    Blake O'Leary
    Blake O'Leary-Son of Freyr XT5D62Q
"To be, or not to be: that is the question"

    Name: Blake O'Leary

    Gender: Male

    Mortal Parent: Christy Danielle O'Leary

God Parent: Blake is the son of Freyr. He is the Norse God of the Sun, Rain, Harvests, Plenty, Peace, and Prosperity.

Date of Birth: May 17th, 1997

Place of Birth: Blake was born in Los Angeles California around the Hyperion Hotel. Eventually he and his mother moved to a more family friendly residential area.

Hometown/Last Residence: Los Angeles , California. Born and raised he's never lived anywhere else but don't let him fool you. He has a nact for accents and knows a variety of languages.

    Race/ethnicity: Caucasian/American

Accent: Blake doesn't exactly have an accent, it's obviously 'American' when he's speaking but can't be described as either southern or northern as in a way it is a mix of both. This is mainly due in part to the voice acting he has had as well as having to learn to speak other languages and with to speak them with believable accents. Not only that but to be able to speak with the accents of other regions of the world as well.

Skin Tone: Although not completely Albino, Blake is not much darker than your 'average ginger' when he isn't tanned. However from living in Las Angeles for so long he has picked up quite a few tricks and can tan very quickly.

Eye Color: Blue eyes. Sometimes wear's nonprescription contacts to change his eye color. His favorite is green and purple.

Hair Color: Blake has natural black hair.

Hair Length: This hair when down only reaches around the top of his eyes but it is usually spiked up to point towards the front.

Height: Blake stands in at the height of 5'4". It would be best for you however if you did not make mention to the man's height; especially regarding how short he is and/or short jokes a he doesn't take kindly to them.

    Weight: 120lbs

Body Type: At the height of five feet four inches Blake is relatively skinny with some muscle on his bones. He is around what is considered normal weight for someone of his height a well and is in relatively good shape. However compared to most of the people at this camp his eight years of karate don't exactly jelly place him in top physical percentile; even back home.

Appearance: Blake has black hair, which he likes to dye, that he spikes up so that is points towards the front of his head. His eyes are usually a piercing blue color but he likes to use nonprescription contacts to change them with his favorites are red, green, and purple. He has no strange or special looking scars or identifying markers that would help make it easier to pick him out of a crowd, other than his height of course. He does however like to ‘spice up’ his clothes and wears whatever he wants or finds stylish that day and he hardly ever wears the same thing more than three times.

Weapon: Blake duel wields two Celestial Bronze cutlasses. Unknown to him, these swords are the real deal and not in fact shiny stage props like he believes them to be. Be wary when around him during his first few days of camp.

Armor: As Blake believes this to be an acting camp he himself does not have armor. However when the day comes that he is to wear it into battle his armor of choice will more than likely be that of a light sort. It would probably consist of a light chest plate dense enough to protect his vitals but not heavy enough to slow him down, two wrist guards to protect his arms and a cup for well purposes that don't require explaining.

Pet(s): Blake has no pets, unless you count nature.

    Skills/Talents:
Talents: Blake is an excellent singer and natural singer, he also seems to have a green finger when it comes to anything plant related. He also seems to have a natural talent for learning a new language which with his sights set on an acting career comes in handy.

Skills: As one could probably summarize from reading this application Blake is very skilled in acting, singing, dancing and all things show. He has dedicated his seventeen years of life to fulfilling his dream of getting an acting career and because of this has picked up some valuable skills along the way. He knows not only the English language, but French, Spanish, Russian, and German though the classes taken to lean these languages he is also capable of speaking English in what would be determined the accents of the reigns those languages are spoken in. Lastly Blake took right years in Taekwondo and is currently a Red/Black belt.

    Flaws:
Temper, having a very short temper is something Blake has in high regard for being the son of a peace god. Although this temper is more centered to anything said against him rather, as the term "sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me" line seems not to apply to him. In fact it's the other way around, if called names, taunted, or made fun of in any way he tends to get angry. Quickly.

Prideful and happy about. Blake takes pride in everything he does, everything he is and once he’s openly said something or done something he won’t be turning back on it or taking shame in it ever again. The boy on his way to becoming a man doesn’t usually think anything he’s done is wrong and either way it’s probably so amazing anyway that it won’t truly matter what everyone else thinks…once it’s already out there in the open and he was the one to say it or do it.

