Myles Lockley - Aristaeus (WIP) 7e41c51348c991f15c3b0312f248ae598161a9fa

    Myles Lockley

    Name: Myles Lawrence Lockley

    Gender: Male

    Mortal Parent: Stefanie Lockley

God Parent: Aristaeus, Greek god of... many things. Notably animal husbandry, beekeeping, cheesemaking, honey products, so on and so forth.

Date of Birth: The fifth of May, 2007.

    Place of Birth: Atlanta, Georgia.

Hometown/Last Residence: Same as his birthplace.

    Race/ethnicity: African American.

Accent: Very lightly southern. It's only noticeable if you're listening too hard.

Skin Tone: Light brown, almost like a milk chocolate.

    Eye Color: Brown.

Hair Color: A very light brown. In some lights, almost blonde.

Hair Length: Short, with lots of shrinkage.

    Height: 6 feet even. (1.8288m)

    Weight: 160 pounds. (72.5748kg)

Body Type: Deceptively toned. He's got a 6 pack if you'd believe it.

Appearance: In appearance, Myles is very laid back. He likes tank tops and sweatpants, and you'll rarely ever see him dress up beyond what's necessary. He likes to get his hands, and every other body part for that matter, fairly dirty. All of his clothes are items he's comfortable with being destroyed. He owns a solid 3 pairs of shoes, 2 of which have visible holes. That doesn't stop him in the slightest from wearing them, although maybe it should.

Weapon: A standard issue Celestial bronze xiphos.

Armor: Standard issue Bronze breastplate with leather straps. He also wears greaves for shin protection, and owns a hoplon but forgets to use it.

Pet(s): Myles doesn't keep "pets", per se, but he has lots of animals friends. His closest is Archibald, or Arty, an American Goldfinch.

Skills/Talents: Myles is extremely handy. His father is a rustic god, and definitely one of the most useful. He can make cheese, propagate plants and herbs, keep bees, patch wounds on both humans and animals, hunt, and produce some damn good honeymead.

Flaws: Myles hates to feel purposeless and underutilized. He feels as though he always has to have something to do, and he always wants to help or offer his services even when they aren't needed. He carries a lot of self-doubt, because he knows he can do so much and really doesn't know if he can do it all. He can be insecure in a lot of ways, and very headstrong in a lot of others. He hates being wrong in situations where he feels he should be right, and it'll take a lot for him to admit it. He can also come off as cocky or braggadocios, simply because he is acutely aware of just how good he is at his areas of expertise.

Strengths: Myles is very loyal, honest, and amazing at what he does. He can come off blunt, but it's only because he mostly has your best interest at heart and knows what's best for you. He's very quick-witted and can think of solutions to problems on the fly.

Weaknesses: Myles likes to avoid conflict, and by extension, is not much good in a fight. Due to his inherent non-confrontational nature, he can come off as a pushover. He's not usually one to speak up for himself unless it's absolutely necessary.

Likes: Myles adores honey and cheese, as would any child of Aristaeus. The sight of goat cheese and honey would make him go feral, in away. Myles also really likes to lend a helping hand in any way he can, and he will do it without asking anything in return. He likes to get down and dirty, really using his hand to do whatever project is he's working on in that moment. He also loves animals, if it wasn't already obvious enough.

Dislikes: Myles has an impassioned hatred for large crowds, as they fill him with an overwhelming amount of anxiety. He also dislikes anyone who believes they're better than any one other person, because it is his personal belief that no one is better than anyone regardless of status or background, with very few exceptions. Telling Myles that he is wrong and being able to prove it is akin to telling him that his mother has passed away. It crushes him every time without fail, and admitting it will feel even worse for him.

Fears: Myles' biggest fears are being told that he or his work isn't good enough, and being told that he's wrong as previously mentioned. Myles is a genius in ways, and a people pleaser, so he desires nothing more to be helpful, spread his knowledge, and be right. When these things are stripped away, to him, it's as if he no longer has any identity. These are his defining character traits. What is he without them?

Personality: Myles is a reserved kind of genius. He mostly stays to himself, does his work, enjoys his hobbies, and keeps a tight circle of friends. If you see him on campgrounds, he's only doing one of a couple of things; tending to the sick and injured, cooking, cultivating, or creating. Creating what? Who knows. It could be a new magical remedy for bruises or another type of cheese. Myles is incredibly eccentric, so your guess is as good as mine. He likes to keep his projects to himself until he's certain that they're up to and well beyond his standards. While he keeps a very small circle, he is full of nothing but love and adoration for the ones he keeps close. They're like his family, and there's almost nothing he wouldn't do to make sure that they're happy and taken care of.

Abilities: Myles' most useful passive ability is his ability to communicate with animals and insects. With most animals, Myles can hold full conversations and ask questions or even request for them to do complex tasks. Arty, the Goldfinch mentioned previously, converses with Myles quite often and is one of his best friends. He will, at times, scope out the campgrounds from the sky and report back to Myles with any useful information for the day. While he can also talk to insects, such as bees, it's much less of a conversation and more of a series of short statements. In this aspect, it's much more controlling. Their brain function is nothing like that of a mammal or an avian, so mostly Myles tells them to do something and they do it. Myles is also slightly boosted in his strength, speed, stamina, agility, and senses during the springtime. He can do about twice what he normally can for a 160 pound 16-year-old. The boost comes from the inhalation of and contact with pollen, so he bottles it in bulk for use throughout the year when necessary. He is also incapable of getting hot during the spring and summertime because of the Etesian winds constantly surrounding him. He's always perfectly cool. Myles doesn't know if this is one of his abilities, but he has always been incredibly handy and always has a solution to a problem or a way to fix something broken.

Powers: During the springtime, Myles can control and manipulate pollen. He can disseminate small clouds of the yellow powder about 3 times a day with about a 30 minute recharge time between each use. He can also disseminate large clouds, about large enough to cover the camp, once per day. If he does create a large cloud, however, he can no longer create small clouds as it requires so much energy.

Social Status: Myles, not for lack of trying, can be seen as sort of loser. Due to his eccentric nature, he keeps odd hobbies and interests that most other really wouldn't care much for. He's okay with this, or at least he thinks he is as it gives him more time to focus on his projects since he doesn't have to worry about other people getting in his way.

Summer or Year Rounder: Myles stays at camp year-round.

Years at Camp: He's been at Camp Half-Blood for 3 years now.
