothering to ask if he wanted to dance with her or not, brushing against him, a flex of muscles gliding down her body like a flick through a rope. Her power was starting to work: people around her were sucked into the dance, pairing off and moving faster, wrapping their arms around each other. The DJ (Pollux or Kayla, she couldn't see) made the volume go higher and the bass deeper, the hovering stroboscopes seemingly pulsing with the game of lasers and artificial smoke. Around them, the crowd was jumping up and down to the beat, starting to go crazier... Just the way Maddy liked. Until now, it had seemed to her that most people bad been swaying to the music so nervously, so self-consciously that anyone who had actually been dancing looked like they had been trying too hard.
Now it had changed. People were drinking with more enthusiasm, she could see grins growing on faces as one of the mecha people did this light trick of switching the light beam on and off super fast to achieve a slow motion effect.

Maddy had joined the girl to the dance floor, pulling Jeremy by the shoulders with her. A wink was sent Raven's way as more people made their way to the blob of dancers. The party was growing crazier by the minute, more crazy dance moves being busted on the dance floor. Raven smiled widely as she started to dance crazy, her twirls big and her moves graceful. Now this was her kind of party.
Some guy dressed as Hiccup had grabbed her hand, twirling the girl around even more before disappearing into the crowd, causing the Brit to laugh. This just got interesting. Outve the corner of her eye, Raven spotted Maddy in the midst of things. The girl danced her way to her friend, the smile on her face never leaving.

"Let me guess, this was your doing." She said with a smirk.

Maddy grinned back at Raven as she shouted into her ear over the music. Both of them knew that Maddy could induce a party in crowds, maintain a laughter and celebration feeling in the atmosphere -- after all, it had saved them one or two times from monsters, when they had been outside of Camp (she never would've thought dracaenas could break dance).

The party feeling lasted long. Maddy knew she could keep it up for an hour in an ongoing party, but after thirty minutes, she started to feel it in her muscles. Others didn't, it was included in her power, but she knew she had to be careful.
She didn't want to stop though.... it was so thrilling to dance with Jeremy, exchange grins, move frantically to the beat, brushing against each other. She had finished her glass of punch ages ago and her throat was dry, though for once, she preferred to stay on the dancefloor rather than to go and fetch alcohol.
Wait what? she thought to herself, laughing. Who are you and what have you done with the real Maddy?

They danced for the whole hour, and Maddy started to feel a bit tired. She smirked at Jeremy and suddenly disappeared into the crowd, going to get a drink and flop down on a couch somewhere. Once at the buffet, she grabbed the three first best cocktails she found, and spotted a free couch in the Little Mermaid corner. Looking at Raven, she cocked her head towards it and they went to sit on the blue sofa shaped like an open seashell.
Well, when Raven and Maddy "sit" it's not the elegant, ladylike sit-down you're probably thinking of. It's more like, they fall back on the couch and take all the available space while tangling their ankles or arms together. The cocktails were on the little table in front of them, ablaze with the candle light.

"DJ's doing a good job," Maddy commented, taking a sip of her drink and wondering where Jeremy had run off. The party feeling had somehow dissipated and people were starting to stand around again, but hey, Maddy wouldn't teach them how to dance -- again.

A whole hour later, the party was starting to settle down, many of the people were starting to awkwardly stand there like before. That didn't stop Raven though, she was still dancing a storm with the people who were actually dancing. Jeremy was, gods who knows where he is, while Maddy had wandered off somewhere. Raven was dancing in between a Jasmine and a Pinocchio when she saw Maddy motion her over to the couch by the Little Mermaid section. When she joined Maddy on the couch, she didn't sit with her legs crossed like normal girls did; she sat upside on next to the girl, her legs leaning on the back of the couch. Luckily her dress didn't ride up it else everyone could see her knickers.

"Thanks, I was getting as dizzy as a drunk out there." The Brit joked, taking a sip of her cocktail. The alcohol statisfied her dry throat, the taste of cherry filling her mouth.

"You know, the DJ should play a slow song so you and Jeremy can dance to." She sent a teasing smile towards her friend, knowing very well that she had a crush on her half-brother.

