Darren was oh so good at sneaking out, much better than those Hermes kids ever were. Alright, so that wasn't totally true some of them could have given some of the kids back home a lesson or two on sneaking out. But for the majority he was pretty darn good at it when he wanted to be and today was a good enough reason to be sneaking out. It was a good two or three, he'd forgotten which, days after the Colosseum Gladiator games and the Greeks, that's him, still had yet to return to Cam Half-Bloood. So, upon further exploration not only did he finally find the training arena place but he also was told there was a theater close by Camp Jupiter.

After some trouble he had managed to leave his sword at camp, dagger strapped to his leg however as he never went anywhere unprotected, enough cash for a ticket and a large popcorn or two, and a Gps and he was off! Sure, the sentries noticed him leaving but he did so with a group of people sticking to the middle all assassins creed style so they thought nothing of it. About an hour later, or something like that as he didn't have a device to tell time, he found himself at the theater and strolled up to the counter to buy a ticket to see Big Hero Six. Darren was a comic book nerd flat out, his entire Cabin knew it and so did his close friends...or at least they used to. So, when news came that there was a new super hero movie, animated or not, he just had to see it.

Ticket bought he slid over to the part where you bought the food for viewing the movie, which was odd because at the Theater over by Camp Half-Blood they were all bought in the same line. He couldn't complain though because the Large popcorns here were ginormous and when the older lady behind he counter asked if he was sharing with someone he could only laugh and nod ordering a large bottle of water. Had to have something to drink down the salty, buttery goodness he thought to himself as he added a lot of the butter liquid stuff shaking the bag a bit to make sure it got everywhere. Popping some in his mouth he turned around and stepped forward, only to walk into someone...oops? Least he didn't spill his popcorn.

"Watch it!" Tiberia immediately said with a scowl, giving the guy the wolf glare that had become the trademark of Roman legionnaires. Then she recognized him.. "Urgh, you! What are you doing here?"

Darren, the chatty Graecus who didn't know how to shut up about how awesome he was. Just Tibia's luck. Fortunately, she hadn't dropped the drinks but some of the Sprite had gotten on her hands and shoes, making them sticky with soda.

"Everything okay?" Decimus asked behind her, carrying the popcorn. He looked a lot like her, with his dark curls, caramel skin and blue eyes, though was taller by about an inch or so.

"Yeah, just a Graecus. You guys move along, I'm there in a minute -- gotta find some kind of Kleenex."

Her twin just gave her a thumbs up and went to the movie room #8 with his girlfriend, a blonde daughter of Ceres from the Third Cohort. Normally, Tiberia would've had an issue with another person coming with her brother and her to the movies, since they were close and going to movies was their thing (and you know, third wheel problesm), but they had seen the Hobbit 3 together two days ago (in 3D and HFR, yum) so she guessed it was fine. She'd just munch on her popcorns somewhere while Decimus and Leah ate each other's faces in the back.
Tiberia drew a Kleenex from her bag and wiped her fingers clean. She was dressed in a loose sea blue top with skinny white jeans and sneakers, a necklace with a golden seashell pendant hanging around her neck. Her curls were brushed into a ponytail, her eyes emphasized by mascara and a bit of navy eyeliner.

So, the person he bumped into wasn’t exactly the happiest person in the world it seemed. He may or may not have accidently spilled their drink on them but that doesn’t mean it was completely his fault. I mean all he did was turn around they were the one who should be watching where they were going. However it seemed apologizing was one of the things instilled upon him, not by a parental figure though because let’s be honest he never had one of those, by his friends back in Sydney and at Camp. “Right sorry about that” setting down his popcorn he turned to grab some napkins “Here let me hel- HEY!” He said handing her the napkins to at least try and help with the spilt soda.

“You’re the girl from the lake…Aqualady right?” Sure, he knew that wasn’t exactly her name but it didn’t really matter to him. She kept calling him the derogatory name for Greek so he’d keep calling her Aqualady. Not like he actually called anyone by their real names anyway, he gave everyone a nickname it was kind of his way of not becoming truly attached to anyone. That way by not calling anyone by their names he wouldn’t feel bad if something happened to them or well you get the picture. Anyway he couldn’t help but laugh at the situation they were in, here he was going to a movie to see some super hero movie and he runs into his very own super heroine. Or at least the Roman swimmer who he happened to give a super heroine nickname, same difference though.

