breathing in snowflakes

Charlotte loved Christmas. It was her favourite holiday. Well, after her birthday of course though it was close. She loved staying in drinking hot chocolate while outside the whether was a piercing cold temperature. She would wear her most warmest - yet fashionable - clothes and usually watch movies all day. Except that was back home.
The daughter of Venus pulled her red Christmas sweater over the white shirt she wore. At the moment it wasn't as cold as it could be so she took this as an opportunity to wear really cute clothes in the snow. Her honey coloured hair fell out of a white cashmere beanie and onto her pink infinity scarf keeping her neck warm. Her feet were insulated by pink and white ug boot things which Charlotte thought were the most cutest things ever. Then of course she had her skinny jeans.
She looked outside. It hadn't been snowing though she imagined it would be with the grey clouds hanging overhead.

Cody looked outside. He had told Charlotte to meet him, since they couldn't get the same plane tickets. And there she was; outside of his house, in Las Vegas. He looked around for Nemo; he had been the one to take her with him. "Nemo, Char is here!" he yelled, looking back out of the window. He thought she looked absolutely beautiful; then again, he always did. He looked back, hearing footsteps on the stairs. He quickly grabed his coat and put on his beanie. He went outside.

"Hey, beautiful," he smiled at her, "how was the-"

"CHAR! CHARRRRR!" Nemo came running out, hugging Charlotte. "It's been, like, twenty-four hours! Merry Christmas!"

Cody grinned. He hugged the both of them. "Merry Christmas to you both."

Cody's dad approached them, from the house. He had dark brown hair and green eyes, and a little goatee going on. He was not too pale, but not too tan; he wore a Christmas sweater (not ugly, though), sweat pants, and boots. He had a beanie on. "Charlotte Bay, nice to meet you." He smiled at her. He held out his hand to shake. "Let's go inside, before the weather gets worse-"

Suddenly, a limo came riding in the driveway. Ullired, Nemo's father, got out. "Em!"

"Daddy!" she broke the hug with Cody and Char and went to hug him. Cody still hung onto Char, however; he enjoyed this moment.

There was an instant smile on her face as Cody approached her. And as he was asking a question Nemo came running and shouting at her before pulling her into a hug.
"Hi guys! Merry Christmas!" she said while giggling the slightest bit. She noticed a man - she assumed it was Cody's father - walking over. "Charlotte Bay, nice to meet you." He said with a smile. He held out a hand and Charlotte took it and shook it politely. "Let's go inside, before the weather gets worse-" Cody's dad was interrupted by Nemo's father pulling up in a limo. She ran over to him, leaving Charlotte still in Cody's grasp.
Sudden realisation washed over Charlotte. She would most likely be asked about her family. She bit her lip and shrugged the thought off.

Cody smiled at Nemo. He headed inside, as well as his dad, Nemo's dad, and Nemo herself. Nemo's dad and Cody's dad started having a conversation among themselves. Cody took off his coat and such and went over by the Christmas tree. He looked down at the presents. Among them was from Cody, to Charlotte, from Nemo, to Charlotte, from Cody, to Nemo, etc. Ullired came over to put down a huge one for Nemo, as well as two smaller ones for Cody and Charlotte.

Cody grabbed a plate of cookies and three glasses of milk. He motioned Charlotte and Nemo over. Nemo came running over, stuffing herself. Cody chuckled a bit.

"I love you, Charlotte. Merry Christmas." He went in to kiss her, then distaster struck.

"Beauty, beasts." It was him. It was it. It was

Korisha's son.

"Guys, great news!" Ullired exclaimed. He put his arm around Korisha's waist. "We're getting married."

Korisha's son laughed. "Say hello to your new brother, beast." He grinned at Nemo.

Nemo's eyes filled with tears. She quickly hugged Cody, putting her face into his shirt. "No, no, no!" her muffled voice said.

"Yes, yes, yesssss."

Charlotte was happy. She was going to spend christmas day with her boyfriend and half-sister who she loved to bits. But of course it went crashing down with a single voice. The voice of Korisha's son.
Charlotte didn't mind Korisha. She had really only met her once and quite briefly but she thought she was quite alright. But the thing that this daughter of Venus didn't get was how someone - as nice as Korisha - could have a child like him. Was she r*p*d by a demon or something? Charlotte felt sorry for her.

There was a very noticeable look of disgust on her face. She didn't hide her glare or frown. She - for the rest of the time she stayed here - was ignoring him. She took a glass of milk and dipped her cookie into the liquid before taking a bite.
Charlotte nearly spat out her cookie when she heard the exciting yet horrible news of the happy couple were now engaged. She didn't know what to say. After a few seconds of a omg-wth-are-you-serious expression being plastered on her face she scrubbed it off and replaced it with a half fake smile.
"congratulations..." she said. She was sure everyone heard the un-excitedness in her voice but she had to show something... right?
