[Blood of Olympus Spoilers] Not one for the Party[private]

Alice walked into the dance floor looking nothing like the other campers and she didn't even care today. It was her eighteenths birthday and she dressed to look cute, not to fit the party. Standing by the door the daughter of Mania watched as all the other campers threw back to the Roaring 20's, Alice's favorite clothing era. Her clothes however, were much more modern. The heels of her boots tapped on the floor and she decided on sitting in the mess hall and not in the dance floor part of the party. The diamond tiara on her blonde hair made small shines in the moonlight and she sat at her usual table with Rabid bouncing around the mess hall.So much for a birthday. She said to herself as she remembered all the parties in Wonderland and how nothing could compare to those.

As soon as Alice heard her name she sat straight up and nearly toppled her tiara off her head. How in the name of the Red Crown did someone know it was her birthday? The only one she told was Anamaira because that girl was too sweet for her own good. Ana. As soon as Alice's eyes landed upon the girl with the cake she knew it was a Demeter, the only other person who could possibly know it was her birthday.

the girl stood and walked over to the cake as everyone concluded their singing.Honestly you guys, this is better than anything I could have ever asked for. Thank you all so much. She said as tears began to fill her eyes slightly, blinking them away so her makeup didn't smear.

With one deep breath and exhale, the candles on the cake went out and Alice saw Rabid hop onto the table, sniffing at the cake. She scooped him up and held him far enough away so he didn't ruin the sunset cake. Rabid may have been small but he could cause total chaos if he wanted to do so, Alice knew that from personal experience in the orphanage.

Alice giggled as she took the piece and, being as lady like as she could, took a giant piece and ate it. The others laughed and Alice beamed as the delicious flavors hit her tongue.Yummy! Fresh strawberries!The daughter of mania exclaimed after her bite was done. She then proceeded to eat the rest of her cake with Rabid nibbling at it ever so often.

Alice giggled at the mention of Ana. She loved that girl to pieces and there was no reason not to. For a daughter of Ares she was more like the Demeter kids than anything.I kinda figured, shes the only one that knows about my birthday. Well, besides now. She smiled as she fixed her tiara on her head. It may not have been blood red and black but it felt good to have the weight there all the same.
