Mortal Hospitals

I keep walking. All the way to the end of the hall

"good job Amor" I say happy

I breath heavily. "May I lean on you?"

"of course!" I say holding her

I sigh, exhausted and lean on him heavily as we walk back to the hospital room. "It's Christmas Eve," I say looking at the small christmas tree set up in my hospital room. It was totally dark outside. The dim glowing of the lights on the tree looked so beautiful. I kiss Gabe's cheek. "What do you want for Christmas?" I ask

"I alright got my present" I say kissing her forehead

I reach into the pocket of my jacket and take out a small, neatly wrapped box. I gently place it under the small fake tree on the table. I smile at Gabe "Don't open it until Christmas,"

I look at her, "I um got you this I hope you like it" I say putting it next to my present

I kiss his cheek. "I will love it. I know it,"

And I will always love you" I says poking into her beautiful eyes, I jump in the bed next to her and look at our tree "this is our first christmas together" I say smiling

I sit down slowly. I slip my hand into his and kiss his cheek. I knew I must look aweful in this hospital gown. But at this moment I didn't care. I lean over and place a gentle kiss on his lips.

I gently kiss her back, holding her hand, I think she looked beautiful

I closed my eyes as we kissed. I loved him more than anything in the world. I open my eyes and break the kiss. I look outside. "Look! It's snowing!"

I get off the bed and look out the window, mesmerized by the snow. Although it takes a while due to my weakness, I manage to get the window open. I flinch at the cold, snowflakes blow inside the hospital room. I look out at the city below.

The smell of cookies and Christmas Eve dinner still hung in the air. I could here the last of the carolers as their singing began to fade. I looked down at the streets, illuminated by colorful lights reflecting off the slick asphalt rodes, and dimly lit, flickering luminaries. Most of the luminaries had been put out, and I could see a couple of people leaving the warmth of their homes to blow out the luminaries that flickered in front of their houses, but I could still see a few of them, and that made me so happy.

I look back at Gabe. I loved him so much. I never thought I'd be spending Christmas in the hospital, recovering from a major surgery, but being with him made it the best Christmas of my life. I doubt I'd have survived the surgery if he weren't there for me.

I walk back over to the bed and climb up onto it. I kiss him for a moment. "I love you so, so much. Merry Christmas, Amor." I whisper. I hand him his gift.

i see her walk over to the window, sh eopen sthe window and snow flakes gently fly and land on her perfectly straigthened hair. The light from the street reflects onto her face revealing her smile. She looked beautiful even in an hospital gown, i loved her and i was happy i made her happy. I walked over to her and gently wiped the snow out of her hair then gently rapped my hands around her waist bringing her close to me, i kiss her neck softly thensh eturns to me and says "i love you so so mucch amor. Merry christmas." I kissed hr and opened my gift. Inside the little box was a a leather bracet wit ametal link connecting the 2 braclets, one bracelet had her name an dthe other had my name and the link connecting them said forever. "Thanks amor, i love it!" I say then hug her tightly "i love you so much cereza! Merry christmas, this is yours its little but i hope you ike it" i say handing her alittle box, inside was a little sterling silver bracelet with a heart pendant on the pendant it said with all my heart

I stare at it for a long time. "This is so beautiful!" I say slipping it over my hand. To me, it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. "I love you so, so much," I say kissing him

"I was nervous you would not like it.." i said then i hugged her and kissed her

"Oh Gabe... I love it. Not as much as I love you though,"

"Good that makes me happy" i say hugging her

I loved the feeling I got when I was close to him. I kept close to him. I felt warm when I was with him. But I did begin to shiver. I walk over to the window and try to shut it but am unable to. "Gabe? Will you help me shut this window?"

"Yea no problem baby" i say running over, i shut the window and tke of my warm northface jacket i help her put it on and i wrap my arms around her mking her warmer "better?" I whispher into her ear

I wrap the jacket tighter around me. I look up at him and smile. "Much,"

I hug her "does it smell like me?" I say smiling

I blush and nod.
