David's bunk

David was glad to find his bunk in the same state as he'd left it last summer. The harpies had cleaned it up a little -- and good thing they did, he wouldn't have liked sleeping in eight months old food wrappers -- but most of it hadn't changed. The pictures, the pride flag. Even the post-it from a friend about training still hung there.
David pushed his bags under the bed and let himself drop on the mattress, sweeping through the cabin with his eyes. Damn it felt good to be back. This was, to him, what home was supposed to be like when he was older: every corner packed with learning resources, top tech, and plenty of weapons. He was excited to see all of his friends again, and wondered if any new siblings had joined the ranks of cabin #6. But, since most campers hadn't arrived yet for the summer session, he'd have to wait a litte to find out. In the meantime, how about a walk around camp?
