Jaise Moran, Child of Nyx Empty Jaise Moran, Child of Nyx

Post by ashtynphoenix 9/23/2015, 3:48 am

    Name: Jaise Moran
    Gender: Genderfluid
    Mortal Parent: Aidan Moran
God Parent: Nyx, goddess of night
Date of Birth: December 16th, 1999
Place of Birth: Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland
Hometown/Last Residence: Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland
    Race/ethnicity: Irish caucasian
    Accent: Navan Irish accent
    Skin Tone: Pale white
Eye Color: Bright green, almost an emerald colour
Hair Color: Dyed crimson red, naturally raven black
Hair Length:Short, goes down to their cheekbones in a fringe parted and shaped to the left
    Height: 5'11"
    Weight: 130lbs
    Body Type: Slender
Appearance: Jaise is a slender person, with a slight inward curve to their waist. They have a smattering of freckles on their snow-coloured face, and unnaturally long eyelashes to compliment their baby-face. In battle, their stance is usually quite guarded, and they hold their weapon of choice in their left hand, blade pointing downwards, as they find they can get much more force through with a back-handed left swing. They usually have a sassy smirk on their face, and always looks as if they know something nobody else does.
    Weapon: Celestial bronze dagger
Armor: Typically goes without, but when needed, will use their light celestial bronze chestplate and helm.
    Pet(s): A small black-feathered Dusky Barn Owl
Skills/Talents: They are quite skilled at art, and fairly accomplished in the sense that they can play guitar, violin, ukulele, bass guitar, drums, and are decent at singing. Also, they're quick on their feet, which can come in handy in combat. They can easily assist in calming people down during stressful situations, and panic/anxiety attacks.
Flaws: Their social skills are severely lacking, and they're quick with their mouth, sending insults and sarcastic comments that often lead to trouble. Also, they have a habit of becoming too attached to people and quickly pushing people away as a result, often hurting others. As a super special side bonus, they're extremely near-sighted, so if they don't have their contacts in, they're basically useless.
Strengths: Jaise is overwhelmingly empathetic, creating a sense of trust when someone is near them, even when it comes to Ares kids. Also, they have a history of dealing with their father's depression and anxiety, so they are extremely capable of helping someone when they're feeling down or overly anxious. Sass and sarcasm can be a bad thing, but usually, this is how they make friends, by using snarky humour and bad jokes. Also, a lot of people see their "Irish side", meaning that they're usually overwhelmingly fun and friendly, even going so far as to insult themself as an attempt to be funny.
Weaknesses: As fun and friendly as Jaise is, they're generally lonely, caused by bullying and pushing people away, and forming a bubble of solitude around themself. In stressful and dangerous situations, they tend to automatically switch to their sass, which usually gets them in lots of trouble, especially when they're dealing with some form of authority.
Likes: Nighttime, nighttime creatures, music, art, anime
Dislikes: Mornings, close-minded people, white-sauce pasta
    Fears: Heights, fire
Personality: Jaise is a sarcastic, bubbly, artistic person. They're genderfluid, and will get a tad bit offended if you choose not to use their preferred pronouns, which are they/them. When it comes to people, they're quite sarcastic and rarely opens up to people. Their fear of fire comes from the fact that they lost their father in a fire, which led them to being a bit depressed in their recent years. They appear as quite bubbly and joyful, but underneath, they're tired and sad. They're described as a night owl, preferring to be up all night, rather than being up in the daytime. Their love of night also factors in their loneliness.
Abilities: During the nighttime, their powers become increased by 15%. They can also communicate with ravens and owls at will. At night, they become increasingly hard to find, especially when they hold their breath.
Powers: For up to 3 posts, Jaise can become invisible, but only at night. This takes 5 posts to regenerate, and they can heal wounds up to a small fracture at night, but this causes them to become extremely tired the more they use this power. They can heal themselves or others up to 5 times a night before they can't use it any more. Any more attempts to use this power after 5 times will cause them to go unconscious.
Social Status: Before CHB, Jaise was an extreme loner, and hardly ever attended school, as they needed to take care of their father, whom was unstable, and subject to slightly suicidal tendencies.
Summer or Year Rounder: Year rounder, as their father passed and can no longer watch after Jaise.
    Years at Camp: None
Life Before Camp: Before Camp Half-Blood, Jaise lived in a small town called Navan, which was two hours outside of Dublin, Ireland. They were born and raised in another small town by the name of Mullingar. They lived there with their father, Aidan, until Jaise was 13. They moved to Navan after an attack of what Jaise could only describe as a monster. This attack was one of the events that resulted in their father's deteriorating mental state. Jaise had never known a mother, and when asking their father, he replied with "She was a goddess." Jaise took this figuratively, thinking that he meant she was beautiful. After Jaise and their father moved to Navan, they took to staying home to look after their father, leaving the house only to work to earn money to pay bills and buy necessities. They were never bothered by another monster until a few months after Jaise turned 15, when one of the few times they attended school, a monster attacked their father, burning the house down, their father in it. After receiving the news of their father's death, they were approached by a satyr named Liyan, who took them to Camp Half-Blood, explaining that they were a demigod.
Role-playing Example: Jaise rushed forward to attack the hellhound that was sneaking up on their friend Alex. "Alex, behind you!" Jaise shouted as they neared the hellhound. Seeing that they weren't going to reach the giant flaming dog before it reached Alex, they stopped, took careful aim, and with a flick of their wrist, sent their celestial bronze dagger flying towards the hellhound. Jaise sprinted to reach the hellhound, grinning in small victory as the dagger embedded itself deep into the back of the hound's neck, reducing it to ashes immediately. Not taking a moment to celebrate, Jaise retrieved their dagger from the hellhound ashes and scouted the area quickly. Spying an injured daughter of Ares, they ran to her side. They quickly assessed the damage to the girl's body, determining that it was a simple enough injury to be able to heal. Closing their eyes, they placed their hands on her abdomen and shoulder, the two areas that needed most healing. "Nyx, please grant me strength so I can heal this child of Ares." Jaise mumbled. A pale light shone from their eyes and fingertips, slowly healing the girl's injuries. As the light stopped shining, Jaise slumped over, breathing heavily and attempting to catch their breath. "Go... fight..." Jaise said to the girl, as they stood up shakily. Jaise placed their dagger in the thigh sheath that someone from the Hephaesteus cabin made for them, and slunk shakily to a tree, climbing it and sitting on a tree bough, resting for a few minutes to regain enough energy to go back into battle.

    Hey there,

Hate to break it to you, but we do not allow Nyx as a godparent due to the fact that she is a primordial. Please choose a non-primordial godparent.
