Demetri's Bunk

I walk in tiredly and throw my bow and quiver beside my bed. I plop down backwards and close my eyes. I can't sleep yet. I change my clothes and brush my teeth. I put my hair back into a braid and lay down under the sheets. Eventually, I fall asleep.

I wake up the next morning and stretch. I brush my teeth, take a shower, wash my face, and change my clothes. I throw on a pair of metallic red skinny jeans, a white fitted tee, black suspenders, and a red tie worn loose. I look in the mirror. Hm. I take my braid down so my hair is naturally curled. I leave out for the day.

I walk into my bunk slowly. I grab a flute and play while I change my clothes. I set the flute aside and lay down under the covers. I close my eyes and drift off.

I wake up the next morning and braid up my hair. I change into black skinny jeans, a fitted tee, my leather jacket, and my combat boots. I sling my bow over my shoulder and leave out.

I drag Randel into my cabin and toss him onto the bunk.
I start to wake up, blinking at the bright lights that must belong to the Apollo cabin. I see Demetri standing over me with a emotionless face.
I stare at Randel. "Welcome. I'm going to ask you a few questions."
"What?"
I slap him across his face. Hard. "Don't speak unless the statement involves an answer."
My entire face jerks at the slap. I look at my hands and feet and see they are handcuffed. At Demetri's belt are the keys.
"First question: Can you switch voices?"
"Yes."
Evil. I knew it. "Were you trying on purpose to break my family?"
I make a strange face. "What? Demetri, listen. You're not letting---"
I cut across his chest with my knife. "Shut up! Answer the question!" I kick his ribs. I hate acting so harsh, but I've learned the hard way that it involves force to make someone listen.
I cry out. "No! No, I was not!" I watch the blood soak through my shirt and close my eyes. This has to be over soon.
I glare at him, breathing hard, tears streaming my face. "I'm sorry." I mumble. I grab a roll of duct tape and shut up his mouth. I throw him off the bed and onto the ground. I watch as the blood starts to pool and then patch him up. "I'll ask more tomorrow." Then I turn on my heel and walk out.
My head hits the hard flood and I'm out like a light again.

I rush in and lay the medical supplies by Randel in case he wakes up. I slowly back towards the door and sprint away.

I walk by as I was leaving and see Randel on the ground. "What the heck?" I went over to him, not knowing what to do. I poked his face. "Randel? Hello? Wake up. Do something." I see that his hands and feet are handcuffed. Great. I guess that girl Demetri has the keys.

"Well okay then. At least you're... breathing. Here's your shrimp," I said to see if he could hear me.

"Uh, yeah. But it costs five dollars. And you have to fight the bear for it." Hmm. I wonder what he'll say to that.

"Hey." I got serious. "What happened? What was that girl's problem?"

"How? Wait, you don't have to tell me. I wouldn't want to." I get up and sit on the bed.

"With the handcuffs? I don't have a key."

"Oh. That makes more sense." I felt kind of dumb. I grabbed his arms and helped him up onto the bed.

"Well careful!" I helped him sit up. "Are you okay now?"

"Good. Well what now? I'm guessing she'll come back eventually and I don't think she'll be happy."