“As for what I’m doing here it has to be pretty clear, movie theater, popcorn” he held up his large popcorn here “and a movie ticket to see Big Hero Six. What about you? Third wheeling with a friend and his girlfriend?” Oh yes, Darren may not be the smartest person in the room but he was the most observant, or so he thought. It came as a side effect of never being able to focus on one thing for a long period of time, you kind of noticed everything even if his brain didn’t pick it all up. By this time however he had already moved into the closest open cashier person’s line and bought a replacement sprite for Aqualady, same size and everything. Setting his stuff down so as not to spill it he spun back around, careful not to run into anyone this time, and held it out to her. “Here for you know spilling your other one.” See he could think of someone other than himself…sometimes.

"He's my brother," she replied in an annoyed voice. Leah may be nice and all -- the real band geek -- but Darren was right, she really did feel like the third wheel from time to time. It wouldn't have come to that if Kaeso, their other brother, had come along but he had preferred to hang out in New Rome with some of his friends and Tibia hadn't felt like bailing on Decimus too.

She mouthed the most unintelligible Thanks in History before grabbing the new Sprite cup. Now she had to thank the guy, too? What came next, daisy crowns?

"What you're going to see Big Hero 6 too?" She asked then looked at the ceiling. "Yay."

Just her luck. "You better eat those popcorn quietly, sir," she told him and went inside the movie room. Leah and Decimus were in the back, already kissing. She put one Sprite bottle next to them, took one popcorn bag and went to find a seat somewhere, as the room was pretty empty for now.
Why did she have to run into Darren again? The guy was arrogant, boasting about everything. And he had been behind her by a second. Only a second. It annoyed her because, as irritating and conceited as he was, he was good at swimming and she had to give him that. But I'm better -- I'm also the granddaughter of Neptune -- so? He's a demigod too -- not a water one.

Brother? Oh well that had to be absolutely and totally awkward then, or so Darren assumed he never actually had any real siblings, that he knew of, and the ones at Camp weren’t in any relationships, again that he knew of. However when she took the cup, asked or rather stated that he was here to see Big Hero Six too said yay and walked off Darren could only stand there and shrug popping some more popcorn in his mouth. Obviously she wasn’t happy about the sprite being spilled on her and he could understand that but she seemed a little bit off today. Or rather maybe this was what she was really like and when they met on the bea-HEY ladybug!

Darren’s thought process wasn’t exactly like that of your average person so he got distracted a lot as you could probably see. Ladybug now positioned on the top of his left hand which was also holding his water, and large popcorn in the other he walked into the theater a little bit after Aqualady only to stop as soon as he walked inside. It was completely empty save for a couple making out in the back row, a family with two children in the front and Tiberia at her own seat a bit away from the couple whom he assumed was her brother and his girlfriend. Seeing as the theater was empty he realized he could actually get a good seat and watch the movie, unlike at the Premier of Guardians of the Galaxy where because he took his entire Cabin they nearly got kicked out.

Popping some more popcorn into his mouth he made his way to the exact middle of the theatre, in his mind the perfect spot to watch the movie. It wasn’t too high up and it wasn’t so close that you could barely see anything. Nope, he was exactly in the middle and then exactly in the middle of his row so that he had the best view of everything. After going to see movies, and plays, and operas at the Sydney Opera House and other places back in Australia he had learned where to sit everywhere. Didn’t matter if he had only been in those places for only a little bit of time due to not exactly buying the tickets or getting kicked out because he and…he and…he and Lauren couldn’t sit still together for longer than three seconds. Mmm…commercials looked good but he was bored already he thought as he threw a piece of popcorn in the air attempting to catch it in his mouth.

