    Aria's outfit: https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=HN.608000394128264240&pid=15.1&P=0
    Lilliana's outfit: https://sp.yimg.com/ib/th?id=HN.608000394128264240&pid=15.1&P=0

Aria and Lilliana walked in side by side. Lil branched off her own way, towards the punch, waving at a few fellow cabin mates. Aria was busy analyzing the lights. They were hung in a well designed array all around the room, falling here and there creating a intricate pattern. She didn't really feel like dancing, so she just wandered off towards the chairs near the wall, deciding to sit.

Lilliana sighed. She wanted to dance, but she had no one to do so with.

This wasn't Falko's first dance here, but by the gods, it was certainly one of the best decorated one. Old-fashioned globes dotted the area, casting warm lights on the dancers, glittering backdrops, fabrics in black and golden wrapped around the marble columns for a luxurious effect, the tables garnished with white roses and ostrich feathers... Wow. This was really a Gatsby-style party.
Falko was dressed in a rich blue Charleston dress with a fringe of pearly white beads, the fabric stitched with a sun-shaped art-deco pattern in gold and white. She had white sating gloves going all the way up to her forearms and shimmering aquamarine drop-shaped earrings. Her hair was wavy and pinned up, pulled back at the front with a small 20s-inspired tiaras set too with discrete aquamarines. It had costed her quite something to rent these jewel but she wanted to be perfect for her first Valentine's day with Lindsey.
Falko had come specially all the way from Montreal to be there with her today and accompany her to the dance; nothing sucked more than to be away from your special one on Valentine's Day so she had made her the surprise of knocking at the door of the Nemesis cabin with a bouquet of roses in which she had hidden a Valentine's card.
An now here she was, hand in hand with the world's most gorgeous girl. Seriously, she wondered why people weren't just fighting each other to have a dance with her or even to talk to her. They have nooooo idea what they're missing up on, Falko thought.

She spotted one of the Athena girls, Aria, sitting at a table and smiled at her before turning to Lindsey. "Would you like to dance, or would you rather take a small walk like last time?" she asked.

Hani was nervous, so nervous that he might actually be sweating with in a thin white and dress pants. A couple of the buttons were undone at the top, exposing some of that tan skin and muscles hidden underneath. His shoes were sparkly clean and his hair was combed up thanks to his lucky hair gel. You'd wonder why he was so dressed up, or why he was so nervous.
It was simple. He had a date with a girl and that girl happened to be the beautiful daughter of Aphrodite Cleo. He was so nervous that he wouldn't stop taking giant gulps of his punch (which tasted awful) and checkig the time. She should be here soon, or was he too early? Oh geez now he was worrying.

Ooc: sorry so short haven't posted in a while

Ana, who had snuck out from her cabin, walked into the dance hall with a white dress on and a sparkly crystal headband in her hair. White flats adorned her feet and the little daughter of Ares giggled as she saw the fantastic decorations for the 20's themed dance. Ana grabbed a glass of punch and sat in one of the chairs that were placed around tables off to the side of the dance hall, hoping to see one of her friends here.

Aria smiled back at the girl. No need to be rude. She thought she had seen her around before. What was her name? Fiona? Lap Jack? No.. Flacko! That was it. Her dress flowed around her legs freely, people finally starting to come in. She shouldn't be here. It was social suicide not having a date at a VALENTINE's dance. She sighed, looking back at the lights. They were hung in a really cool way, but some of them needed to be hung higher, or lower, to create the be perfect setting. None the less, Aria kept her mouth shut.

Lilliana fixed her a glass of punch, taking a large sip. Gods she was thirsty, but there was no way is Zeus's name that she was drinking that crap. She sighed, throwing her cup away in the trash. She would have to find something to drink later.

