under the shadow of a large oak tree sat a girl. the sun blasted a ray of light onto her, as if she was a divine being. that was definitely not what this girl was though. her legs sat outstretched in front of her; her back resting on the thick trunk of the massive tree. black combat boots and dark ginger colored straight-fit pants adorned her legs. for her upper body, she was outfitted with a black training shirt which was covered by a heavy yet slim crimson-colored hooded sweatshirt. her chestnut hair was draped around her face, acting as a curtain that revealed her closed olive pit eyes, petite nose, and pale pink lips. the girl had a look of tranquility slapped onto her face. it was rare for her to feel this way. why did she though? there was no reason to be.
every so often the wind would come around and rush through her hair, but it always reverted back into the place it was fashioned to a few seconds before. deep breaths let the air cleanse her lungs and helped clear her mind. it was rare for nadia to have these rest days. days where she would not train at all. she would spend her whole day in solitude and take in her surroundings and nature. it somehow helped her release all the anger that she managed to build in between these days of simplicity.
nadia felt refreshed. her muscles felt at ease for once, which was an absolutely amazing experience. the demigod was used to them being constantly sore and in pain thanks to non-stop, brutal training. it was on days like these that the demigod felt the strongest. she refused to let the strength be leeched from her though. she let it concentrate inside of her and help repair possible sprains and tears. sometimes the daughter of ares wished that every day could be like this. that was impossible though. there was always training to be done and fights to be fought. there would never be true peace in nadia's world, and she had to come to terms with that fact.
