Life Before Camp*:
As a young child, Ariana seemed to have an almost perfect life. She grew up in Sheffield, England, where she lived with only her father, who adored her. She excelled in school and had to skip a grade. Despite this, she still managed to have friends. However, when she was eleven, her father made a sudden (in her mind) decision to move to a small town in New York. After uprooting her entire life, she ended up in a school where other students constantly tormented her for being younger, smaller, and smarter than the others. When she was attacked by a hellhound on her way home from the library, she managed to distract it for long enough to run away. After this, her father explained the truth about her mother and told her about camp, which her mother had explained before leaving. She was brought to camp at the age of 12, with not much trouble other than a few insignificant attacks by weak monsters along the way, which they were able to escape, but not kill.
RP Example*:
After a long day of training, Ariana sat on her bed; reading quietly and hoping no one would notice her. It had been a tiring day, full of social interactions, and she needed to recharge by spending some time alone. It was hard to come by privacy in a crowded camp, but books allowed her to escape, at least for a short period of time. She flipped through the pages at a quick pace, smiling to herself at the more interesting or exciting plot points.
As she came to the end of the book, Ariana closed it, setting it down on her bed. She then looked up, noticing the people around her for the first time that night. Her eyes skirted around the room, taking in what everyone was doing, and she decided to start another book before she had to go to bed.
Any notes about your characters: She's a morning person who has trouble staying up late. She does not have dyslexia.