During the food commercials where you saw people eating stuff, closing their eyes in delight and living happily ever after, Tiberia had plugged in her headphones to listen to some music. Skyrim theme for the win. She didn't carry a phone because you know, they attract monsters and stuff, but iPhone was okay, right?
She was scrolling through the Genres when the ads for movies came on -- now that interested her. Hobbit 3 -- seen; Mortdecai -- oh, guy who played the Camerlengo in Angels&Demons! But still the movie seemed bleh; Exodus -- aaayyy -- Jupiter Ascending -- meh, when's the actual movie supposed to start, again?
Finally the lighst went on again then faded away a couple of minutes later, the screen seemingly becoming bigger as the curtains drew further away.
Tiberia sat through the first twenty minutes of the movie, really enjoying herself. Her lips were dry with the popcorns' salt, her tongue tingled with soda, and the seat was uber comfortable (since there was no one in front of her, she put her feet up). As for the storyline, it was really good; she laughed a couple of times.
She had seen Darren walk in and was relieved he hadn't sat next to her -- well even if he had, she'd have moved. No way she watched a movie next to him.

Alright so Darren had to admit the movie was pretty good, but after twenty minutes he was seriously running low on attention span energy. Don’t get it wrong he loved every second of the cheesy animated super hero movie and the big cuddly cloud that turns into a knock off Iron Man; but he was still the same old Darren that you knew and loved or loved to hate. He was also nearly out of popcorn, which was never a good thing because this kid could eat an all you can eat buffet dry and still want more. Taking a sip of his water, finishing it off, he looked around and grinned noticing that Aqualady wasn’t actually too many rows behind her. In fact it was perfect distance for him to peg her with a piece of popcorn.

The only problem he could see was one. Was it really worth wasting what little popcorn he had left to simply throw at her when he could instead eat the buttery, salty, goodness that is pop of the corn? After debating it in his mind for a couple minutes he decided that yes, yes it was in fact a good enough reason to waste the popcorn. So making sure he had the angle right he turned so he was facing the screen again, well again in the sense that he had just been checking out the distance and what not. Making sure it wasn’t too interesting of a part, no need to piss her off more than he was already going to, and flung the piece of popcorn behind him.

He didn’t turn around to make sure it hit, didn’t check to make sure it even made it close to her because he had a feeling if it did she’d say something. Hades, even if it didn’t hit her and came remotely close to hitting her she’d either blame him or her brother and his girlfriend because Darren had made sure to throw it right when they weren’t sucking face. One of the only times throughout the entire movie it seemed they weren’t sucking face…whether or not they actually had popcorn he didn’t know, but that wasn’t his problem. His problem was what Tiberia would do once she realized it was him who threw the piece of popcorn.

A popcorn bumped off her shoulder and she turned around. Darren was looking at the screen and so were Leah and Decimus. Could it be Decimus? Nah, her brother and her teased each other a lot but if he had done it he'd be making Tibia a stupid face.
Plus, he wouldn't do that kind of cheesy brother-sister stuff right in front of Leah.
    So it must've been Darren.

Tiberia looked back at the screen, selected a really sticky popcorn, glanced at Darren again then threw it at him over her seat.

When he felt the popcorn hit his hair and actually stick into the back of it. Reaching back he grabbed the piece and pulled it out before shaking his head and looking back at Tiberia. It was on now, sure he figured it wasn't a good idea and doing so was probably not the best idea in the world but they were halfway through the movie anyway and it wasn't like she was going to kill him for throwing popcorn at her. Taking another piece of popcorn, to add onto the one she threw at him. With them in hand he turned around and threw both pieces of popcorn at her with enough force to make it to her, or so he hoped. With his luck they probably would fall short...he was throwing up and they were popcorn pieces after all. After they were thrown though he turned around to watch the screen as if nothing happened.

((Ew post, have you seen mine))

One of the popcorns actually hit her face.
Okay, now that was too far. After the movie, Greco-Roman friendship or not, she'd stick him upside down in a fishmonger's garbage can. And trust me, she knows where to find the best of those. (Descendant of Neptune and stuff.)

Straightening her back, she decided this childish game was unworthy of her Roman self and she focused on the movie, trying not to pay too much attention to the son of Nike.

She…She…She didn’t do anything!?! Sure, okay maybe he was over reacting and she was totally preparing to do something but the fact that she did nothing to him. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it wasn’t for the fact that it was during a sappy part of the movie, meaning he had nothing to watch and distract him, as his lady bug had flown off ages ago. Throwing popcorn was obviously not going to distract her or push her enough to make her do something which of course meant Darren had to think of something else, he needed to get some sort of reaction out of her or otherwise what was the point in doing it? Right? So, there he sat, and there he thought…until the best plan ever entered the mind of the surprisingly shirt wearing Australian.

