A trip to the Big City... Empty A trip to the Big City...

Ah New York, a nice city, it happened to be the first time Jane had ever visited here. Jane slowly, taking a winding, roundabout route to Camp Half-blood. There it was too peaceful, it left her on edge, her sense of restlessness making her irritable and prone to getting into fights with the various other Campers. Most of those she managed to win.
But enough about there, Jane wanted to see as much of New York as possible, after all who knew when she would next find herself in this city?

Jane explored the city, taking a few pictures of the various places that she longed to see, when she had been on that train into the city. Now she found herself outside a coffee shop, eating a chocolate chip cookie. On the table there lay an empty cup, that used to hold hot chocolate until Jane consumed it all earlier. Under her table there lay a worn, faded camouflage bag in which contained various equipment and belongings, as well as a few souvenirs from her adventures over the previous months.

Her axe lay hidden inside a small black carry bag, zipped up tight. It was propped against the table just in case she needed it. On her adventure, Jane had clashed with a few monsters, slaying a couple of them, escaping from others. She would need to move in a few minutes, if she wanted to see everything before she caught another train.
One thing she had failed to prepare for was the price of the hotels in New York, especially in Summer. Still, soon she would find herself back in the safety of the Camp.
Even if she struggled to remain at the Camp, it was after all her home. She just wanted some more time to herself before the year rounder returned. Jane glanced around nervously, her blue eyes scanning for danger.

Eventually, after finishing her cookie she collected her gear and began to move out. Jane's current attire consisted of a sun faded, camouflage boonie hat, a faded dark grey t-shirt, a black jacket, dark blue jeans, black boots and a grey utility belt that held a few bits and pieces. Around her neck hung a pair of dog tags, indented on one of them was the image of the Finnish flag, the second had her name on them. A gift from her mother a long time ago, one of her most cherished possessions, including the harmonica. Speaking of which, she checked that it still lay safely within one of the pockets of her belt. It was, good she could always play a tune or two on the train.
