    Nathan Loranger Empty Nathan Loranger

Post by SuperNickanger 11/16/2015, 1:45 pm

    Name: Nathan Loranger

    Age: 17

    Gender: Male

    Eyes: Grey

    Hair: Dark brown, almost Black.

    Height: 5'7''

Body Type: Little less then average, but wouldn't be something to consider thin, but mostly from not getting enough to eat rather than a healthy choice of food.  He stands lankly,  but when sitting down or stationed, he assumes a wider stance to asserts dominance when focused.  He's not very muscular, mostly Due to the fact he doesn't get out much, and isn't in the most physically  fit form, but probably had the potential to if he didn't sit at a desk all day.
Skin Color: pasty white and Pale, due to the lack of going out for long periods of time.

    God Parent: Athena

Mortal Parent: Nathan's father William Loranger, was a lawyer living in the city of Los Angels. He was a smart, and intelligent man, known for always picking out small details and exploiting them to the fullest in a court case. He has raised Nathan with the idea that anything that can be used should, and even the small things can make a big difference. As Nathan grew up, the connection between his father began to grow more distant as his client list began to grow more and more.
Country of Origin: United states, California.

Talents: Nathan always had a way with finesse in his hands. With his father having a busy schedule, Nathan would spend a majority of his time playing a wide range of games, spanning through different types of genres . If he wasn't at a local shop playing card and bored games, he was at home or in a cyber cafe' to play a game online. However, Nathan had a particular attention to detail and makes strategy one of his strongest styles of play. Along with his ability to think well in set ruled conditions, Nathan speaks confidently when confronted within game scenarios, as he believes that if you can't play your way out of a situation, you should probably learn how to talk your way out of it.

Weapon**: Nathan isn't much of a weapon's guy, as he feels physical confrontation isn't his best form to deal with bad situation, but if he ever was in one, his weapon of choice would come down to either a bow and arrow, or a dagger made of celestial bronze, to make for a much faster and tactical advanced battle.

Personality: Although Nathan may come off as a smart kid when it comes to games, anything beyond a game bored and a LCD screen makes it seem like he's a completely different person. Nathan never had many friends at school, and the few that he did only seemed to be around when they were playing something, when he felt at his absolute best. He has trouble having conversation's with people when he's not in game, because he feels that it's almost a waste of time, and there's no victory to have to have a regular conversation. Regardless of being a child of Athena, information is only useful to him when it is something that he can use, rather than something he read out of a history text book, if he could read it at all. He wasn't very good in school either, always keeping to himself in the back, and would be fiddling with his phone under the desk playing another game on his phone. You can almost say that he's addicted to it. When he is confronted with situations to deal with other's that he doesn't want to, he still attempts to act as nice as possible, hoping not to offend anyone, and keep any controversial idea's to himself, believing if any social disruption were to happen, he wouldn't have an enemy. Because of his father being so busy, he spends most of his days at home alone, waiting for his father to return and have dinner. For the most part, he is independent, but efficient.

Flaws: Nathan may strive at games, but anything past that is very difficult for him. Though his plans in these games can be full proof, there is a sense of over confidence that he expresses when He's in a good position. For him to be fully committed to something, there must be an end goal to reach, and if he doesn't feel that it is worth his time, he won't give it his all. Nathan will never back down from a challenge on a game. Dares and bets are not the same thing as a game, so he always sets rules and conditions to make it so, Because he believes that if there are rules, then winning should be easier. This can lead to his downfall however, as he will never turn down the challenge, and will almost always get him into trouble.

Abilities (must relate to god parent; optional): Nathan has the ability to process information and outcomes in his head much faster than the average person. It only took Nathan seconds to formulate a counter play move that a regular person would need to realization in a couple minutes. Nathan can calculate almost all possibilities in his head in a vast short amount of time, and is able to pick from the most effective and efficient strategy out of all of them, all before moving his hand to carry out the action. Athenian kids were always known for strategist and quick thinking, But Nathan did it faster, just not exactly for the most practical reasons.