A rather minor flaw but one nonetheless is that he doesn’t pick up on sarcasm too well, which you’d think being an actor and all it would be easy for him. But, we all have our crosses to pair and for the young man dreaming to become an actor picking up on sarcasm and actually understanding it are his, well one of them anyway.

Honesty. Now I know what you’re thinking but just hear me out on this one. Blake is honest to the end and some may say this is a good thing and although that maybe true, sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad. In a sense this is why honesty for him is a flaw as he tells it how he sees it. Not one to lie about most things if Blake sees something happen or thinks something he will usually tell what he saw or what’s on his mind. Never mind if it’s a ‘good’ thing or a ‘bad’ thing that he told whatever it was he was telling.

For such a ‘short tempered’ person who can be quite prideful when it comes to certain things Blake is not the best at expressing his feelings, let alone let others know about how he’s feeling. Unless it’s rage you aren’t getting anything out of the lad and you would be better off finding the holy grail than getting him to talk about his feelings unless he decides he wants to talk about them. Which of course is not likely to happen in your lifetime. Best to keep it all in rather than let the whole world know, but once whatever he was holding in gets out you can be dang sure it’s hopping right onto one of those things he’s proud about.

His height will forever be something Blake personally views as a flaw. To others there might be nothing wrong with being five feet four inches, but to Blake it is simply torture. To always have to look up at others when you’re talking to them, not being able to reach anything on the higher shelves, or even being a tad too short for some amusement park rides (okay so he just finally got out of that phase but still terrible). Practically every action he takes is revolved around the fact that he is short. Taking an interest in acting? To become bigger than he really is, to get respect and finally be able to have others look up to him even if only figuratively. Taking Taekwondo was so that he’d be able to defend himself from bullies bigger than he himself was and so on. He truly believes if he wasn’t so short he’d be able to accomplish so much more and it eats at him all the time.

Strengths: For all his faults Blake is an expert at making friends, just don’t mention his height. Due to having no stage fright from the acting classes to Blake making friends is simply nothing more than improv and once you’ve started the act all you have to do is follow it through to the end. From his training in Taekwondo as well as stage fighting he is also pretty well versed in sword fighting and if/when he ever learns those cutlasses aren’t fake he could be very deadly with them if need be. As for his theatrical side of things I doubt much needs to be said more than that he can act, sing, dance, and do it all with the best of them. Oh yea, and for some reason plants really seem to like him.

Weaknesses: It isn’t a well-known thing to Blake as he’s never had to do it before but he isn’t exactly the greatest with a bow and arrow. The people in the movies all make it look so easy and he’s sure if he ever was cast in a part involving a bow he could figure it out, but he’d rather not find out. Another thing that he’d like to keep secret is that he can’t exactly swim; sure he can hold his breath underwater in the three feet area just as long as the next guy or gal but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be venturing too far out in the water.

Likes: Music, out of everything that’s what Blake likes most it can be played for any type of mood and in his opinion fits in just about anywhere at any time. Food, what kind of male would he be if he didn’t like food, and lots of it. Not as much as the next guy probably but if you offered him free food he probably wouldn’t turn it down even if it did have some sort of catch attached to it…probably. Also he likes the theater and dreams of becoming a Broadway star when he’s older, and if that doesn’t happen there is always movies and TV shows galore.

Dislikes: Liars, cheaters, bullies. Pick on the helpless, or someone for any reason, lie to your family and friends, or cheat on your spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend or do any of these things and you and Blake are not going to get along well in any sense of the word. You might as well pack your bags turn around now and go on back to wherever you came from because he isn’t having any of your crap. Oh yea, he also doesn’t like broccoli…it’s a tiny little tree, trees aren’t supposed to be small it just isn’t right. Broccoli is evil.

Fears: Drowning, looked at briefly in his weakness Blake can’t swim and with that comes the rational fear of drowning in deep waters or with his luck water anyone who could swim could have survived in. Blake’s biggest fear however is that of not being accept by his peers or those he calls friends for who he is which is why he bottles most things up inside and why when he comes out with something he takes so much pride in it. If he doesn’t and people don’t accept him for who he is it would devastate him more than he probably lets on to even his closest of friends.