Getting up from his seat with his almost empty popcorn bucket he made his way towards the exit as if he was going out to get more popcorn, and just when he was out of sight he went the long way around back came up the other side and walked all the way up to the second to last row before walking through to the other side. Once there he went up those last little row of steps walked down in the row and plopped down in the seat next to Aqualady’s brother, who thankfully wasn’t making out with his girlfriend at that point in time. Seems like they needed to come up for a breather and a drink of sprite, thank the Gods or this would have been weird.

“Hey! Names Darren nice to meet ‘cha your Aqualady’s sister right? Guess that makes you Aquaman.” He said quietly, because hey he can do quiet, grabbing his hand and shaking it because personal space much? Nah. “Right, so got a bit of a propisiton for you, or rather more of a question, guess it depends on the way you think about it.” He stopped to finish off his last bit of popcorn. “See, Aqualady down there didn’t react when I threw popcorn at her, and obviously that’s a bad thing so what can I do to get her to do something? It’s not much fun when the person you’re messing with doesn’t do anything in response, bet you know what I’m talking about though right? Ssswhy I came to you, you know what makes her tick yea?” Oh he could talk, and talk…but at least he wasn’t shouting and was actually keeping it to a whisper, didn’t need her hearing.

Decimus looked  at the guy with incredulity, and so did Tiberia in her seat. Was Darren really talking to her twin right now? ...Where did he get the nerve?

"Excuse me, I'm trying to watch a movie here. So if you could like, stop talking, that would be great." He then turned away ostentatiously to show he expected Darren to leave. He liked teasing Tibia, she was his sister after all, but he didn't like it when others messed with her. But he wasn't going to tell the guy to stop; Tiberia could take care of her issues very well.
But then he just.. kept talking?
Leah was showing signs of impatience next to him and he grunted, catching Tiberia's eyes and giving her a look of, How did you not kill him yet? Alright, enough was enough. He gestured at a theatre guy who stood in a corner and had seen Darren's whole maneuver; he came over, Decimus briefly explained in a calm, hushed voice how the guy was causing trouble and the theatre man went over to where he was seated, politely but firmly telling him to leave the room.

No only were neither the brother or the brother's girlfriend going to try and give him the answer he wanted, they had the nerve to try and throw him out! Okay sure, he kind of deserved them to be mad at him but he hadn't exactly done anything too bad. That and it wasn't like Aqualad, because he sure as Hades didn't deserve to be Aquaman, was even watching the movie as he was too busy sucking face with his girlfriend. "Woa woa, hold up there pretty boy." He muttered not really getting a good look at the guy that now had his hand on Darren's shoulder, which he pushed off before standing up and jumping down to the row below them.

"I am not in the wrong here, well enough to get thrown out at least, and it isn't like the two of them were actually watching the movie. Furthermore i-hang on are your eyes red?" Sure, lead it to his ADHD to point out the fact that the overly handsome usher guy at the movie theater who was about to throw him out, had blood red eyes. Like seriously could they be even more creepy and red and this is about the point where Darren's eyes widened in shock, this was no normal usher. Now that he wasn't totally distracted he noticed the guy, dude, monster, thing had chalk white skin, glowing red eyes, and hang on was his hair on fire? Grabbing his dagger from under his pants out of the sheath he threw it at the thing, aiming for center mass, only one way to find out.

Tiberia had heard the altercation and was glancing behind her every now and again, but what really got her blood pumping was when Darren asked if his eyes were red. Red eyes weren't exactly a good sign for demigods. She slipped her hand into her bag, closing her fingers around the hilt of her imperial gold pugio (she would've taken her gladius but that wouldn't have been accepted in the theatre).

The moment Darren threw his dagger, Tibia was next to him, pushing her brother back on his seat. "Stand down Decimus. Let your big sister handle that. Why don't you go make out somewhere else?" Her dismissive tone hid her bitterness to everyone but him, who knew her best. Her pugio glowing golden in the darkness, she aimed a cut then a stab at the monster -- handsome monster -- handsome enough for her to briefly stop. Hey, why was her side hurting?
She felt hot blood seep out of her clothing and caking her skin. Stinging pain.
Enough pain to bring her back to reality. An incubus.