Chin held high like a queen, eyes sweeping over the crowd, Cleopatra stalked in as if she was walking on a runway.
She was amidst a group of six or seven other popular girls, all sparkling in their get-ups, but Cleopatra had (in her opinion) the most gorgeous outfit of all. Her back straight and her chin raised, she walked into the party area in a shimmering vanilla-pink dress cut at mid-thigh and stitched with glittering golden sequins in an art deco pattern. Her long and shapely legs were underlined by white pumps with golden heels, her thick curls pinned up on her neck and held back with a crystal flower headband.
Her make-up was done with care, giving her lids a rich, chocolate brown color with velvet highlights, emphasized by golden eyeliner and luxurious mascara. Her lips were a deep shade of cherry red, discretely spangled with gold, and her cheekbones glistened with apricot blush.
She almost immediately spotted Hani in his tux next to the bar -- her date.

"I'll catch up later, girls," she told them with a smirk and walked over to the handsome surfer boy, swaying her hips. A couple of his buttons were undone at the top, revealing the lines of his muscles. "Hey there," she slowly smirked, looking into his eyes from under her eyelashes.

Derek walked into the dance room, looking around at what the Aphrodite and Venus children had done. He had helped work with growing the roses and what not. Dressed in a classic suit and a top hat, the son of Demeter went toward the bar and ordered a simple Coke. Sighing he moved over to an empty seat and sat down, watching the people party, smiling.

Aria had spotted Cleopatra. The girl really knew how and when to dress. Aria didn't think it was fair. Her father being a clothes designer, now that was cool. On the other hand.... Aria hadn't gotten the memo that you could wear something so shimmery and not so old lady looking.

Lilliana waved to her half brother, Derek. Not necessarily to flag him down and make conversation, but for the simple fact that she had spotted a friendly face.

Post by Lindsey Callaghan 2/13/2015, 3:43 pm

Lindsey would never wear a dress, she disliked them greatly and not even a dance with a particular theme could convince her to don such ridiculous finery. She kept such insightful views to herself however, far be it from her to crush the enjoyment of others.
Unlike most of the girls here, Lindsey elected not to wear a dress, but since she knew that someone made a choice for the rather tasteless dress code. There was nothing that she disliked more than having to dress up in something she believed to be ridiculous. After a hurried bit of research and a swift look around various shop, coupled with cashing in a favour with a friend who possessed great skill with needle and thread she owed something which she found herself happy to wear to such an event.

No one here would have been able to challenge her over it, particularly as it represented both her home island's history but also because it happened to be historically appropriate for the theme. if it weren't for Falko's surprising yet greatly welcome arrival, Lindsey would never have appeared at the dance. She kept a smile on her face, even if it wasn't heart felt. In all honesty Lindsey initially hoped that she could convince her girlfriend to stay at her cabin and watch a film or something, rather than attend to the dance. The ensuing struggle between the two resulted in Lindsey agreeing somewhat reluctantly to go. She had been delighted that Falko was here, her gifts caught her somewhat off guard since well she didn't expect Falko to be here.

Lindsey wore a dress uniform similar to the one worn by the officers of the Royal Irish Fusiliers in the 1920's. Highly appropriate for the date of the theme and it represent her ancestors some of who served as part of the Irish Fusiliers. The stark red jacket contrasted sharply with the smart black trousers with a red strip running up the leg. She enjoyed the comfortable feel of the leather boots.
"I would prefer to talk to you if I am honest Falko." Lindsey replied, not really feeling the desire to dance. "Though if you wanted to dance I suppose we could do a couple."

"I told you Lindsey, we don't have to be here," Falko replied. "I didn't come all the way here to drag you against your will to the dance floor. We can do something entirely different."

As usual, Lindsey looked like a queen. A warrior queen, some kind of an amazon... oh yes she'd definitely have her place at the Amazons'. Falko walked towards the bar and took an apricot macaroon, breaking it in half and giving the biggest part to Lindsey. Wow, now that tasted delicious.