Personality: So much about Blake that can be said has already been said, but to summarize he is who he is. The boy close to becoming a young man is a good person who wants to make it in life as an actor. He excels at making friends and is usually pretty good at keeping them, as long as they don’t mind the over the top honesty and don’t make any short jokes or jokes that hit too close to home. In his life time he has also been known to have a capacity for extreme acts of selflessness and loyalty to people that he truly loved and cared for displaying strong senses of honor and devotion. This of course doesn’t come cheap and any thoughts about them can easily be broken if he is angered and what he is angered about is in his mind enough for those loyalties to mean nothing, or if you in his mind wound his pride.

    Powers:
Botanical Manipulation: Blake's primary ability is the genetic ability to manipulate most plant life, ranging from wood and mushrooms to petals ,flowers and even trees. He can animate them, force them to grow at supernatural rates, swell them in size (except for trees he can not make them any bigger than they already are; and concerning that he has no control over trees taller than 25 feet which is considered a small tree. For everything else he can't make them any bigger than he himself.) and even when under large amount of stress force the plants around him to interact with the world in ways deemed unnatural, but only once a day even at that. (For this section think poison ivy in terms of how she manipulates plant life to attack others; or even the whomping willow.)He can even create entirely new species of plants, such as a bright blue rose or some other exotic variant. However the constant use of this power drains the boy considerably and thus even when using cheap 'parlor' tricks to impress someone he does so sparingly less he passes out. For reference the power to grow the plants can only be done 10 times a day; however if he goes to manipulate them in some sort of fashion he then can only do it Five times.

Nature's Voice: As a son of Freyr he is psionically connected to all plant life around himself and as such is able to fell, sense, hear things etc. This ability also allows him to speak with plants.(RP Mechanic)

One with nature: Blake is seen as just another plant to most natural animals, meaning they tend to remain passive rather than attack him. This effect however, does not affect animals under the control of other people. (RP Mechanic).

Passive Aggressive: As the son of Freyr when in situations of violence or people are in state unease around each other, as long as he is there the room feels calmer. He is constantly 'emitting' this passive aura which can calm even the most aggressive of 'men' at least a little bit or enough to be reasoned with for a time. (Rp Mechanic. As it is always active it is up to those I am role playing with whether or not they wish to experience the effect, and if they do how much they chose to. If chosen to it only lasts for 3 of my posts.)

Social Status: Drama Queen/King. Blake O'Leary was the type of person who found solace when he was on stage. Whether it was dancing, acting, or even singing he always seemed not only to excel at it but loved it as well. His home life had a tad different view on the acting caster he was choosing but his mother promised if he kept his grades above a B he would be allowed to act as much as he wanted and so he did. So, an honor student the acting king became and with one year left in high school he couldn't wait to get out and go to a big performing arts school with Broadway as his final goal.

Summer or Year Rounder: To Blake this is all an acting camp he was sent to by his mom. Sure, he knows about his powers and what he can do but he's never told her about it and she has never told him about who his real father was. Even going so far as to hide his 'claiming' as something else, plus they aren't talking too much these days anyway. Thus a summer acting camp it is.

Years at Camp: This would be Blake's first year at camp even though he is four years above the age at which children are normally sent to the camp. The reasons behind this are not only because the moment he was claimed was hidden from him and thus he knows not his true heritage.

    Life Before Camp:
Born and raised in  Los Angeles California the middle child of a single mother wasn’t exactly the easiest thing for Blake growing up. He had to try and set the example for his younger brother while at the same time trying not to fall down the same path as his older brother. Placed in the ‘Scope’ program during elementary school despite having ADHD Blake slowly began feeling the pressure even more so from his mother to excel and find a way out of this life, and try he did. However like all things it slowly became harder and harder to keep up with until he found chorus in middle school.

It was during his sixth grade year that Blake finally found somewhere he felt as if he truly belonged. Found something he excelled at in fact and because of this he continued on this new path he found. Throughout the years he continued to sing, to dance, to act, and to live the theater life even when his mother remarried a man who thought the type of thing was girly and that Blake should instead focus his interests elsewhere. So, to keep the man happy he returned to his Taekwondo lessons but it was also around this time that he struck a deal with his mother. The deal that if he continued to do well in school and go to the Taekwondo classes she’d let him continue with his ‘drama’ classes.

The years quickly passed by, his thirteenth birthday came and went without any sign of change and his mother thought for a fact that she had been saved. That her two youngest would be nothing like her oldest child and for a while it seemed that way until of course Blake turned fifteen. It was on his fifteenth birthday that she saw the glowing sign above his head starting to form; Blake was walking into the kitchen when it happened and she had just swept there so it was the perfect excuse. Tripping her boy he fell off his feet and fell down hitting his head; the symbol stayed above but he saw none of it and woke up a bit later to presents thinking nothing about it.

