A blue-grey acoustic guitar sits propped against a wall beside the bed. A metal safe sits on an empty bedside table. Underneath the bed, a small duffel bag sits empty. Blankets cover all sides of the bed, obscurring it from view. Two chargers snake up onto the mattress, where a laptop lay shut. On the top bunk, an array of books lay scattered along the sheets, mostly how-tos, along with a black backpack, packed to the brim and shut closed, as if prepared to leave. There are no pictures or posters.