Growling like a wolf, she aimed for the incubus' neck while Leah and Decimus both joined into the fight with their own daggers.

Darren was surprised how quickly the three Romans jumped into the fight, sure he knew fighting was like their thing but he also figured they wouldn’t exactly be too keen on helping the ‘Graecus’. Which is honestly why he was surprised the monster didn’t go down so quickly, I mean after a dagger to the chest a cut and a stab at his chest you’d think he’d be a pile of sand by now. But no, apparently Roman monsters, because obviously it was a Roman monster seeing as how they were closer to New Rome, didn’t exactly understand the fact that after you were slashed and stabbed a couple times you were supposed to die. That’s just how things worked.

After seeing Tiberia get harmed by the monster Darren rushed forwards pushed off the top of the chair and leaped over top of the monster, ripping his dagger out of the things chest as he went. Twirling ever so slightly, if only to show off, while in the air over top of the thing before landing on his feet behind him. “You looked better when your head wasn’t on fire dude.” He said as the thing was turning around, only for it to lose said head. Sure, it was showy and could have been done differently but in Darren’s mind it didn’t matter how the monster was taken down as long as it was. Besides the pile of golden dust now at their feet already had two stab wounds to the chest and a nice cut across it anyway. Not like it was going to survive much longer.

Grinning up at the other three he was about to make a funny or idiotic remark when his eyes caught the big movie screen. The credits were rolling. Meaning they had missed the last half of the movie because of this pile of dust. “Awww man the movies over…I wanted to see the spooky mask wearing guy get beat up by the cute fluffy robot in Not Iron Man Armor.” Because yes, even after being attacked by a monster this was what ran through his mind. He wasn’t sure he could ever be on track with one thi-Aqualady! She was still hurt “Hey woa, Tiberia you alright? You’ve got a nasty gash there.”

Decimus, Tiberia and Leah were fighting in formation, next to each other and completing each other's hits. It was like a game of chess. And just the moment Darren jumped on the incubus, she drove her pugio deep into his chest. Yeah, just when the Graecus sliced his head off. The incubus dismantled into a brief column of green flames, its essence flowing back to Tartarus while Tiberia looked at her side for the first real time.

"Buzz off," she simply said, pushing Darren and Decimus out of the way to limp down the stairs towards her bag, keeping her back as straight as possible despite the injury. She was pressing her hand to her side to stop at least a bit of the blood until she reached the healing potion she always carried around in a water bottle. It wasn't as strong as nectar or ambrosia but at least she wouldn't burn down to a pile of smoking Tiberia ashes if she drank too much of it.
Finding the bottle, she opened it with blood-slippery hands and took a couple of gulps. The pain in her side decreased almost immediately though blood had run down her blue top to her white jeans; she'd have to hide that.
The families had left, apparently oblivious to the fight. Thanks, Mist.

Tiberia looked at the wound in her side, slowly closing, the lips of it mending into a scar. She put the bottle away, sheathed her pugio and looked at the three others with a raised chin. Decimus and Leah had a few scratches but Tibia had been the one to get the claw stab full blast. But I killed it. -- At the same time as Darren. -- Shut up.

Buzz off? But he was being nice this time, he was actually concerned and thoughtful, isn’t that what Lauren and his half-sisters were always yelling at him to be when he was around other people. Granted he wasn’t very good at it but he was at least trying and it was an easier concept to understand than say personal space.  Yet she blew him off like it was nothing, no hey good job, no we’re all a great team, which by the way they totally were, no nothing. Darren however decided he needed to comment on that. “We make a great team, sure it was only one monster but man you guys are pretty good at stabbing stuff and me and Aqualady killed it at the same time. Bet we could have taken on a whole boatload of those things…speaking of what was that thing?”