She truly believed he was going to be alright until she caught sight of him using his powers in the backyard one day and knew it was too late. She wouldn’t be able to protect her boy anymore, and that it was time she sent him off to the camp this time; and this time she’d do it before he found out what he was. Except things didn’t exactly go as planned Blake and his mother had a huge fight two days before he was scheduled to depart in which because of her anger and his own which she gained from her it erupted from something so little as not packing a bathing suit into her practically disowning him and Blake goading her into doing it.

In the end Blake was a good boy, and went with her the entire drive to the airport and then got onto the plane and took off to the ‘acting camp’. The camp where he was to learn everything else he didn’t already know and his mom as much as she had wanted to explain what was truly going on didn’t get the chance too. He was still mad at her during the car ride over and thus they didn’t speak the entire time. So, now Blake is going head first into a strange acting camp in the middle of nowhere about to have his entire life flipped upside down. Probably even literally.

    Role-playing Example:
Blake let out a sigh as he stepped out of the cab that had taken him from the airport in New York all the way out here. Lifting his suitcases out of the cab as well he took a quick look at where he was headed before turning back around to try and explain to the driver that he didn’t exactly have the money the man was probably going to want for the drive over. Except when he had finally turned around imagine his surprise when said taxi cab was gone. Not driving off into the sunset with all his stuff gone, but disappeared gone. As in it was as if the taxi cab had never even been there in the first place which definitely spooked Blake out, cars are not supposed to do that.

Shaking his head he picked up his two suitcases, after making sure both of his cutlasses were on his belt where they were supposed to be. They were and so he started his climb up the hill in front of him and towards the strange out of the way acting camp. He couldn’t even remember why his mom had decided to send him there and why he had to make sure the swords were sheathed and on his hips at almost all times but after the way he had left things with his mom he owed her this much. He wasn’t admitting he was wrong, never in a thousand years would he had been wrong about whatever it was they had argued about but after a long plane ride you got a lot of things to think about.

Things that seemed so trivial and pointless now as he was going to the camp anyway and he was certain the camp was at least one of the topics ‘discussed’ during their little spat. Hefting the non-rolling suitcase up into a more comfortable position he continued walking dragging the rolling suitcase behind him in the grass. He didn’t understand the point of all this but what he did know, or more what he could feel, the grass was happy. The tree at the top of the hill over-looking the strange camp felt safe and when he placed his hand upon it even felt powerful. Letting out a laugh and he looked down into the camp “Am I really going to do this?” He asked himself aloud walking down into the unknown acting camp.

I think you mean Los Angeles. ;)

So his claiming was hidden from him? He believes he's at an acting camp? How does he interact with other demigods? I don't quite understand.

For his powers, every single plant is too OP. Maybe give a specific height of tree.

I have no idea what you mean

What would be more reasonable for the plants then? Also the biggest thing he can work with is a 25ft tree which is considered a small tree still.

As for the acting part thats for a rp experience. He has yet to meet another Demi-God in fact he doesn't even know they exist. More than likely he'll freak out for a while when he first arrives at camp but eventually he'll calm down and come to accept the idea; he just in his mind won't feel as special anymore knowing there are others out there with powers like he had.

I'm not sure about the animating of plants. I'll ask an admin.

    Sorry for the wait!

How many times per day can he use his powers? Can people resist to the "passive aggressive" thing? What kind of plants can he grow? What is the maximum of height of the plants? There must be specified limits.

It's no problem at all. As for the answers to your questions they reside here in the app.

For reference the power to grow the plants can only be done 10 times a day; however if he goes to manipulate them in some sort of fashion he then can only do it Five times.

As it is always active it is up to those I am role playing with whether or not they wish to experience the effect, and if they do how much they chose to

wood and mushrooms to petals, flowers and even trees.

except for trees he can not make them any bigger than they already are; and concerning that he has no control over trees taller than 25 feet which is considered a small tree

I do belive that answers what you've asked if not I'll edit so it fits what is required.

So for the aura thingy, it's up to the other person to decide whether or not they want it to work? (Just makin' sure.)

Also, you need to be a bit more specific on the plant manipulation thingy, because some mushrooms could be huge, as well as some petals (or leaves) and stuff. Maybe just use a household object as a base, such as, idk, nothing bigger than a refrigerator or whatnot.
