Coincidense or Fate?

It's been three days since I last saw that vile creature. Three days I spent locked in my cabin, curled under my blanket with my teddy bear. Three days of constant tears of betrayal. I was made to leave the cabin today, so I went to my second favorite place, the woods. That's why I was now seated on the roots of an old tree, an open book on my knees and my teddy bear in my arms. Well, it was actually a small owl, but I always refered to it as a stuffed animal. I sat peacefully, reading and hoping that another day would pass by without trouble

Alcer Rune was currently cursing both himself and his now-desceased older brother. He had made the mistake of pulling a cruel joke and now he was paying the price. He hated himself and searched almost everywhere in the camp, and now he was searching the forest of death. He was currently at the top of the trees in order to get an aerial view of the forest floor. He had left his crossbow in his cabin in order to move quickly. Alcer was having no luck at finding Christine. However, just as he was about to head back to camp, he saw a failiar head of red hair under a nearby tree. Almost cheering in joy, Alcer began to jump and slide down the tree before he landed on the ground about 25 feet away from the tree she was sitting at. Completely breathless, he began to walk towards her, saying "Christine!"

I froze in place. Familiar voice and familiar legs... I didn't dare look up to see Alcer standing above me. My body had gone stiff and I could barely manage to move."What do you want from me?"I spat, my gaze turning into a glare, as if I was trying to burn a hole in the ground

"I have been looking all over camp for you Christine. I've been wanting to apologize. I feel like scum for what I did and I'll accept any punishment you see fit. Just please give me one more chance." Alcer was now kneeling in front of Christine, practically begging.

OOC: I coulnt think of anything to put for a while... XP

"Not happening. Why should I give you a secon dchance, huh? So that you can pull your little stunt when the whole camp is watching, right? Or even take a video and upload it online? I won't be fooled twice, Alcer. I've learned my lesson, the hard way. You never even wanted me as a friend to begin with. You just toyed with me from the start. Well, congratulations there! You won your little game! Now get the f**k out of my life"I snapped and looked at him defiantly, rage clear in my eyes

Frowning in sadness, Alcer said "Please Christine. It was a very cruel joke, but I was never planning on doing it in the first place. I do want you as a friend, you are one of the few that I have. Or at least, that I used to. What can I do to earn your forgiveness?" Alcer begged, eyes full of regret.

"A joke? A joke?! So that's your sense of humor, huh? Let's give the little girl a hear attack, shall we? Let's pretend to be her friend and then crush her heart and bring her on her knees! So funny!"I snarled, chocking on the last words as I felt tears forming in my eyes. No, I won't cry. "There's no way I'm ever trusting you again, don't even bother"

Alcer's heart felt like it was being crushed. He then said, in a completely serious tone, "Christine. If you give me one more chance, I swear that if I ever do anything to betray you again, I will let you kill me."

I snored and rolled my eyes."I would never kill you. I'm not that kind of person"I said and stood up."And now if you'll excuse me, I have more imporant stuff to do."With that I picked up my book, put that and my owl back in my backpack and got up, dusting off my pants before walking away

"Christine, all I wanted to do is apologize for what I did. I know that you probably won't forgive me for a long time, if ever, but I am willing to wait. All I want is to repair the shattered bond that was broken by my idiocy." Alcer then sat down on a nearby rock and put his head in his arms.

I stopped and turned to look at him."Actually, you know what? You're right. You ruined this. You ruined my trust towards you, towards the world and the rest of humanity. And now you come here all sad and regretfull, beggin that I forgive you. Give me one good reason to do it. One reason to forget about what you did to me. One reason to trust again. Just one"

Looking at Christine sadly, Alcer said "I don't have any reasons for you to forgive me, forget about what I did, or trust me. It is your decision, and if you decide whether or not to do it, the reasons are going to be your own."

"Trying to make me feel guilty for leaving poor Alcer on his own, now, do we?"I said sarcastically but sighed. I knew he was right. And I knew that, deep down, I wanted to forgive him. But I couldn't. He was the ssame as the others."Ihateyou"I finally grumpled."I hate you so freaking much. I hate you for what you did but I also hate you for making me forgive you. You are a terrible man, mister Rune"

"I apolo-" Alcer paused when he realized the insinuation of one of her comments. "Wait, you hate me for making you forgive me? That implies that you already forgive me..." Alcer trailed off.

I nodded and looked down, suddenly finding my old black sneakers very interesting."I guess... Ih, and I also hate you for making me hate myself for forgiving you so easily"I added and pushed my hands in the pockets of my jacket."So yeah. You get your second chance"

Smiling softly, Alcer said "Thank-you Christine. I swear to never abuse your trust again."

OOC: Let's see.. In a deadly forest... In the dark... two teens... FOrest full of monsters... Perca, shall you do the honors?

I gave a shy smile. Just then, an almighty roar was heard and the grouns started shaking as if from an earthquake. Or giant steps. I had just completed that thought when a huge hellhound, along with a hydra emerged from the forest around us."Uh-oh. It seems we're in trouble"I muttered to myself

"Just my luck. First I get slapped by a nymph, then I leave my crossbow at camp, now this. Whatever." He willed his rings into their scimitar forms and said "If you can hold off the hydra for a minute, I'll take out the hellhound."

"I say we give it a go"I said and pulled out my dagger. I may nit always carires my sword around, but I always had a weapon on me."Havefun"I said sarcastically and took of towards the Hydra. Sliding bwteen its legs before it could react, I tries to slice it's belly with my dagger, but it was tloo high, so I just stuxk with attacking the monster's legs

Grinning widely, Alcer dashed towards the hellhound with his twin scimitars. He attempted an overhead slash at the hellhound, only to have to jump away due it's fangs. Alcer attempted several more slashes, getting several good strikes onto it before killing it with a blow to the skull. However, he did not come out of the battle unscathed. He had a deep cut on his right leg and his remaining eye was blurred with blood. Shaking off his dizziness, Alcer rushed over to assist Christine with the Hydra.

I was aleeady good on my way of finishing up the Hydra when Alcer joined the battle. I spat some blood running down my face from the wound on the eyebrow and my right arm was useless after the stupid monster had stepped onto it, effectively crushing my bones. Fhe battle was over quickly, by a stab at the neck and one in the eye. So now I rested against a tree, grinning at Alcar, both of us covered in monster dust."You okay?"

Nodding, Alcer immediately noticing her arm. "Christine, we have to take you to the infirmary." Wiping the blood out of his remaining eye, Alcer picked Christine up and immediately began to sprint back to camp, ignoring his own wounds.

"Hey, put me down!"I yelled and tried to kick him to stop."You are wounded too! You can't run around like this!"I insisted and wiped some blood from his forehead."Stop right there!"

Wincing at the kicks, Alcer shook his head and said "Sorry, but I can't do this. First of all, depending on how your arm was broken, moving it may aggravate it, resulting in a worse injury. Who am I to just let you break your arm more." Alcer finished with a smile, before speeding up his sprinting.

"But you're hurt! Your leg is in as bad condition as my arm! Put me down!"I insisted and tried to bite his arm, while mine rested uselessly at my side. The other one was wrapped loosely around his neck and I used it to try and attempt a headlock."Put me down!"
