Labyrinth waited on the side on the highway in his 1948 Wooden Ford Station wagon. Again one of the many perks of being in his position. He didn't usually use the wagon however, he wanted to impress Lola. He was wearing board shorts and a white tee shirt. It was a sunny day out so he also had on his ray band and had the music playing. It was a nice day and he knew Lola was dying to get out of New Rome, so he had her meet him for a surprise trip. He didn't tell her much other than the fact that she had to meet him at the tunnel at noon. Because he was in the same Chorot as her, Labyrinth had been able to get her a change of clothes and a bathing suit. So she was completely unaware of the plans for today's events.

Labyrinth gave a small smile. Of course, being a Roman he was prepare. Stowed away in the trunk he had his shield and armor, and of course he had his necklace on that turned into his sword. Beneath the Imperial gold gear, in a secrete compartment, Labyrinth also had some weapons for his profession. Lock picks, assault rifles, night vision goggles, sniper rifles, grenades, body armor, and of course: Duck Tape. With it he also had rations that would last two people 5 days. Suffice to say, Labyrinth had them covered. But John was fairly certain that today was going to be the perfect day and nothing was gonna stop them from having said perfect day.

Lola had been waiting for this day for awhile. She had been itching to do something and was tired of training all the time. She wanted to do something fun. Lola had been hanging out in New Rome a bit before she was going to go meet up with Labyrinth. He had a surprise for her apparently and she wasn't sure how she felt about surprises yet. She ended up buying some pastries before she was to leave just for something for them to eat or whatever.

As she made her way across camp she came up to the tunnel. Eventually she saw a vehicle and saw him in it. She was quite stunned and she got a burst of joy and she came skipping up to the car and she opened the passenger door. "This is so cool!" She exclaimed with a smile on her face and she got into the seat closed the door and buckled in. "Do I get to know what we're doing now?" She asked.

Labyrinth had his eyes on the entrance to the tunnel just waiting for Lola to emerge from it. He couldn't get this grin off his face. Maybe it was the sunny day, which no clouds in the sky. Maybe it was the fact he got to spend the rest of his day with Lola. Either way, it was nice to get away from Rome every once and a while (other than his work). He figured a nice beach day would be just what the doctor order for the two. Plus it had been forever since Labyrinth had been to the beach and you know... Lola in a bikini.

Then he saw her. Lola stepped out of the tunnel and skipped towards the car. John couldn't help but laugh a little to himself. She really was absolutely adorable and she made him, the hardened spy who was trained to show no emotions, have butterflies in his stomach. If it was even possible his smile grew even larger as she approached the station wagon. "Hey you" he said as she gets into the car. "This is so cool!" she said, to which he replied with "Yeah she's a beauty huh?" There were few things Labyrinth cherished in this life. Actually, probably only two things/people. They were both with him now. When she questioned where they were going John only smiled. "Not yet, if you figure it out on the way so be it" he said as he too put his seatbelt on and put the wagon in drive. "Let's go!"

    "Vroom Vroom Mother-"
He said but was cut off by a loud truck passing by, and he pulled on to the busy highway.

Lola was excited and a little bit nervous. She was excited to be able to spend the day with Labyrinth and spend that time with him away from camp. Camp just got boring sometimes and so did new Rome. Lola knew that soon there was going to be some sort of festival or carnival or whatever she wanted to go to that. "Where did you get the car anyways?" She asked looking around it.

He then was about to say something and she knew what as a loud truck came by. Then after he pulled out onto the busy highway. "I can't believe how sunny it is today!"

(sorry it's short and crap D:)

Once safely on the highway, passing under the overpass, Labyrinth answered her question. "I don't really get paid for what I do. So when I'm on a mission, I kind of get the spoils if you will" he told her with his eyes on the road. His right hand was at two o'clock on the wheel and his left elbow was rested on the car door with the window down. The cool air rippled trough the car, through his hair which probably messed it up, but he didn't really care. He felt like he could be himself around Lola.

And he liked to let loose and drive fast.

"I can't believe how sunny it is today!" Lola remarked and John couldn't help but agree. It was an absolutely beautiful day out. Not a cloud in the sky and wasn't too hot, nor too cold. Perfect beach weather. "Any guess at where we're going yet?" John asked with a smile as he changed into the left lane in order to pass the slow minivan in front of him.

Lola had been sitting in the front seat and she was watching out the window as they went fast on the highway. Lola then remembered he had always liked to go fast while driving, most people did. No one wanted to be the slow granny that everyone yells at. Lola thought about everything and heard him ask if she knew where they were going yet. Lola studied his attire a little bit wondering if it'd give off any clues.

"hmm" She said thinking a bit out loud, and she was trying to come up to an assumption but wasn't positive. "I don't have any good guesses." She said shaking her head a little bit and laughed. "Hopefully our little outing wont cause for monsters to smell our scent and come tracking us, although I don't think we have much super recognizable godly parents so we should be fine." She said with a smile. It had been quite some time since she had been out last.

Labyrinth gave off a small laugh. Monsters weren't the only problem the two could face today. Labyrinth's notoriety wasn't exactly low right now when it came to his work. Of course there was the always the chance of an enemy or a mercenary identifying. Actually the latter had a greater chance. Labyrinth had quite the price on his head on the bounty list. He had angered many dictators, terrorists, human traffickers, con-men, and basically all around bad people. Personally Labyrinth didn't care about the bounty. He took it as a compliment, a good review of his work. However, if it were to effect Lola's safety, John wouldn't allow it.

"Actually nae salang, my father is Mars." He told her, not in a correcting manner, just telling her. They hadn't had much time to discuss anything to do with the gods. They would've rather talk about what had happened in their own lives, rather than that of the gods. That had much to catch up on, which was one of John's goals for today. "But even if we do run into trouble we have each other's back" he causally said, turning and giving her a wink. "You'll see where we're going soon enough, it should be a fun day."
