Can You Heal the Dead? Empty Can You Heal the Dead?

Richard couldn't believe what he just saw. His girlfriend, kissing Damien! He knew that her mother, Aurora, was cursed by Venus so that every male she saw she fell for, but he had no idea that the curse would go on to her demigod children. Right now he felt hurt, lost, and some need for healing. Emotional healing. Mental healing. He sore his purple Camp Jupiter t-shirt along with a pair of black shorts. The only reason he was at the stables were to get away from the thought of Laure. Anything was better than thinking about her. Anything.

Bri walked into the stables, it was her turn today to clean them. She didn't like cleaning the stables at all, but it was something that had to be done. She wore a red striped button-up shirt and jean shorts, looking a bit like a cowgirl. She looked around, at the horses and smelling the smell that haunted her in her dreams. She noticed a boy there, and just studied him for a moment. She then got the cleaning supplies and went to get to work.

The son of Letus worked on the first stable, leading out the black horse that was stationed there. Even this was better than laying eyes on...her. Richard noticed a girl walk in, but didn't knowledge her presence. The last thing on his mind right now was girls. He pulled the wheelbarrow from behind the stables as well as picking up a shovel on his way back to the pen. Clearing his throat, he started to shovel the horse's feces out.

Bri continued this, the entire time thinking about how disgusting this was. They could hire professionals or anything, like, what? Were there such things as stable cleaners? Stable boys/girls? She rolled her eyes at the thought. She looked at the guy there, but usually didn't start up conversations unless she was acknowledged, and didn't plan on changing that now. Besides, she was sure he didn't want bothered.

Richard was almost finished with his stable when horse decided to come back in the stable and take a dump. He lifted his head up to the ceiling saying, "This..this is my life isn't it? Or should I be looking down at you, father." With that, he stared down at the floor with scattered pieces of straw on it. Once again he led the horse out, but this time tying it to one of the rails. Richard rushed back in and scooped the mess up, tossing it in the wheelbarrow.

"This is all of our lives. One minute we're fighting monsters, the next we get to clean up horse doo doo." She smirked. "Why are you looking down there? Underworld god parent?" she raised an eyebrow.

Richard smiled slightly and nodded his head. "Yeah, I guess you're right." He glanced over at her, nodding again. "Yep, Letus." He exhaled and continued cleaning. "Who's your god parent?" He asked her

The mechanical giant frog hopped into the stables, causing the eagles to caw chaotically. The poison coating its limbs was not doing the straw any harm, but it would make anyone's skin (mortal, demigod, monster) get covered in painful blisters. Its glowing eyes zoomed in on the dark-haired demigod and it opened its mouth, a metallic tongue unfolding quickly and ready to pierce him through the chest.

Xavier was limping by the stables, now being a little more cautious to avoid the elephant area of the stables. And watch with a near level of paranoia about weasels in the area. He was fiddling with a package of assorted fireworks he had gotten on sale following the fourth of July. He had a great plan to take them apart and inspect the contents, see if he could improve and add some flair to it to make some more Roman themed fireworks for celebrations.

Something caught Xavier's eye as he was walking. A metallic frog? Covered in oil? The legacy probatio tilted his head like a curious dog. He followed it, moving a little faster, though limping heavier because of the prosthetic leg. The Roman noticed that there was another person in the stables, and that the Frog was going right for it. Given that the frog looked evil, Xavier wasn't inclined let the thing get to the other Roman. But he didn't think attacking it with a hammer would work either.

Pulling a lighter from his pocket, Xavier decided to pull a hail mary and distract the frog at least. He tore into the package a little more fiecely and lit as many fuses as he could find for the smoke bombs, mortars and mines before throwing it under the Frog. "MOVE!" He yelled, hoping that the Roman would get the idea and...well, move. Quickly. With great haste.

Richard heard the eagles fly about, but didn't think anything of it. He just assumed that they saw a squirrel or something. That was until he felt vibrations coming up from the ground to his body. He turned his slowly and froze. "Son of bitc#." He gasped slightly and jumped into the clean stall just before the tongue struck his body. If it wasn't for that limping Roman, Richard would be dead.

He cursed himself for leaving his imperial gold duel swords at his bunk in the first cohort before hearing what sounded like fireworks sounding off. That guy...what was his name? Trevor? Charles? No, no! Xavier!

The stables erupted in streaks of red and flashes of white and blue. Booms and high-pitched hisses echoed around and the frog was propelled to the ceiling. More bangs and fireworks erupted, accompanied by blinding bursts of color and heat. When it all calmed down, the frog was still somewhere in the ceiling, the underside of his body damaged: it had lost a pincer and a leg, and some of his cameras were dysfunctional. However it wasn't done yet and rearranged itself into the shape of an overgrown rat and jumped straight at Xavier, its mouth opening to three rows of sharp bronze teeth.

Xavier made a sound that kinda sounded like "eep" as the frog turned into a rat and charged him. He fell back and kicked at the rat. When the rat's mouth was over his leg the probatio flinched, then realized that he wasn't hurt. He had kicked with his prosthetic leg, and so far only that had been bitten. He frantically twisted his leg a little, then pulled his stump out of the hollow leg and moved back frantically.

He pulled his hammer and tried to smash the little rat on the nose.

After the fireworks went off, Richard jumped to his feet and stood behind the robo-frog that had Xavier's leg in its mouth. "Oh sh!t..." He mumbled before hovering his hands over the ground, summoning two spirit warriors. "Attack that fake robot frog!" The son of Letus commanded. The two warriors looked at each other before rushing over to the imperial gold frog and beating on its head with their gladius.

The robot gnawed at the prosthetic leg before realizing the demigod was getting away. Giving a metallic hiss, it rushed forward only to receive a hammer in the snout. It drew back, then got another smack on the head. Its infrared cameras gave him images of glowing blue and green humanoid shapes behind him brandishing swords and hitting him over the head with it.
It squealed and let out a stream of fire at them, at the demigods, at the eagles, at everything, then raced out the door.
