    Terra Nova {remake} Empty Terra Nova {remake}

Post by The Cheshire Cat 8/23/2015, 7:41 pm

    Terra Nova {remake} Wk0jy9

Name: Terra Lysa Nova. She has warmed up to the nickname Ter but prefers to be called by her first name.

    Gender: Female

Mortal Parent: Draco Carson Nova. Draco lived in Iceland all his life and has a fantastic personality so much so that he grew accustomed to throwing parties all the time. The family wasn’t super well off but they weren’t hurting for money and when he threw a party, it was one to remember till the next time it happened.

    God Parent: Hebe-Goddess of youth

Date of Birth: Terra was born on the twenty-fifth of August in the year 1996 making her eighteen years old about to turn nineteen.

    Place of Birth: Ólafsvík, Iceland

Hometown/Last Residence: New York City, New York

Race/ethnicity: Terra is half god, giving her the demigod aspect of her lifestyle, and the other half of her is pure Icelandic in heritage.

Accent: Even after living abroad for a good portion of her life, Terra retained no accent from her time in Iceland due to her studying English for so long and trying so hard to fit in.

Skin Tone: Terra’s skin is a soft peachy pale color.

    Eye Color: Emerald Green

    Hair Color: Light Earthen Brown

    Hair Length: 22 inches

    Height: 5 foot 7 inches

    Weight: 145 pounds

Body Type: Terra is neither super thin nor super muscular either. Due to her climbing love she maintains a decent amount of muscle mass that she has built up over the years and also due to her weapon being a larger hammer.

Appearance: Terra has an interesting set of body modifications to herself that she gained when she asked her father on her sixteenth birthday, which he obliged to. She has a naval piercing, tongue piercing, nose piercing and a large cherry blossom branch tattoo that spans from her left hip up to just below her back shoulder blade on the same side. Usually she wears very hipster like clothes but really doesn't have a set style of clothing that she wears all the time.
    Spoiler:

Weapon: Terra wields six celestial bronze throwing knives which she keeps on a belt that is tilted on her hip as well as a three foot, celestial bronze war hammer with an attached strap that she uses to keep it slung over herself and onto her back much like how a bow would be stashed. These weapons were bound to her and forged for her once she entered camp and wanted to be a little different with weapons choice. The knives return to her when she throws all of them or had finished using them. The hammer is summoned whenever and if it is thrown will come back to her when she resummons it.
    Spoiler:

Armor: Terra;s armor is made out of an excellent blend of metals to keep it lightweight and strong as possible. The main color is a cream or silver while it is outlined in a gold color. She also has a few sections of fabric that are crimson with gold edges and look gorgeous in the sunlight. She doesn’t wear the armor too often considering she only duels in the arena at camp and doesn’t feel the need to. She honestly avoids it as best she can.
    Spoiler:

Pet(s): Terra owns an Alaskan Malamute female named Phoebe.
    Spoiler:

Skills/Talents: Terra is an amazing winter sports athlete. She would snowboard and ski at any time she could find the time. She is also an excellent climber and even found a way to make a safe haven of sorts in a tree without harming it with nails and planks of wood.

Flaws: Sometimes, due to her love of books, she can seem distant and almost lost. From reading all the books she has her creative side is large and she gets lost in daydreams so easily it’s not a good thing, especially when she starts day dreaming in the middle of a fight of duel. She also suffers bag headaches during random parts of the day and usually takes some tylenol to combat them but will often times ignore them as best she can and not take any medication to help relieve the pain. Terra's eyes are also gods awful. She wears prescription glasses and refuses to wear her contacts unless it's a special occasion or a dance. Due to her being distant she has a low tolerance for people who don't listen and those who are just rude in general. She also has a hard time telling when her stories are too much and too long.

Strengths: Terra is a great climber and knife thrower due to her practicing all the time at camp when she isn't otherwise occupied with drawing or reading.

Weaknesses: One of the amusing things about Terra is how bad she is at archery but how spot on she can throw her knives.

Likes: Terra loves many things in life but there are very few that she truly loves, one of those things being books and the other being drawing.

Dislikes: Terra doesn’t really like being grounded for too long, and by that I mean being on the ground for more than she can. Be it in a tree or just on a taller bench type place she will find just about anything she can in order to feel higher up.

Fears: Terra is deathly afraid of sharks and due to that is cautious of water and swimming farther than a few yards away from shore.

Personality: Terra, not much unlike her name, is very down to earth and loves a good laugh. She will try her best to train and help the other campers in training as well. She finds the joy in most anything and always tries to put a positive spin on unlikely scenarios. In doing so she sometimes seems overly happy about life itself and the simple things that most people would find boring. Her heart is as vast as an ocean as is her mind. She is a total bookworm and can mostly be seen with a book in her hand or in her bag.

    Abilities: none

    Powers: none

Social Status: Terra wasn’t exactly a popular girl in school by any means. She didn’t date, she didn’t talk unless she was spoken too and it didn’t bother her at all. She made amazing grades and could go to any college she wanted to if she hadn’t ended up moving to camp to stay safe.

