Jake Ryan's Bunk

"Why the heck are you sorry?" I said, putting an arm around her. I pulled her close and kissed the cheek he had hit. "You have nothing to be sorry for." I watched her expression, oddly self conscious about touching my lips to her agian...

"I shouldnt have gone after him...hes never hit me...before"

"Well...you definitely shouldn't have gone after him. But...that's alright. You're okay, and that's all that matters." I rubbed her arm gently. "Why...why'd you even go out with him? ...I'm sorry I just...." I sighed, still ticked. I just couldn't let it go.

"He was nice when I first met him and quiet...I dunno he just told me he liked me out of the blue and then ya.." I blushed and leaned against him again.

"Great." I muttered, not to happy with it. "Well, now you know. Anyone tells you that again, don't believe them. You know, unless they're from the Athena cabin and named Jake..." I glanced at her again, raising an eyebrow.

I smile softly. "Ill remeber" I said.

"So..." I said, looking down at my feet. I glanced back up at her. "About um...before..."

I look at him. "About when you kissed me?" i asked.

"Yeah..." I gave an uneasy laugh and raised my hand to the back of my neck. "That."

I smile. "It was perfect...It made me feel better" I said softly.

"Good to know..." I smiled weakly again. "Um...but you know..." Man, this was more awkward than I thought it would be. "I was thinking um... Well maybe you know..." I looked away from her face, not knowing what to say. "Look so um...that kiss...it was kind of um...you know...not...friendly...but more, um...." I was trying to tell her I wanted to be more than friends now, but well, I was sadly failing miserably.

I smile at him. "Dont worry. I like you more than a friend too" i said softly.

I grinned and leaned in quickly, catching her lips again. God, I was so happy she had said that. Man, had that been awkward!

I smile and kiss him.

After I while I finally broke away and grinned, lying down. I put my hands behind my head and looked up at her. "Man...I really missed you Amy."

I smiled, "Ya. I missed you too" I said.

"So..." I glanced up at her.

"So what have you been doing?" I ask. "While you were away?"

"Oh you know...nothing really. Just the usual. Tanning, reading, fighting, flirting." I shrugged casually and grinned at her. "My um, Dad took me to Miami for the summer."

I smile. "Sounds fun...I was stuck here"

"Oh...sucks." I said, nodding. "Well, looks like you found a way to entertain yourself." I said, pushing it once again. More friendly this time though.

I sigh. "Ya...look where its gotten me" I put a hand to my cheek.

My smile disappeared once again, as I remembered he had hit her. "I can't believe he did that. Gods, I just wanna kill him for it."

I sigh. "Ya...I believe he did it" I said.

I sighed and nodded. "I'm sure you do. Look...if he touches you again and I'm not there...just...tell me so I can beat him to a pulp. Alright?"
