Maddy could hear the music the moment she stepped out of the car. Powerful bass, steady rhythm. She grinned at Raven and locked the car once both of them were out and made her way through the thick snow on her red pumps, the heels spangled and glittering. It was winter in Montreal so both of them were wrapped in warm snowboard jackets, beanies on their heads and scarves around their necks. Overhead Christmas lights glowed in the dark, some lost snowflakes tumbling around, getting caught in their hair. There was a huge queue in front of the club but Maddy knew the bouncer, so she went ahead and greeted him, asking him about his new girlfriend, how things were, etc. It didn't last a minute and they were in, the club's stamp on their wrists. Inside, the air was fortunately hot, which was a nice change from the freezing cold outside, like walking out of a fridge. Maddy took off her gloves, scarf and jacket, revealing her burgundy crop top and short pencil skirt, spangled gold and cut a bit over mid-thigh. Her curls were falling freely down her shoulder blades, freshly washed and smelling of coconut. She gave her clothes and bag to the woman behind the counter, paid and got a ticket with a number on it, which she slipped into her shoe.
"Let's get this party started," she grinned and took Raven's hand, walking through the corridor towards the party. The music was already thumping through her ribcage. It was really hot and sticky in there; a drunk girl stumbled past them in mini shorts as they pushed the door open, finally arriving on the dance floor. Colorful lasers swept over the dancing crowd, a game of lights and smoke. Couples glided against each other, people jumped up and down with the rhythm. Girls whipped their hair around. Maddy felt adrenaline rush through her whole body and grinned at Raven again before heading straight into the mass of dancers.Now Raven and her were here, the bash was about to get notched up a few levels.
