by Rhyolo 10/5/2014, 6:17 pmRhy decide after celebrating his day of birth he needed to improve his skills. He searchred around for a suitible opponent but none showed. Hopefully one would show up soon. So in the meantime he leaned up against the wall of the arena. He examined his old clothes. His jeans had holes where the knees were suppose to be. His nike shoes had been once white but now covered in dirt and mud. The red chb shirt he made. It has the sleeves ripped off because the sleeves were to torn up. He stood there and examined his clothes until his opponent walked in.

Drizzt had already been in the arena. His schedule was simple, and effective. Wake, eat, train, eat, hunt the woods, eat, attend the campfire, and after riding Asphodel at night, finally sleeping. So he waited in the arena for someone to walk when this kid walked in. He didn't look like much, and he didn't look like the one Drizzt hunted in the forest, but as far as sparring partners went, the child of Makaria decided he would have to do. Stepping forth from the shadows, Drizzt took note of his surroundings; 4 training dummies, 3 weapons racks, one with swords, another with axes, another with spears. A pile of straw, presumably from other destroyed dummies. Drizzt himself wore only black clothes, along with a vantablack cloak with hood. Vantablack was a new thing, a newly developed fabric that was so dark, the eye almost couldn't even process what it was looking at. His gray skin looked dead even in the best of lights, and the blood red color of his eyes, along with his gray skin and dark clothing, made him incessantly the target of vampire jokes. "I presume you are here to train." Drizzt said, his flat, toneless voice giving the idea that he really WAS dead, and merely reanimated as a necromancer's project. Raising the hood so it covered his head, Drizzt now bore a resemblance to the Grim Reaper as seen on Google Images. Not many people gave vampire jokes when the hood was up. A hand rose, a strange item that looked something like sunglasses in it, and then it expanded to full size. A scythe was there, full sized. The handle was shaped to resemble a human spine, though about 5 feet tall. At the butt of the scythe was a lantern like shape that glowed with a faint, grey light. The blade was Stygian Iron, and about a foot and a half long, and 6 inches long at the base, narrowing down to a sharp, deadly point. "Would you like to have a go?"

Rhy saw the boy emerge from the shadows. She the bow removed his dark hood he looked dead. But with his scythe he looked the grim reaper. Rhy was up for a battle with death. Rhy smirked and transformed his watch into His Celestial Bronze katanna. He held that in his right hand while with his left he transformed his left ring into his Celestial broze Sai. "Ready when you are." He got in a fighting stance. His Sai close to his body and katanna farther but still close. He had his other sai in ring form on his right hand. His sai were for defense and katanna for offense. He was studying his oppenent for weak spots.

Drizzt approached slowly. He could move, if he wanted to, but he preferred a tactical approach, as opposed to just rushing into the fray, when it came to one on one battles. He moved to where he was just outside of the reach of his opponent's weapons, though with Drizzt's scythe, the kid was just inside of the weapon's reach, if he struck right.

Rhy looked at the kid's hands. They were positioned so if one was taken out he would most likely loose control. So Rhy with no haste slams the hilt of his sai on the bottom hand. Hopefully his strike would connect.

Drizzt reacted instantly. The upside to having a stafflike weapon is that the position of two hands on it gives exceptional control. He moved to where the hilt of the blade missed, and attempted to whirl around, the blade of his scythe coming down in a deadly arc. He didn't have it aimed to kill, though. Just maim the left arm. Assuming it connected properly, he would slice a half inch deep cut on the inside of his upper arm. If his opponent reacted expectedly, moving backward, the scythe would just miss his chest, and believe that this was the main target.

Rhy grunted that he missed. He saw his opponent reacted quick. He quickly studied his options. Back would be a miss but out of range to attack, staying would be the body shot but still in range. He needed both so he side stepped.

Drizzt observed that this one thought quick on his feet. Good. Thinking on your feet kept you alive. The scythe blade straightened as he turned the scythe, using momentum of the first strike to move into position, and the scythe became a long, two handed spear, and jabbed, aiming for the left thigh.

Rhy blocked teh strike with his sai. to make sur the weapon stays down he traps the tip in the space between the first and middle prong. while his opponent's spear is in the ground he slashes at his arm.

The strike was blocked, and blocked well. Drizzt was forced to maneuver backward, taking a fairly large jump behind him to avoid getting Harvester pinned. He lowered his back forward slightly to brace himself for landing. When he did, he made a sort of slamming motion with Harvester, and the blade resumed it's natural, reaping position. With that, Drizzt straightened, getting into a less battle ready position. "You fight well," Drizzt said tonelessly. "Maybe one day you can fight alongside me as well. Now if you will excuse me." Drizzt turned, leaving the Arena.

Drizzt stopped for a moment, weighing what the kid wanted of his name; full name, first, demigodly parentage, or what. Then, he decided to leave him hanging a bit. After all, the kid had proved himself on defense, but was yet to prove himself in offense. "The child of Makaria", Drizzt said, and left. If Rhyolo attempted to follow him, he would find nothing. Drizzt had vanished into the shadows.