Summer or Year Rounder: Terra is a year round camper with the exception of some of the major holidays and on occasion her birthday, in which she goes back to Iceland to celebrate with her father and family since he moved back there after earning a promotion in his business.

Years at Camp: Terra has been attending camp for two years, almost three now.

Life Before Camp: Terra, ever since she was small, was picked on by the school kids for her name being another name for earth and the ground. She would spend most days in a tree by herself with her books and own thoughts. As she grew she just let herself gain as much knowledge as she could and teach others, like her father told her to do all the time. When she was fourteen, Draco and Terra took a trip to New York City for an interview that Draco was applying for, seeing as it was better than what he was doing at the time. After getting the job and moving everything from Iceland to the busy city of New York, Terra was left alone most days and without a single friend. Then she met Marcus. Marcus was a boy a year older than her in school and age and the two clicked instantly. Marcus would tell mythological greek stories to younger Terra as if they were real.

When Terra turned sixteen something happened, something only Marcus could suspect. On her walk home from a local coffee shop she was pulled into an alley by a demon-like creature who kept asking who was asking why she kept hiding from them. Not knowing at all what the creature was talking about Terra panicked and shouted as loud as she could. That's where Marcus came into play. He charged down the alley way and knocked one of the two creatures away from her. He shouted for her to meet him at the park a few blocks away while he handled these guys. Listening to her best friend and running scared things started to become more vivid in her mind the main one being, Marcus had goat legs now. When she reached the park she climbed the tallest tree she could but stayed low enough for Marcus to find her when he arrived.

Time ticked on and she started to get more and more worried about whether or not Marcus made it out from the fight. When she heard her name though she panicked and then relaxed once she saw her friend with various gashes that were bleeding at various speeds but he wrapped them tight as best he could. He got her down from the tree and after a long hug and a few tears from her green eyes Marcus started to quickly tell her what was going on and what was going to have to happen in order for her to stay safe. Following everything Marcus had told her , Terra was rushed home and packed her bags as fast and efficiently as she could while Marcus told her father what was going on. Draco, though he was very upset, let him daughter go on the condition that he was allowed to take her to the entrance to the camp.

Everyone jumping into Draco's Mercedes Benz he peeled out of the garage and started towards Long Island. Draco started telling Terra all about her mother and what she was like. He told her that she looked almost exactly like her mother and how he had met her when he went on a skiing trip he went on during a trip for his old work. The two hit it off from the start and he eventually fell in love. A few years after they started talking he was told her mother was pregnant with a daughter, their daughter. Nine months after she told him, Terra Lysa Nova was brought into the world and her mother left right after she was born.

Once the story was over Terra was in slight tears but loved knowing about her mother. Draco pulled over on the side of the road and everyone got out of the car. Giving his daughter her luggage the father and daughter shared one last embrace before Terra and Marcus walked through the grass and passed through large wooden arch. When she looked at the words on the top they started to shake and move, arranging them in the words Camp Half Blood.

Role-playing Example: Terra walked through the camp grounds with Phoebe by her side, her belongings under her arm and Calla walking along with her. The combat boots left small foot prints in the dirt and her glasses reflected some of the late afternoon light. With her beats by Dre hanging around her neck and her many bracelets on her wrists she was glad to have company of more than just Phoebe this time. Walking to the woods and not even looking back the daughter of Hebe broke into a run and grinned as she could feel her necklace along her collarbone and skidded to a halt in front of a tall old oak tree.

The branches, though low hanging, were strong and well laid out. It was a gorgeous tree and the branches made a small alcove in the center where a tarp, blanket and pillows were laid out and kept tidy. Well, welcome. Terra grinned as she climbed up into the tree and nestled into her nest looking home. Pulling out her iPhone and turning on some instrumental music she let her eyes closed and let out a nice sigh of happiness, breathing in the smell of the summer forest. Phoebe laid on the ground a few feet below and barked softly in happiness at the young woman.

    Notes: none

I think you'll need a bit more for her appearance, such as her casual clothing.

From what I can see, the Thor-like hammer thing wasn't approved in her original form. Where did she get it, or was it made by herself or someone else? Or was it a gift from god parent she got somewhere along the line?

Please add a physical flaw. I don't think bad eyesight counts. Examples are bushy eyebrows, a scar that she dislikes on her face, etc. If you wanna go with eyes, I'd suggest maybe slightly cross-eyed or the sort.

In her history, it was said that Marcus made out of the monster fight basically unscathed. No. Sorry, but there's no realism there. Also, what were the monsters?

Detailed Forms are required RP Examples.

You didn't answer the hammer question. And the knives, too, are they enchanted or..?

You edited the huge chunk out of your history and might want to fill some of that back in. Your second paragraph barely makes sense now.

The physical flaw is a weakness; I asked both Morgan and Manda and they said weakness. So, yeah, please add a physical flaw.

I'm gonna poke my head in here and ask a question, too: What kinds of metals is her armor made of? Where did she get it from?
