Walking through the fields

"Respect the gods," Athena sighed from the sky. "It'll do you wonders, Marcus. Unless you want to be like your brother Lok."

"Who?" I asked. "I've never heard of such a kid."

"You combined old-fashioned speaking with modern terms..." Athena yawned. "Not very intelligent-sounding for one of my sons. But your brother, Lok, is another son of mine. Dead."

I pull out my cellphone i type in a number "ill show you"

"Thank you... but I promise it's not that s-s-s-sim-mple," I was finding it hard to speak.

I scowled. "Hey, are you saying my articulation ain't good enough for you?" I asked. "Poor guy, I wonder who killed him"

i speak into the phone "Jerry hows it been? no im not doing that anymore. its time to pay up 7 favors" i cover the phone "what do you need exactly" i ask the girl

I cough barely able to speak. "what I- tld Yoo Befo-" I slur my words.

"Yes, I am." Athena sighed, and the clouds shifted slightly. "Poor guy? He seems to have deserved his death...."

"im not sure what you said before but" i speak back into the phone "i want you and about 15 lung donors to new york. yes its sounds wierd but do it. get here in less than 5 hours and consider all favors repaid" i hang up

I stare at him for a long, long time, then look up at Gabe.

"Mottthhhherrrr, how can you say such a thing about your own son? About my brother?" I asked in shock. "I guess it's right what they teach us in schools. You guys are cruel."

"and dont tell me not to this is the single most unselfish thing ive ever done"

"Only to those who don't act as they should." Athena smiled grimly at her little mirror to the mortal world on Olympus.

"Why... why would you do that for me?"

"So, then why don't you tell me, how is one should act?" I asked.

"One should respect the gods, respect others. Not go off foolishly killing like you have attempted and failed miserably to do."

"i dont really know maybe its because i grew tired of seeing others in pain or a more compassionate side of me is forming your guess is as good as mine"

I smile, feeling tears of graditude flow down my face. I give a prayer of thanks to the gods. Mostly Demeter.

"if im correct Jerry will be here in a hour and a half" i erase my talk with jerry off my phone and his number

I was getting closer. "Thanks, for pointing that out...mother" I said.

Athena snorted and put the mirror down, ending contact with Marcus.

I leave.

"Thank you..." I say so greatful

"your most welcome" i smile feeling a wierd feeling