Life Before Camp*: He wasn't really great at school, always keeping a D+ average, and didn't have many friends. His father was always busy with work, and always kept to himself when talking to him recently. In real life, he wasn't much, but he made a name for himself in a handful of gaming communities, usually securing himself a top spot on top of the leader boards. He had a few raid groups in some MMO's he played, and had a team to play with in more team oriented games, along with top rank scores in almost any game you can think of. Nathan's presence online far surpassed his real life achievement's, but to him, that was enough to be happy with. It wasn't until one day at a cyber cafe' did a particular individual stroll in and gave him a chill up his spine. The image flickered between an overweight thin hair guy wearing a blizzard t-shirt to an ogre that probably looked just as bad. Nathan was able to escape, only to be greeted by a Kid with a silly walk outside, warning him that he has to leave right now. Refusing to believe such crazy circumstances, he ties to get away, but the kid follows swiftly (weird for a kid with a limp) trying to explain as fast as he can. He say's to Nathan that his online presence has become way to intense. Nathan's been broadcasting his demi-god signal for months, but game servers sort of send it all over the place, so he's been harder to track, but both monsters and saytr's have finally picked up on his location. A group of ogres fell into nathan's view as he neared the entrance to his home, and he knew that he was in danger, and not even his home was safe. Nathan wanted to believe that this was some kind of joke, but He ran all of the possibilities in his head, and knew that his only chance for not getting into any more trouble was to follow this kid with a weird walk. The kid assured him safety, and reassured himself at camp half blood, saying goodbye to all his hard work and top leader board scores.

RP Example*: Nathan sat at the end of a table in the mess hall just after everyone began to leave, fiddling with an old game-boy Advance in his hands. His finger's twitched against the buttons on the small device very lightly, but very accurately, as it beeped and hummed in harmony. He smirked as the screen flashed the victory screen, and looked off to the side, watching his brother's and sister's, along with his other camp mates stroll around the common ground, converting about what ever the gods know what. He sighed, sliding his game-boy into his pocket as the battery began to die and stretched, and dragged himself out his seat, groaning as if he hadn't stood up in hours. He dreaded knowing he had to socialize now, but all he had to do was make it past the common area back to his cabin, and ready himself to deny the invitations to the lake where most kids go after dinner.

He eye'd around, taking not of every camper in sight, looking for the fastest, shortest, and most efficient way back to his cabin with less social interaction as possible. His mouth curled into a smirk again, thinking to himself. "I could just wait...or maybe I can just dash? nah, to much attention... maybe just casually walk with those guys..? heh..."

He shook his head moaning in dismay. why wouldn't stuff like this have rules? rules would just make this so much easier.

He took one step out of the mess hall, feeling the chill role up his spine as he heard the worst thing possible to him at that momment.

    "Nathan!"

    Great. attention.

For the weapon, even if he doesn't have one yet, what sort of weapon will he use?

I was thinking somewhere along the lines of either a bow (to use for tactical purposes) or a small dagger since dirrect combat probably isn't going to be his strongest strong suit.

For his body type -- do you mean less than average weight? Height?

"Causation" isn't a skin color, either.

You'll need to edit in details about his weapon into the form -- this is so we know that you won't be trying to get away with having some god gift or some ridiculous power added on to it.

How much faster is he at processing things than the "average" person?

    LBC:
    - Add some more to this section. 1-2 sentences, perhaps elaborating more on his love for games, would suffice.
    - How did the satyr find him? How was Nathan convinced to follow him to camp? If a random guy shows up to tell me we had to leave right now and go off to some magical place, I'd be a little weirded out even if there was an equally weird guy inside.

Could you add the fact that the weapons would be a Celestial bronze dagger, or celestial bronze tipped arrows for the bow? Minor I know, but just for the sake of things.