‘Ignore the drink that isn’t nectar yet still healed her, ignore the health potion, this isn’t a video game obviously it’s some Roman form of nectar and they found out how to mass produce it so it doesn’t kill you if you drink too much of it.’ Darren tried convincing himself, because let’s be honest here, the Romans get all the cool stuff it wouldn’t be that far-fetched if they somehow figured out how to take the only saving grace Demi-Gods have from monsters and generally not dying and were able to take away the one drawback. A drawback he might add that not even Athena kids had been able to figure out yet! Shaking his head he got back into the conversation….probably a bit too late. “Yea I totally missed everything you guys just said, I was more focused on the fancy drink thing that healed Aqualady and obviously isn’t nectar because she chugged it…” Honesty is good…right?

"That was an incubus," Tiberia said, shouldering her bag so it would hide the tattered, blood-soaked hem of her shirt and the blood in the side of her jeans. "Though you Greeks probably call him an ephialtes. Or so I've been told."

Yes because the moment she had learned about Greeks, she had rushed to the Minerva Capta library in New Rome to do as much research as she could on these new enemies.

"And no, it's not nectar, it's a draught we produce with scrapings of unicorn horns," she said. "I'm gonna go wash my hands now, you guys can do whatever. I'll see you tonight Decimus."

She went out of the theatre room to the bathrooms, hiding the blood as much as she could. Once in the ladies' bathroom, she went straight for the first tap and abundantly washed her hands, watching the blood disappearing into the sink, mixing with the water. She allowed herself to stay a minute there, gather her thoughts, calm her adrenaline down and register the pain that was slowly receding from her side. Finally she simply passed her head under the water, dried it with some paper things meant for drying hands and went back out.

Unicorn horns? Smashed up to make a drink that apparently healed people? “Ew, what are you guys Voldemort or something?” Okay, so not the best comment in the world but it sounded pretty gross and the He Who Must Not be Named drinking the blood of a unicorn in the first book was the first thing that came to his mind when drinking unicorn horns was said. Obviously it wasn’t the same thing but that really didn’t matter to Darren, and he was about to make another comment when Tiberia left, leaving him alone with her brother dearest and his other half of the human vacuum cleaner. “Right then, well it was nice meeting you two I think I’ll head out now and leave you two to well…do whatever it is you two do when you’re in a room alone together.” Grinning he sheathed his dagger and walked out whistling completely off beat to some tune.

He wasn’t sure exactly what he was going to do, as he had kind of forgotten how to get back to the Camp, and there was the fact that he figured he should go apologize or something for throwing popcorn at Tiberia. It was kind of his fault that they got attacked by a monster in the first place and she wouldn’t have that nasty cut that would probably scar if it wasn’t for said monster. So, he walked over to the girl’s bathroom and sat down next to the door drinking his water and waited for her to come out of said bathroom. After about five minutes he had almost fallen asleep, apparently it took females a lot longer to use said bathroom or wash up or whatever she was doing in there but just when his eyes were about to finally close and he to drift off to neverland the door opened once more and out walked Aqua Lady.

He jumped up, luckily the cap was on his water, and started talking. “Hey! Woa don’t freak out!” Hands instinctively going to cover his face “I just wanted to see if you were alright you know? S’wat friends do for each other yea? Well that and I had to say sorry for causing all this trouble for you today, didn’t exactly plan on having a monster attack us back there. Just you getting covered in popcorn maybe. Anyway, I’ll see you later maybe. If I find my way back to your camp or you know you don’t kill me next time we meet and all.” The end was thrown on jokingly but hey, this chick was crazy and he never knew if she really was going to kill him or not, so he started walking away hands behind his head yawning….he’d figure out how to get to camp somehow.

She was actually so surprised at finding someone casually waiting outside the bathroom she almost drew her pugio again. Blame it on combat adrenaline. Anyway, it took her a second to recognize Darren but she still kept a hand on her dagger's hilt.
Aaand there we go, another endless stream of words.

"What makes you even think I'm your friend?" Tiberia finally asked once he was done. "We've met twice, we don't really get along. A monster attack doesn't necessarily change that."

It was wrong though, when fighting with people, she generally felt a kind of bond. Not friendship, more like trust. It was weird. Anyway, she left the theatre behind Darren, going for the bus station. She looked at her transparent reflection in a window, checking no blood stains were showing. She was walking with her back straight and coordinated movements, like a Roman. She just wished Darren wouldn't get the same bus as her -- well, even if he did, she could always listen to music.
