elijah - hephaestus - sixteen
elijah grins ferociously as he waits for the others to arrive. well. cole was here. okay, for one, elijah barely knows cole, but man, a legacy of pluto might be useful to have around. he had exchanged maybe two or three sentences with him, and by now elijah can count him as a friend. possibly. elijahs belongings were all in a rucksack, and a nike sports bag, which he had hung around his left hand, the other holding the backpack in place. (which was, surprise surprise, on his back. woohoo.) he had brought along some simple things; a buttload of candy, (including about ten bags of marshmallows.) a rain poncho (because who knew? it might rain.) an extra pair of sneakers and a sleeping bag. in the nike sports bag he had kept about ten spare shirts, but only three pairs of underwear. oh well. in his shorts' pockets, he had put a can of coke and some sunglasses. (what? his pockets were big.) he whistled, tapping his foot a bit. he munched on a jelly bean happily. then cole came back with the van.
cole - pluto - eighteen
cole doesn't even know why he agreed to do this. well. he was surprised anyways that lakisha had agreed to come along, which made him feel strangely giddy, but why he was doing this with two kids who seemed like they were gonna burst out some silly string and spray him any second now. he felt like a cheesy chaperone who had to take kids' phones away so they could play some 'fun activities' at about 1 o'clock in the morning. just... no.
the van was a simple black vw, with six seats. (three in the front, three in the back.) there had been an even bigger version, but the group had decided to get the one with the bigger trunk. it'd fit more. okay, so, don't judge, but cole really wants to see the stars. like, seriously. not just the ones in the observatory, but like, in free nature. anyways. cole had brought along two seperate tents. they could decide later who went in which one. then he had brought a pile of canned food (mostly baked beans because... baked. freaking. beans.) some camping gear (a small bag of wood, a camping cooker...etc.) and some spare shoes. just in case, okay? and socks. tons of socks. trust cole on this one, you don't want to have wet socks on a trip like this. he assumed the others would just bring whatever else they needed. their weapons and whatever. cole had brought his shield (in necklace form) and his gladius, which was hanging around somewhere in the back. he had stuck a few carving knives on his belt, just for the heck of it.
cole honked once, then grinned at the boy who was gaping wide-mouthed at the van. he rolled down the windows and parked infront of him. "howdy, partner. wanna hop in, and check out what cargo we got?" cole asked and grinned wolfishly.