Lindsey ate her share of the macaroon disliking the taste but her face showed no signs of it. Finishing it, she hoped the taste would leave her tongue soon and she offered a shy smile to Falko. "Thanks and we're here now so we might as well spend some time here." She replied. "I honestly wasn't expecting to see you again till the Summer. Did life in the mortal world get boring without me?"

"Life is boring without you, period," she said, swallowing the delicious macaroon half. Mmm, apricot.

She went to sit with her at a table decorated with white roses and an ostrich feather. Stroking it with her fingertips, Falko smiled at Lindsey, happy to be with her again. "So, how's camp? I'm sorry I ran out of drachmas on our last Iris-Message call."

She followed and sat down near Falko, she found all this decoration rather repulsive, it was too extravagant for her tastes. Her room back home was clear evidence that she preferred spartan decoration to anything like this. It simply was not needed. "Well do you remember how before you left I was the unofficial head of the Nemesis Cabin?" Without waiting for a response she swept on. "I am now the official head of the Nemesis Cabin." Despite Lindsey's smile, the title was more honorary than anything, since there were only a handful if that of her half brothers and sisters.

"Wow, congratulations!" Falko beamed, taking her hand. "Now I have to watch my manners even more."

She winked at her as the sky erupted in blue and yellow fireworks, the glittering colors seemingly raining down on them. It was beautiful but maybe Lindsey didn't appreciate that.

When Hani's eyes landed on Cleo, he was sure that his mouth dropped. Like seriously, he knew that his date was going all out but this was too much for him. She looks even more beautiful then when he normally sees her- wait she said something.
"Hey you." He tried his best to sound as cool as possible, sneaking a quick kiss on the cheek. Okay sue him for that. "You look even more beautiful then usual. Should we go get a drink?"

"Oh yes please, I'm terribly thirsty," Cleopatra said, casually taking his arm.

Hani was shy, which was cute in its own way. Stalking over to the bar with him, she took a look at the cocktails.... gin rickey, French 75, White Lady, Southside... they had been pretty thorough about the drinks. After a quick glance at the ingredients (fortunately written in ancient Greek or else her brain would've short-circuited), Cleopatra opted for a French 75. The bartender gave it to her in a rocks glass garnished with a wedge of lime and she took a sip, tasting the tanqueray ten and lemon juice, topped off by champagne. Wow, that was really exquisite.

"What are you taking?" she asked, her throat warming up suddenly because of the alcohol.

Lindsey's cheeks flushed with colour. "No you don't." She leaned forward and whispered in her ear softly, her ginger hair tickling it slightly as it brush the tip. "It just means that I can kick my half brothers and sisters out if we want some time to ourselves." She did not think the fire works where appropriate for this event, since it was love, doves or roses would have made more sense.
But hey the best thing about this wouldn't be the food, the decorations or the fireworks. The best thing about this was the simple fact that her girlfriend was here.

She wrapped an arm around Lindsey's shoulders and looked up at the fireworks, imagining they were meant only for the two of them. Being a party-kind of girl, she really loved this.

Uh-oh, tricky question. If she asked that, it meant she wasn't really enjoying herself and would rather do something else, but if Falko said she liked it, then she'd stay.
Finally she opted for the diplomatic solution.

"Yes, but we can go somewhere else," she smiled, her tiara glittering with the fireworks' light. "What would you like?"

Lindsey knew what she would have liked to do, but she wasn't comfortable in showing much in the way of affection publicly. "Truthfully." She began, her voice quiet so no one but Falko could hopefully hear. "I would like to kiss you but..." She decided to leave the fact that it was far too public for her to feel comfortable unsaid.

Falko leaned forward and kissed her, her nose bumping into her cheek. Lindsey's lips were warm and soft and smooth, and Falko lost herself in the emotion of the moment, closing her eyes and thinking of nothing else than Lindsey, her, and the gliding of their mouths against the other. Finally she drew away and looked at her innocently.

I would prefer it to be in private rather than something public." She whispered, Lindsey never had been one for public displays of affections. She was fine with holding hands but even hugs were a rare occurrence with her.