Jeremy's shoulder were grabbed by Maddy, as they began to dance. She hadn't asked or anything, she kinda just... Got into it. People were slowly starting to go crazier and drink lots more. Maddy was using her power, and he knew it. That's why he couldn't resist dancing. But in reality? He loved it. But that's when Raven f*cked him over. "You know, the DJ should play a slow song so you and Jeremy can dance to."she said. "...Seriously? Well, ok." he replied, momentarily walking away from Maddy and headed to the DJ and telling him to put on a slow song. The song began to play, and he walked back over to Maddy, his hand extended out to her. "May I have this dance? Again?" he said, looking at Raven and mouthing, "F*ck you."

"Nope," Maddy replied, then grinned and took his hand, standing up, and shooting Raven a glance. When Jeremy had arrived behind them just in time to overhear Raven, Maddy had just kinda bugged. Like come on, somebody stick a Windows Fatal Error message to her face.
But this was an opportunity and she was determined to take it. She followed Jeremy onto the dance floor, kind of ignoring the couples and people letting their Tangled lanterns float up into the sky (some people had been giving them out earlier) and listened to the song, getting into tune, before putting her wrists on Jeremy's shoulders and stepping a bit closer. He smelled of waves and beaches, and a bit of rain, too. She had never been so close up to him, she realized as she put her head next to his, looking over his shoulder as they slowly danced to the music. Above them, the fireworks were starting to go off, which meant prom was going to be over soon.

F*ck you. That was what Jeremy mouthed to her after he asked Maddy to dance with him. Raven couldn't help the teasing smirk on her face, her cat like eyes squinting in delight. She was well aware that Jeremy had feelings for her best friend, so tonight was the perfect night to play matchmaker. It seemed to work, cause Maddy had agreed to dance.

Love you as well brother. she mouthed back at Jeremy before shutting her mouth when Maddy shot her glance. Oh, she was not going to hear the end of this. But they look so cute together, don't you agree? With Maddy's head resting on Jeremy's shoulder in a slow dance, Raven practically squealed. Now, let's just watch and see how his goes.
But a paper lantern similar to the one from Tangled was shoved into Raven's face by a girl wearing normal clothes and a princess hat (a Hephaestus child, no doubt). It was already lit since everyone was already releasing it up into the air.
Scurrying in between a Tiana and Prince Charming, she released her lantern up into the air just as they did, the applause deafening her ears. Her hands clapped together happily as she cheered with everyone.

Jeremy put his hands on Maddy's waist as she laid her head on his shoulder. He slowly rocked back in for, keeping a slow but steady pace. It was magical. To be completely honest, it felt like they were the only two people in the world. He was overflowed with joy and happiness, and he didn't know what to do. But it was inevitable. As the lanterns began to rise, Jeremy leaned in for a kiss.

Maddy was just swaying with the music, her curls brushing her back as her leg came out of the dress's side cut with every step. The discrete spangles on the mauve silk glittered a bit in the lantern light. Jeremy had his hands on her waist, and she straightened up to smirk at him. He smirked back, and just then, he leaned in. The next second, his lips were on hers, causing her heart beat to rise to her throat as she put her hands in his hair, letting her mouth glide softly against his, tracing the tip of his teeth with her tongue delicately. She had dated a number of guys, be it at school, Camp, or other holidays, but this was the warmest, bubbliest kiss she had experienced. Her throat was flushed, she could feel its heat pounding as she took Jeremy's lower lip between hers, smiling a bit as their noses accidentally bumped.

Okay, maaybe the two didn't need her help. Raven was busy enjoying herself (she was watching a shots competition between a Nike kid and an Ares kid. Long story short: the Nike kid won) when she noticed Maddy and Jeremy still slow dancing. It seemed to be going fine but when she blinked, BOOM!, they were kissing. Raven almost shouted if she didn't know any better.

Hmmm... Maybe they should get into a happy mood. With a mischievous grin, Raven made her way to the dj. Oh, this going to be cool!

"Put on Turn Down For What!" A good song choice that she was sure at least Maddy will dance to.
